Study Visa Approved after about four applications.

#1 - 3 or 4 Applications, lost count (2018-2019): All denied due to insufficient funds. Different proofs of funds are submitted, including self-sponsorship using a bank account and fixed deposits (from major banks and Microfinance Institutions), employer-sponsored, etc. None was sponsored by a sibling in Canada, unlike the 4th application below, because the sibling was in school and couldn't do it at that time.

Latest Application (4th or 5th)- submitted 08 August 2025 (17 Sept PPR) - Sponsored by younger sibling in Canada (citizen)

Sponsor Documents submitted
Letter of Sponsorship
Affidavit of Sponsorship
Full first-year Tuition Receipt Payment by Sponsor
Sponsor Identity documents
Sponsor's employment documents (Letter and payslips, annual income about 8x first year tuition)

Note
Admission: 2-year diploma

No previous degree, just a post-secondary certificate and a professional diploma
Age- 41 years and married with three kids
The sponsor paid the full tuition to demonstrate commitment and wrote a support letter committing to accommodating the applicant and providing all necessary financial support for the applicant to study in Canada and return to Nigeria.
Lots of prayers.

I really need a professional advice here.... I want to apply for CONTINUING CARE ASSISTANT PROGRAM at Easten College Nova Scotia.... The challenge is that the school is among designated learning institution but non pgwp approved...

A Friend there advised me to go for it since they allow earn as you learn... He said while on the program I will get PR by applying for Nova Scotia provincial nomination program which will not be difficult since it's a health program and it's in high demand in the province...

Guys is this really worth going for? The tuition fee is about 11k cad..
I am not a professional but I would recommend you to avoid any school or program that does not qualify for a PGWP. You can find schools and program that are close to 11k per year.

Check out Northen Lights College in BC. It is relatively affordable and has campuses in more affordable areas than Vancouver. I am not sure its Care Assistant program qualifies for PGWP. I think that program is less than 8 months. Read more on their website.

Hi fam,
Good evening, all.
I need your advice on a matter that's been on my mind.
Between a diploma in youth & Childcare and early childhood education, which of these two has a high job prospect/PR in Canada or is in high demand?

I am currently in my first year in early childhood education. And i am considering switching to youth & Childcare in my second year.

My focus is one that I can get a quick full-time job and fast PR.

What do you guys think?

Kindly advise
Both have shortage of labor in Canada but they are slightly different.

Early childhood is mostly safe as you will work in a normal daycare. Its shortage of labour is generally because the field does not pay well. It is usually minimum wage or slightly above that. So, most people don't want to go to college and earn the same wage with someone that do not attend college at all. Early childhood educators often open their own daycare after some time to get more money than working for someone. So, you will see many daycare (small or big; basement or facilities) with open positions hoping to find someone that don't mind the pay.

Youth and Childcare occupy the gap between early childhood and full social work. It pays a little bit more but its labor shortage is generally because the work can be a little dangerous (I think). You may be dealing with trouble youths and children, working at homeless centers, or dealing with people with mental health challenges. There are few cases of stabbing and death in that area (Google it).

With all these info, which one do you still prefer? Only you can truly answer that.

Wow, thanks for your response. Both admissions are master's level in engineering. I am proficient in English but a beginner in French, although I'm open to learning.
If you plan to learn French rigorously before you arrive and your Quebec admission tuition fee is lower than Calgary, I will say go to Quebec. If you cannot learn French well and become immediate before you arrive and your Calgary tuition is lower, I would advise you go to Calgary. Studying in Canada is tough, combining that will compulsory language learning will make it harder. Wherever you go, you will have to write and pass one Language exam for PGWP. You might as well go to Calgary to make your life easier a bit since you already know English. You can learn French at your pace and go to Quebec later if you want to.

URGENT!!🚨

Please I need advise, I was offered an admission to both Calgary and Montreal. Now I'm very confused as to which to choose, hence I need people's opinion as another point of research. Although the course from Montreal is what I will enjoy the most, I don't want that to be the deciding factor.

I would appreciate if anyone can shed more light as to which province I should go for and why, most especially if I'm thinking of residing permanently. Thank you so much and God bless🙏🏽🙏🏽.
One will need to fully assess your profile and the admission you have to give a better answer.

1. What admissions have you secured?

2. What is your level of proficiency in English and French?

Generally, Quebec is fighting to be more French-oriented. Avoid the province if you cannot speak or understand French and you are not ready to learn that with your course. The government of Quebec is increasingly making French mandatory for everything, including Instagram posts by businesses (Google it) and Québécois are loving this policy.
TravelRe: Offer Of Advice For Interest In Studying In Czech by Kemie2022: 12:05am On Sep 14, 2021
Hello everyone,

I am new to this process. Please I have some questions.

1. When is the normal admission cycle in Czech for Bachelor's and master's degrees? If there is any before September 2022, is it too late to apply?

2. Can my husband and three kids get visas with me or after I get there?

3. For the proof of funds, how many months' statements and total funds are required?

4. What is the visa process like?

5. What other advice will you give me?

My profile snapshot: I have a Nigerian Certificate in Education, a professional diploma in Early childhood education, and over ten years of teaching experience. I don't think I can get a master's without a bachelor's degree. So, I will like to do a bachelor's degree in education. I found the Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development program at the University of New York in Prague.

I look forward to your reply. Thank you.
