good morning, I am still waiting to hear from them from my second application but what I did different was that my sponsor who is my dad explained the lump sum that was in his account( it was as a result of liqudification of a fixed deposit account and we attached a proof to that ) then we added landed properties papers, my mum acted as a co sponsor this time with her CAC documents of her business.

Yes generic is personal assets and financial status .

I am not talking about this application now.. Submitting the relevant documents to prove your sponsor's source of income will take care of this..

I mean when re-applying, make sure you go through your application(documents, SOP, LOE e.t.c) again and see yourself as the Visa Officer to make sure they won't find any other reason to refuse your application..

Like I said in my earlier post to your query, it's likely another Visa Officer will take over your re-application. And once this happens, the Visa officer will treat your re-application like a new one.. Meaning he/she will go through the entirety of your re-application and not just this reason you have just tackled...

I just received my GCMS note, with this Same person again “AH03849“. What I filled out was entirely different and contradicting with what’s on the GCMS. I am sponsoring myself and attached all documents to do that. But here it states parents/pa to sponsor. I’m just so mad at this guys. I don’t know if I should seek JR or just reapply. This is so sick, all my land and house documents, pof of 60k cad, proof of employment, cac to show I’m capable of sponsoring myself was submitted. And now I’m seeing parents to sponsor like wth. Refused on personal asset

That VO fit no like Nigerian

This is actually easy to tackle...

They know the required funds are available but they have little concerns about the source of the funds... Guess you didn't submit enough documents to back up the source of your sponsor's income..

If your sponsor is working, you will need to submit Payslips of your sponsor, official documents, promotions letters, and other documents to show that truly he/she has a job that brings in consistent income.

If your sponsor is a business person or owns a company, your sponsor needs to submit CAC documents, contract documents, Transaction receipts, and other documents to show that truly he/she has a business that brings in consistent income..

In all, you will need to convince the Visa Officer of a source of a consistent flow of income.

And note, it's not about the Visa Officer cos this same Officer would have approved some applications , in fact, you should pray your re-application goes to this same Visa Officer cos if it goes to another Visa Officer, he/she will treat your application like a new application and will see other reasons to refuse an application.

That is why if an application is first refused for just a reason, the next refusal can come with 4 other refusal reasons.

The prayer everyone should pray is that God should direct your application to the Visa Officer that will favour your application...

I met a travel agent recently who facilitates admission solely to the university of Manitoba. He said all I needed was my WAEC results and that TOEFL or ielts were not compulsory as The school recognises Nigeria as an English speaking country.

He also assured me it is a 'study and work' programme.

All I need are thoughts on these. Seem legit?

there we go.That was an error on ur part that u have to fix in ur next application .put in ur very best in this next application and leave no stone unturned. if u have d funds, pay ur first year tuition to show more commitment. u may or may not do GIC since u have discovered what was wrong.make sure ur letter of explanation is well drafted too.
make sure from now till u re apply ur account is ok oo.no unnecessary transactions oo or lump sum.the V.O only has issues with ur source of funds which means with a good letter of explanation with all evidence, u will get ppr by Gods grace. no go spoil am oo.

yes but according to her there were unexplained sum.Can u share the full detail of ur application and documents submitted ?. if u sent all evidence, including work I.D ,pay slip,mom work ID or CAC documents and invoices as the case may be and all evidence of those income with explanations in ur client info and she still delayed u, my brother,no other option o but to go for JR but if u were not exhaustive enough, then u cud try again and show more commitment since she is not sure the money will be available 4 ur studies that's y I suggested full 1st year tuition and if possible, GIC

My HEBREWS 11:1 GOD has come through! I testified that this month, my Hallelujah will be louuuuuuuuuuuuuuuddddddd! The wait has been longggggggggg, but on Saturday, the Lord reminded me to hold onto HEBREWS 11:1 and to be anxious for nothing ‘cos my approval is coming this week. I started classes in September and Oluwaaaa, it’s been difficult! Omoooo, Master’s no easy o!!!!

I am in my late 30s with previous travel history, completed undergrad in the UK almost 18 years ago, education gap is like 12 years, half of my siblings are abroad. As a first time applicant, I used an awesome agent, but looking back at my SOP and the wealth of information you all freely give on here, it certainly wasn’t perfect but my EVER FAITHFUL GOD perfected it all!!!!! Thank you to every single one of you that selflessly shares credible information on here and to those who are simply silently reading, may God arm you with the wealth of knowledge that will enable you giveback and help others. The ideas I was blessed with from this platform: completing upfront medicals, using webform, how to bombard IRCC with emails to appeal to them and info from landing gists. Ohhhh, lest I forget, GCMS notes, too - never applied sha.

My wait was for three months, and I know there are scores of applicants whose application has been pending for even a year - my charge to you (irrespective of your religion) is to meditate on HEBREWS 11. I promise you, even when I was a Muslim, this scripture ALWAYS comes through for me.

POSTING MY TIMELINE, got my Ppr last week but have been busy with work.
I got my PPR on October 7,
Second time applicant.
My timeline goes thus,
My first application was done with a consultant in Canada, though I met her in Nigeria when she came for educational fair.
I sent all the required documents to her,I think she submitted the one that pleased her, lol.
Applied December 28,2020
Biometrics date -Jan 4,2021
With NSE requirements which I submitted too.
Refusal came in on Feb 23,2021.
With the below reasons,
1.They are not satisfied I'll leave Canada based on my ties to Canada and my country of residence and
2.Based on personal asests and financial status.

I contacted my consultant,she said she'll request the note to find out the reason for the refusal but I've to pay $1,000 for the note, lol. Before then I've joined nairaland, I was surprised to see how she requested for such amount just for the note. That's where I've to end the business with her.

I decided to order the note myself and find out the reasons.
When the note came out.
They mentioned that I was single, mobile , without any dependants.
They mentioned about lump sum deposit in my account and my brother's own(My brother is my sponsor)
Complained about bank irregularities cus I used microfinance bank,said some font were bigger than each other , that the total Money available will be insufficient overall for the full time study. I applied for four years course though.

However,the lump sum came in millions without any provenance ,both in my own account and my brother's own.

What I did differently.
Yes the money was available but we don't know how to prove it.
First I changed the course to two years course in order for the money to cover the living expenses and tuition fee payment for the two years.
I didn't want to pay any upfront fees , I only paid my acceptance deposit.My brother moved the money to my account all at once up to 50kcad, I even printed the mbs the following day. But I wrote a very detailed letter of explanation. Narrating all the points in the GCMS NOTE and what I did differently to tackle them one after the other.
