The peaceful protest must go on. Our leaders are insensitive to our plight and the only way to show our displeasure is with a peaceful protest . If people don’t turn up for this protest , there will never be another protest in Nigeria again because people will no more take it seriously.

Businesses are shutting down government is increasing the tax burden without incentives to boost income and pay better tax in future.

Is it only lagosians that pay tax used in developing lagos?

What kind of stupid statement is this. Lagos government charge as much as 15m to 20m to give approvals to hotel and filling stations. They charge huge tenament rate, let us not talk about the taxation of businesses but when it is time to demand for benefits from lagos government who receive these taxes they remind you that you are not from lagos .

To those supporting the government to tax banks and to frustrate Dangote and other big conglomerates in Nigeria, it’s only a matter of time the taxation will reach your doorstep. This is how tyranny starts.

Trading foreign exchange sometimes comes with huge profit as well as huge loss. It will be unfair to take 70% of the huge profit because “they did nothing to make it” . Will you share the loss when they do noting to make loss as well?

It is only a matter of time these leaders will come for medium scale businesses like schools , filling station , hotel, eatery etc to fund a budget and once they see they succeeded , they will come for the very poor that support them.

I pray my money to get second passport will be complete soon. Nigeria is in the hands of heartless leaders .

At this rate the economy cannot grow. How can you just be taxing indiscriminately without accountability on the previous taxes you have collected .

Sometimes I feel as if we are cows in the hands of Nigerian politicians. Whenever they need money , they will just milk everybody and go on spending spree on themselves. Once the money is exhausted they will return with their milk bucket and if you complain that the milking is too much they say you are unpatriotic .

We need to hold these politicians accountable if not they will scare every investor out of this country.

Are we supposed to celebrate? No brain to generate income just like Buhari.

Even Dangote is now wailing . I have always wondered when he will wail considering how much of his net worth has been eroded by exchange rate and Nigerian bad economic policies .

In as much as people wished Obasanjo did third term, they should be aware that had it been the constitution was amended even a terrible president like Buhari and tinubu will want a third term as well.

See how they are saying it as if they have a blue print on how to do it. I wish Nigerians will come together as one and fight for good governance .

My post is only for sensible Nigerians. Stay away from it

By may 29th, President Bola Tinubu would have spent a year in office. How has this impacted your life positively?

For me there is nothing positive in his first year in office:

1. Exchange rate has never been this bad. The purchasing power of the Naira has been eroded. I went to buy tyre for my vehicle and I was invoiced a whooping 125k for a tyre . Food prices are at its all time high and there seems to be no end in sight

2. Insecurity is still on. Travelling by road is like committing suicide. What government don’t know is that where there is peace there is progress. I wonder how they intend to achieve progress without peace .

3. Too much deceit and promises. I observed a very disturbing trend of lies by a government that should be winning the heart of Nigerians. They keep promising after promises and still nothing tangible has been implemented. Look at the Portharcourt refinery they promised will come on stream last year, till now nothing to show seriousness of the government to making it work.

For me this government performed far below expectation .

Tinubu is trying to tax the country to riches . It’s just like someone trying to buy what he sells and hopes to get rich by it. This is the most clueless government in Nigeria history .

The sad part is that he is still in his first term. What will happen in his second term in office ?

Next month makes it 1 year in office and so far no result from the ministers , they are only making eye service efforts with no result . Dave umahi is the only exception I can see.

This is one of the major problems of doing business in Nigeria. Every staff is looking for loophole to loot the company dry. They have this "na my papa work?" Mentality and This can never bring development

Difference not much . Already depot owners were selling 1350 to filling stations last week. If depot owners buy from Dangote 1225, they will sell at around 1325 which is just about 25 naira difference .

He wants to prove that a government can perform what others use two terms for just in a term and I quite agree with him.

Development is a continuous process. 4 years cannot be enough to develop Anambra.

If you have something to offer why do you want to do one term?

Honestly this economy is favoring a lot of Igbos. I was with a friend of mine that sells used trucks and he was telling me how is capital base moved from over 200m to 450m since Tinubu came to power as they have to revalue their stock once dollar rises. Many of those that import solar inverter battery are now billionaires because of this same naira devaluation. Those that thought they were doing Igbo’s did not know they are doing themselves .

I don’t see hope anymore. It seems what is on board is to grab any piece of Nigeria you can and hold it for your unborn generation.
