I dnt think they should,hence the answer to your question is no, as long as 1 John 1:9 is still practiced

faithful and just and will forgive
us our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

I hv come across so many people with the thought of "mehn, lemme do it just this once, after which I will go for confession/confess my sins",don't think it ends there,humans are tempted to sin, without giving in a second thought we fall in knowing full well that our forgiveness is guaranteed
