Controversial socialite, Charles Oputa is back again and this time he has openly stated his opinion on Aisha Buhari's recent outburst on her husband during an interview by BBC Hausa. Charly wrote on his page; I don't believe that our First Lady, Aisha is crazy, unhinged or trying to sabotage her husband's efforts, rather I see her as a woman who is frustrated in trying to communicate with her husband, a woman who probably haven't had any lately in decades, a woman who is sick and tired of all the male macho bullshit and above all very afraid of these treacherous, vile and evil Cabal whose plans are not in the country's best interest. She may have her game going. Who knows. For the First Lady to say all that she said understanding the consequences living with the kinda man who wouldn't really mind confining her to the kitchen, is very noble and courageous. My people can this explain the confusion in Aso Rock today or the inaction/in-sensitivities of Buhari's government towards us, the people? The bad spirits have taken over, Holy Ghost Fire!!!!!!!

Charly boy finally reveals why he decided not to vote in the 2015 elections between GEJ and President Buhari. In his words: Our leaders know they are ultimately responsible for the lives and fortunes of the people and If they fail, many of us will get poorer, suffer and die for nothing. They often deny the burdens and loneliness of leadership, thereby becoming incapable of facing reality, they tune down their inner voice, because it is too painful to confront or even acknowledge it; it may, however, appear in their dreams as they try to resolve conflicts rustling around inside their heads, cabinet or homes, therefore , their work and function derails and personal lives get out of balance. They lose touch with those closest to them̬ like their spouses, children, and best friends who can no longer synchronize their points of view and they eventually lose their capacity to think logically about important issues. Long and short, the country and its people suffer, especially the poor masses. My people, look at Us now.

National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says that there's a large quantities of fake and expired drugs, supplements, oil and beverages in circulation in Abia State. In a statement released yesterday, the agency alerted members of the public that fake Goya olive oil , unregistered drugs and expired vitamin supplements as well adulterated beverages in circulation in the state. Officials of the agency during a mop up exercise at the Ariaria International Market in Aba reportedly discovered that the dates of some drugs which had expired six months ago have been tampered with and re-written using a handmade machine. The statement said although some of the perpetrators are on the run, their shops have been sealed.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has arrested a 56-year-old man, Christopher Nnabuihe, for selling faked Peak Milk. The suspect, who lives at 42, Cameroun Road in Calabar, Cross River State, has confessed to the crime. A NAFDAC statement made available to Southern City News on Tuesday quoted Nnabuihe as confessing that he procured cheap powdered milk and branded and branded it as Peak Milk, which is more expensive. “I buy the already printed (Peak Milk) 440g packs from Ariaria Relieve Market in Aba, Abia State and bring it to Calabar for refilling. I seal them up with candle light. “One 50 kilogram of the milk will fill 27 pieces and that is two cartons and three pieces. I sell one carton of the fake Peak Milk for N6,000 and make a profit of N1,000 per carton. “You can only suspect it to be counterfeit through the taste because the packaging for the fake and the original is the same,” he was quoted as saying. The Cross River State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Dr. Isaac Kolawole, said the agency acted on a tip-off to arrest Nnabuihe. “We have been receiving complaints of adulterated Peak milk from consumers, which made us to swing into action. The suspect was arrested when he was supplying the products to departmental shops. “Taking such an unwholesome and questionable product may result in some form of health problems as nobody can vouch for the content of the fake product and the good hygienic practice. We will carry out laboratory analysis on the product,” he said. Kolawole warned that the agency would continue to track persons who indulge in adulteration of NAFDAC regulated products for arrest and prosecution. He said the prosecution of Nnabuihe had commenced at a Magistrate’s Court in Calabar while judgment had been fixed for November 28, 2016.

Please help me make sense out of my life because I am so confused. I was s*xually assaulted by a close friend. He held me down and practically performed s*xual acts on me. I had to go into hiding away from him because I was so ashamed. Never even knew I was assaulted until I went online and researched the signs. I bolstered courage to confront him in front of close friends and he denied everything. He was even laughing while denying everything. And that left me wondering if indeed it happened... I decided not to pursue it. We returned to being friends and I tried to block out that memory. I just discovered that all my friends think I am a liar. That I made up everything just to spite my close friend. And they want nothing to do with me. Even he that assaulted me told me recently that it took the grace of God for him to forgive me. He told me that since Jesus has forgiven him, that means he did not do it. That it was the devil using him and he won’t accept that he did it. Yet he was concerned that no one should hear about it. He even called me sometimes to help quell the rumours when it was spreading. But I am the victim here! Should I not be the one doing the forgiving? I wrote it down in my diary exactly as it happened and I swear I am not lying. Yes I have told lies in the past but I cant hurt a friend with such weighty allegations. I have known him for over 4 years. How can I deal with the loss of friends after 5 years in school? Where do I start from? Why is everyone seeing me as the accused instead of the victim? Help me make sense of this because I am beginning to doubt my sanity.

Mavin Record’s First Lady, Tiwa Savage, in a recent interview talked about her career, controversies and more. Read excerpt below: How have you handled all the controversies that trailed your marriage in April? It’s been the grace of God and I think I have been able to pull through by simply immersing myself in my work. And the bad press and ‘nasty’ things written about you? Generally speaking all that has been written about me doesn’t really affect me anymore. When I got into the industry initially, it was very difficult for anybody to realise this. But now, I have come to the realisation that the hard work you put in and the positive things that you do as an artiste always outweighs the negative. Whether you’re in the media, a banker or a nurse, you’re going to have people talk about you. Not everyone loves Jesus Christ so who am I to talk about people saying things about me? You can’t make everyone happy. I don’t try to waste time on people that don’t love me, so I just spend time with people that love me so I don’t disappoint them. How do you handle embarrassing moments? I don’t really think that I have had embarrassing moments like that. But I did have one recently while performing on the stage; where my cloth ripped off. I grew up around boys and my brothers teased me a lot. So, I am used to people making fun about me. I don’t take life too seriously and also, Mavin Records comprises of men; Di’ja and I are the only females. My male colleagues are all fun to be around. So when something embarrassing happens, I just take it laugh off and never take it to heart. What is next for Tiwa Savage? The next stage is how to work and break into the international market. I definitely don’t want to forget my Nigerian roots. I think that when you sign international deal, there is this tendency to forget home. We artistes also tend to forget that the main reason they signed you is because you were doing very well at home, so you can’t forget that. So, I am basically just trying to strike a balance with both audience and market. My dream is to grow the Tiwa Savage brand at home and abroad.
