It could be true about the modification as you guys suggest. Just that a Nigerian financial analyst thought that the price was too much for 12 considering other sectors of the security who need funding specially the police. |
Quick FYI, why is Nigeria paying $600m for 12 A - 29. Ghana is buying 9 A-29 for $88m, do the calculation. |

[quote author=KingAzubuike post=82604362]Where did this one get such ridiculous information from? Nigeria has the best land troops in the world and USA paid them to capture Taylor ? [ Me sef ano hear before ] |
Nigerian soldiers are not desperate and dangerous , Boko Haram keeps getting stronger, if they were really desperate, sheaku would be dead. Honestly how Nigerian soldiers attack is funny, no coordination...just moving and firing gun trucks after that the air Force drops bombs and say scores are dead.A force with over 55,000 personnel, tanks, APC's, jets, artillery and Boko Haram less than 3000 men , no armed drones, Jets and tanks yet it's been how many years now? So were is the SBS, the airborne all the special forces of Nigeria?, I only see them in pictures and videos but action against Boko Haram. If I'm lying show me where I'm lying politely |
well....it's no big deal , keep up the good fight, and let's all hope by the end of this year Boko Haram would have been neutralized. |
That's the thing about the Nigerian government, they're refusing help from other nations...you the need the assistance ooo ...as you know already you're the giant of Africa, we're looking up to you.If you can't defeat Boko Haram, how much more AL-Qaeda. |

look at protective equipment of the Ghana army squads |
My worry is still on the protective equipment. From the video most of them are not wearing helmet, ballistic vest etc.

[quote author=KingAzubuike post=88644708]Yeah you're right. Nigerian army has always been waiting for Boko Haram to attack them first before they attack. That's why the battle has taken this long. [Exactly my brother, the Nigerian army is playing a defensive game instead of going offensive. They're just waiting in the trenches to be attacked, but I don't blame them, they've no choice, most of them are Junior ranks. ] |
It's like all the weapons the Nigerian government is buying is not reaching the guys in the trenches. And the attacks are not coordinated very well, very body is just shooting. Some of the soldiers are also not properly protected, no helmet, ballistic vest and some don't even wear boots. |
It's the truth Nigeria is taking long and some of their weapons are old. |

Honestly speaking, Nigeria is one of the most armed forces in Africa and the world at large, but I think Nigeria is taking a long time to wipe BH. The service chiefs should change their tactics and approach. Also Nigeria should allow ECOWAS form a coalition force including Ghana, Senegal and i'vory coast, these countries soldiers are not facing any insurgency threat for now. And honestly, Nigeria's service rifles are very poor...the AK's are old, at least Ghana and Senegal use M-16 series. The battle is not only Chad's. |
