NYSC / 2016 BatchA Stream2 - As We Awaits CUL Tomorrow, Here Are Things You Should Know by kazolad(m): 8:57pm On May 12, 2016
While you await tomorrow 13th of May, 2016 for the printing of CUL(hopefully), pls bear in mind the following ;
1. No specific time slated for the printing of call up letter, thus expect the CUL link to pop up on your dashboard anytime tomorrow.
2. Incase the link doesn't pop up early, don't panic, you are still on course. It pops up late most times.
3. It's unlikely all 36 states across the federation host 16A, stream 2 PCMs for their camping exercise, as orientation camp would only hold in certain states.
4. Orientation camp for 16A, stream 2 PCMs to hold mostly in states with high no of PCMs. Thus, choice of deployment just got narrower.
5. Those posted to insurgent states(Adamawa, Borno &Yobe) would hold their orientation camp elsewhere but with the option of redeployment after the 3 weeks camping exercise.
6. Accept whatever your state of deployment is in good faith. Do not fall victim to fraudsters. Nobody (not even NYSC officials) has the power to change your state of deployment until after the completion of your 3 weeks camping exercise.
7. Finally, would like to wish everyone here good luck n favourable posting.

NYSC / Good News To All 2016 Batch A Stream 2 Corps Member by kazolad(m): 10:33pm On May 11, 2016
ABUJA - The National Youth Service Corps
(NYSC), Wednesday, denied a rumour
peddling through the social media that it had
cut short the ongoing orientation exercise for
the 2016 Batch 'A' by shifting the stream two
till the end of the year, due to scarcity of
fund.
The NYSC Director of Press and Public
Relation, Mrs Abosede Aderibigbe debunked
the rumours in an exclusive phone interview
with Vanguard in Abuja.
Aderibigbe described the report as unfounded
and a clear misrepresentation of the truth,
spreading around by the enemies of the
scheme.
According to her, the exercise is on course as
scheduled by the scheme, urging the general
public to disregarded the report.
"It is not true, we have not postponed the
stream 2 till the end of this year as
speculated. The scheme is on course. People
should disregard the report," she clarified.
Aderibigbe called on the prospective and
serving corps members not take information
as regards to the scheme's activities from
the social media.

Politics / Jonathan Gave Fayose $37m To Defeat Fayemi – PDP Secretary by kazolad(m): 8:36pm On Jan 31, 2016
Olusola Fabiyi, Abuja
Embattled Secretary of the Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party Dr. Temitope Aluko, has alleged that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, $37m cash to prosecute the June 21, 2014, governorship election in the state.Aluko said the money was effectively used to defeat the then Governor of the State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress. He spoke with reporters in Abuja on Sunday. Aluko, who said he was part of the team that prosecuted the election and also added that he was the chairman of the Intelligence, security committee for the campaign. Beside, he said he handled the waiver Fayose got from the PDP at the national level to enable him qualify to take part in the governorship primary. To further buttress important roles he played in the emergence of Fayose, Aluko also saidhe delivered the congresses that produced Fayose and was also the governor’s principal witness at the Election Petition Tribunal. He said Jonathan initially gave Fayose $2m in March 2014 for the primary election and that this money was collected at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.Aluko said, “It was about $35m dollars which is about N4.7bn he gave us for the real election and for the primaries, he released 2 million dollars to Fayose.“I have details for all I am saying and I was present when they brought the money and it was Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro that brought the money, the 35 million dollars which he delivered to Fayose at Spotless Hotel.“I can name eight people that were there. We were all there because he said he will want us to take delivery so that there will be transparency and accountability.

Romance / New Year Resolution Tips by kazolad(m): 9:41pm On Dec 31, 2015
New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes
Some take it seriously. Some bid it farewell just after the clock strikes twelve. Some call it a Second Chance to Dream with Eyes Open. New Year Resolution — no one can deny having made some. People change with time, so do their aspirations. Seriously taken, Happy New Year Resolution is an opportunity to gauge our goals. For the adventurous souls, it is the opportunity to tickle a funny bone or to try something bold. These are some of the amazing New Year Resolution 2016 ideas. Some are simple, some are exotic – but each is unique in its own way – there is surely a one that would appeal to you!
1.Look Where You Stand –Made loads of resolutions last New Year’s Eve? Accessed how far you have stood by them? If not, it is time you did!
2.Accomplish the Incomplete –If you still feel that the resolutions you made last year and abandoned midway are worth a second shot, give it another chance!
3.Realistic Resolutions –Instead of weaving dreams in the air, make a resolution that would have significance in and add a meaning to your life.
4.Monitor Progress –Resolve this year to monitor how far you are holding on to your commitment – it will help you to hang on.
5.Quit an Addiction –It will not take you anywhere good, trust us. If it does you no good, why stick to it? If needed, seek help of support groups or professionals. If you have the will, you shall find the way.
6.Back to School –Learning has no age. Pick up where you left off.
7.Fit in Fitness –Secure a future with fewer trips to the doctor – exercise. Select a regime you can stick to. A group activity may add the element of fun to the routine. Lose some flab. But don’t set any strict target, for then the chances are you may get de-motivated and quit.
8.Soak up New Skills –Learning something new and interesting is always fun and a value addition too.
9.Healthy Hogging –Think before you put any morsel in your mouth. Occasional indulgence should be there.
10.Lose the Loan –Pay off any debt you may have and feel light at heart.
11.Sack Stress –This sounds easier than it actually is, and there is no magic tip. You have to find your own haven.
12.Contribute for a Cause –Giving back to the society is the least we can do to make the world a better place to live in.
13.Treasure your Treasures –Splurge is fun, but saving should be the way of living. Plan with your future in mind. Relax the grip once in a while for that blissful indulgence. But should be just one or two annual affair.
14.Liven up Your Lifestyle –Professional growth is okay, but your personal life requires attention too. Strike a balance.
15.Organized –This is the key to make life easy, manage time and live stress free. Make a proper To-Do list, and you are half way there already.
16. Above all move closer to your God.
17. Add your own

Religion / Lagos State Govt. To Monitor Churches, mosques Preaching Hate Messages by kazolad(m): 6:11pm On Nov 18, 2015
The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. Abdulhakeem Abdullateef, made this statement during a meeting with members of the Nigeria inter-Religious Council, at the state secretariat, Ikeja. He said:“Henceforth, we will start to monitor mosques and churches and ensure that clerics do not engage in hate preaching capable of endangering people’s freedom.“Our constitution recognises the rights of every citizen to express himself or herself in a way he or she believes. Also, everyone has the right to freedom of religion and conscience.”He also asked clerics to remove their external loudspeakers after use so as not toconstitute a nuisance to their community.“This is the time for advocacy; leteverybody realise that they have the right and freedom to practice their religion, but you will be stopped from practising that religion if it creates mischief and under Section 45 of the constitution, the government is empowered to put a stop to your freedom when it endangers otherpeople’s freedom.“We are going to ensure that this advocacy is taken to the grass roots to let people know that we are not stopping them from practising their religion but the rights of others must be taken into consideration,” he added. The co-chairman of NIREC in Lagos, Dr. Saheed Timeyin, also advocated the need to prevent youths from having contact with religious extremists. He advised the state government to include Peace Education in the curriculum of primary and secondary schoolchildren for them to imbibe tolerance.
