http://footiehound.com/ The NPFL Match Day 17 fixtures have rounded up. There was a change of positions on the table as the league gets into shape with the boys gradually being separated from the men. 10 games took place on the day, exciting fixtures albeit with some surprising scorelines judging by the NPFL’s standards. Nasarawa United thrashed MFM FC 4 goals to nil. We didn’t see that coming based on MFM’s form this season. Not a drubbing of such magnitude. However, there were impressive numbers on the day in most of the fixtures and they are listed below. 10 wins on the day. All home wins. The sky is blue! No draw on the day 25 goals were scored on the day The home teams scored 20 while the away sides scored 5 1 red card on the day. Brandished to Gombe United. Enugu Rangers continued their woeful run. 1 draw and 4 losses in their last 5 games and stay 6 points off safety 5 clean sheets on the day MFM FC conceded the most goals – 4 The highest number of goals scored on the day in a single game was 6, as Akwa United beat Shooting Stars 4:2 The most goals by an away side - 2 by Shooting Stars 3 penalties were awarded on the day – Abia Warriors, Ifeanyi Ubah and Plateau United 1 hat-trick on the day – Akwa United’s Ibrahim Alhassan Akwa United scored 4 of their goals in the first half 2 braces on the day – Adetunji for Abia Warriors and Babawo for Niger Tornadoes Plateau United maintain top spot as El Kanemi move to 2nd place Remo Stars continue resurgence and now sit 14th on the log That’s all we could cover for the Match Day. We look forward to the next one and hope some away results materialize. |

Aubameyang! the best of the lot |
Karanka gone! |
Yeah... U have to move beyond the basics and there is no better way than engaging in projects... Funny enough no matter what you think u've learnt, projects will widen ur horizon beyond what u think u need... |
I think enums are basically used to enforce a list of pre defined options that must be adhered to. For example.. True or false... Only one can be chosen at a time.. External values won't be accepted |
U r welcome |
http://www.mrc-productivity.com/blog/2016/08/7-principles-of-modern-web-application-development/ Do well to read the comments too. Insightful to say the least |
I was more interested in the comments... Eye openers |
Til tomorrow. I'll be looking up to them andela fellows..... Geniuses abound in that fellowship. |
Finally... Na belle we dey find.... Most Companies out der don't care if you have read clean code, design patterns, etc and implement their designs, procedures and suggestions in your app. They mostly ask for a portfolio of projects you've been involved in. At the end of the day. U writing an app from scratch in the old notepad editor doesn't even matter to them. I guess those abilities only count to renowned and seasoned software bodies like silicon Valley, Google, etc.... Nd maybe in programming competitions... Little wonder u'll come across seasoned developers who have built major apps but yet can't write the fizz buzz program or even sum up the elements of an array.... But finally... Na belle we dey find.... |
Loool... If the industry is to conform to oga larisoft's standards.... I dare say 80% of so called programmers may fall short |
Lol |
Laravel php developers are really doing a good job in publicizing the framework on many platforms. May not b a bad idea to get the hands dirty in it.... |
It ain't easy... Requires a lot of hard work. Only Java is a handful. Not to even mention the numerous frameworks one must b conversant in to stand a chance in earning jobs... Funny tin is I just learn to build apps and try to master the procedures for specific apps.. Hardly beat my chest saying I program... But when I go out... I see a lot of stack overflow hounds who don't even know what a switch statement does nd I console myself.... Killer programmers are out there though... |
U even try sef to be EXPERT for 3 languages.... |
U can learn to build apps with it in one month. But knowing the ins and outs in one month? Lol... If u ask me... Impossible! |
Eduonix and Udemy. Best in my opinion.. Especially Eduonix... Very practical oriented |
appcypher:That's the issue... Most times d pay won't fit |
Brackets text editor... Intellisence is cool... Live preview is dope |
Donald3d:Lol. Lagos to b precise. Na so we go dey stack overflow them. |
stack1:Well. I'm more worried about how much they would pay for a developer who fits into these requirements |
Requirements: JavaScript MySQL HTML5 CSS Concepts: JSON, Object Oriented Programming Concept, API Framework: Laravel CakePHP Angular JS jQuery Framework 7 Bootstrap Operating System: At least one of either Windows, Mac, or Linux Projects: Hybrid Mobile App Web Apps Restful Web Services IDEs: Netbeans Eclipse |
By Richard Eng. Source: Quora The major languages in IT (Information Technology) are: Java - the general-purpose enterprise standard heavily used for server-side web development; used to write Android apps Python - general-purpose scripting language, popular for numerical computing, financial industry, web development, etc. PHP - used for server-side web development C# - general-purpose and largely Windows-centric C++ - general-purpose and high-performance; used for nearly everything, esp. financial industry, scientific computing, game development C - used for writing operating systems, device drivers, embedded software, etc., the very foundation of IT JavaScript - the native language of the web browser; also used server-side in Node.js Perl - general-purpose scripting language, once very popular, but has since fallen out of favour Ruby - best known for Rails, a server-side web framework Matlab and R - languages specializing in statistical analysis |
Well.. It's not like getting into Andela is easy. Being the best of the best among ur peers doesn't guarantee u a place in Andela.... Most of their developers are quality churning out massive chunks of code on github...... Andela is good.... In the long run they offer exposure. |
Their developers tight! Good for andela. They deserve it |
When white professionals wey don get der hands dirty in code for decades dey criticize PHP dem go mention valid reasons me no dey understand one bit... Highly advanced nd cryptic stuff .... ND they get thumbs up meaning they are right..... But Most of the developers on here bashing PHP are just doing that for the sake of it..... ND no matter how hard it gets bashed... It ain't going away soon.. Rankings carried out in recent times by tiobe index, IEEE nd Co can attest to that.... User community and support is massive.... ND majority of companies recruiting in naija demand php as a pre-requisite...... In fact the only time I've heard mention of ruby and ruby on rails in the corporate sector here in Nigeria was by Andela..... Have nothing against ruby though.... Decent language.... Rails? Decent framework.... But then, it's different strokes for different folks..... ND by the way..... Facebook still uses PHP.... |
duvie92:C# is cool for Web Development if u have knowledge in ASP.net... Also cool for Android if u lay ur hands on Xamarin..... |
Just type the metroframework keyword on Google nd then navigate to the github page wer u can download the dll files.... |
Metroframework controls for designing in the visual Studio IDE.... C#.... and VB. Net
