The National Agency for Drugs, Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Thursday, December 29, in Sokoto State destroyed illegal, hard and expired drugs in Sokoto State worth millions of Naira. Dr. Musa Umar, Director of Narcotics and Controlled Substances of the agency, who represented the acting Director-General of the agency, Mrs Yetunde Oni, led the destruction exercise at Dutsen Babari in Dange/Shuni local government area of the state. Some of the products were voluntarily submitted to the agency by various governmental and non-governmental organisation.

Nigeria's most popular blogger, entrepreneur and former model, Linda Ikeji has reportedly turned down the sum of two million dollars ($2m) partnership investment into her recently launched social networking site, Linda Ikeji Social (LIS).

In an exclusive report, the 36-year-old self acclaimed Africa’s biggest blogger, turned down the deal after owning up to her team that she is oblivious of the value of $2million in her new business since it is a new brand.

Reliable source disclosed to the publication that the investors were said to have proposed to own a percentage of the new social networking site for the value of $2million after seeing how fast the site is catching on.

The investors suggested that she use the money in massive advertisement for the new brand and for technical support but Linda turned it down.

It was learnt that another source close to Linda Ikeji revealed that this is not the first time she will turn down a major investment into her online business, as a few years ago, she also rejected a major seven digit investment into her blog which has eventually paid off as she currently enjoys the enviable position as Africa’s richest blogger.

A Montenegrin artist collected thousands of wasted tin materials and turned them into a 5-meter-tall sculpture that depicts a bottle of beer being poured into a glass. I want to start by apologizing profusely for my profanity. It's not how I roll . i am one person who promote discipline and respect among dancers towards their clients and one another. However this issue is REAL. We MATTER and deserve respect as we have become part of the building block of the entertainment world.

We communicate with our bodies what words and sound can't express. We paint a picture that defies laws of nature ND produce masterpieces beyond mere imaginations.
It requires a lot of brain power to begin to be a dancer not to talk of the ability to command muscles people can't imagine using and that is still underrating the Power of the Art of Dance.
From youth empowerment to mind empowerment it is the least looked into form of psychological, physical and spiritual reformation.
And I can categorically tell u alot of lives have been changed for the better because we danced.

So WE MATTER. beyond the dance floor we matter against all odds of societal definition of success we matter,thrive and we rule.
So it is time we take control and have a voice. Create structure that will protect us from further disrespect and I will do all in my power to continue to protect dancers.I know great minds out there in our world that will rise up too. It's been years and I have been quiet for too long.
And this is not just in Africa it's everywhere.

As part of efforts to address the alleged corrupt practices of some judges in the judiciary, the National Judicial Council, NJC, yesterday issued a directive to all judges presiding in “sensitive and highly visible trials such as election petition proceedings” to declare their assets before they begin proceedings on such cases and immediately after they give judgement on such cases.
This directive will be reflected in the new code of conduct for judicial officers which is currently being reviewed by a 10-man Judicial Ethics Committee set up by NJC.

The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), has claimed responsibility for the blowing up of Chevron's Escravos Export Pipeline at Escravos Offshore.

A statement by the group, signed by Major General Mudoch Agbinigbo, said the pipeline attack took place at about 3:45 am on Tuesday and was carried out by its Strike Team 06. The group similarly announced that the attack was executed as a further warning to international oil companies that there should be no repairs to damaged pipelines pending negotiations and dialogue with the people of the Niger Delta.

Nollywood Actor, John Okafor, otherwise known as Mr Ibu, has said that he is in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s action against the Nigerian judiciary in relation to the allegations of corruption and judicial misconduct leveled against some judges.



It was recalls that the DSS, had on October 7 and 8 reportedly arrested some Supreme Court justices, Appeal and High Court judges over corruption allegations.



The actor via his social media said his support was based on the fact that most accused judges have folded their arms and allowed injustice ,corrupt practices persist in the judicial system as a common man is unlawfully detained without being tried and accused or refused bail even when they are found guilty or not.
