I believe it will happen someday. It may be 10 ,20 or 30years time but it is becoming realistic

Like I said before, the constitution allows a Nigeria to be governor of anywhere within Nigeria. Including north and southern Nigeria. Lagos is no exception .

The constitution allows anyone to be governor anywhere in Nigeria so it so it is possible.

A lot of destruction within 6 months :

Destruction of nylon and disposable plate business because they cannot restructure LAWMA to be more effective

Destruction of people’s properties in trade fair . Some of those properties have been there since Goodluck Jonathan

Destruction of those car showrooms along lekki corridor after giving them permission. They even made some people to claim lekki car dealer association and show support for the demolition .

The rate at which FIRS is computing their tax since last year is another topic . They don’t even look at if you are vat exempted or not . They just want you to keep adding to what you have already declared and paid.

Stress: living in Nigeria is stressful . There is always one stumbling block or the other that the system will place on your way to success. Customs, police, road safety , nafdac, LABSCA with their demolitions, etc will find a way to make your life miserable resulting in emotional worry and distress which can spike your Blood pressure

Low education : A good population of Nigerians are not educated to know what is good or not good for their health .

Poverty : many cannot afford drugs for their illness. BP DRUGS , Diabetes drugs etc are now more than the minimum wage

I am presently in possession of 4 properties in Surulere my late father bought from 4 different Igbo men in the 1970’s, all this talk of tribalism is absolute thrash from poor minded Ndigbos.

Mind u what u said is crap about renewing land after 99 years expiration, if the family is still in possession of the land, u do not need a governor’s consent for any renewal, it kicks in automatically by the operation of law, only when the family decides to sell or convey the land, a governor’s consent is required.

This is the most senseless reply I have read. Don’t you know people can inherit lands? Or should I break down my comment for you to understand the point ? I mean if the offspring of the landowner want to renew the 99year lease agreement , will it be honored with this level of tribalism being exhibited in lagos

one should be careful investing in lagos. I wonder what will happen after the 99 years of land ownership expires? will they allow you to renew or will they share it to their brothers even if you have megastructure on it?

The sad reality is that most of our good doctors have relocated and a good number of what we have left are those that couldn’t pass the exam to relocate broad.

Governor of lagos state has refused to clear drainage and fix roads . It is unfortunate that we are sliding back to bad governance despite the structure fashola and ambode put in place . Rather than clear drainage he preferred to ban pure water and nylon rendering peoples investment useless.

Igbo - Yoruba feud will not allow them unite and protest. The endsars protest was successful because there was unity until the politicians started pushing our Yoruba RONU narrative and the protest ended within 2 days. That same tribal card has been played since then. The most recent tribal card was renaming bus stop .

Thinubu increased income tax from 10 to 20 percent to 15 to 25 percent .

He also increased capital gain tax from 10% to the same rate as income tax (15% to 25%) or 30% for cooperate tax.

I don’t think this increase is a smart way to start . He could have just maintained the old rate and increase the tax net.

A lot of people will want to do all they can to beat the tax system because it looks as if you are working for the government for almost 3 months and the remaining 9 is for yourself. I can’t imagine giving a corrupt government without accountability 25% of my income especially because they do nothing for me. I fix my road , clear my gutter , provide security , provide electricity and water for myself.

With the way this country is run and with the 2026 implementation of the new tax laws, I see only politicians being able to afford a good life.

Lagos was a very clean state during fashola era. You hardly see dirts dumped on the road. Now they have to ban nylon, pure water and takeaway plates just because of how inadequate this current lagos state government is to waste disposal.

This is the worst law ever. I am trying to change some rusted iron sheet in my company frontage and do painting and these people are billing me over 8million as they said they consider replacing damaged sheet as renovation . They charge one quarter of the current approval cost of any project. I will have to leave the rusted sheet like that . This law was made to extort people and make things difficult for those trying to repair their roofs and other house repair .

Nothing good can come from these current people in power. I am not expecting anything from them
