when you got your visa, did you get it according to the duration on the new passport ? Was it a tourist visa?

Someone else replied my thread and said I should inform them, but I think its too late since it will be ready for pick up in days. I'm confused. Should I just be patient and stop worrying?

They gave me a visa that has the same duration with my new passport.

First time commenter here.
I and my husband submitted our passports yesterday. Prior to this, we renewed our old international passport and it was signed 19th of June while we submitted 30th of June. We recieved the passport request mail 2nd of June.

This is my question : Our application was on our old passport. After we received the passport request, we went renewed pur passport before submitting but did not fill a web form or inform them that we renewed. I don't know why I'm just slightly worried that this may be an issue.could this lead to any problem?

When we got to the VFS centre we asked a staff working there if this would be a problem, but he said no it won't. And we also found people who did the same thing. Hubby thinks it's not a problem at all because the old passport number is always boldly written on the data page and can be verified.

It is a tourist visa application and hubby has travel history from Canada, as he schooled there from 2009-2015.

It is not an issue. I renewed my passport before submitting it to VFS without filling a webform and my passport was stamped. Since a staff told you that it not a problem, you don't have to worry about it. The good thing about the renewed passport is that the embassy will give you visa that has the same duration with your passport

Is not an easy task, but while in Canada, one can always try their luck, but the chances of a visitor landing one that will allow them to change their status are extremely slim but not impossible.

I read in one of these visa forums how a Nigerian guy with a visitor's visa got a teaching job as a mathematics teacher. He stated that it took him nearly a year to get this position, despite having a master's degree and teaching experience.
