Things have really changed in those we served in the north from lagos to the north nothing like kidnapping we only have armed robbers especially in Niger state . But now we have kidnappers. Bandits, herdsmen ,terrorists and unknown gunmen what a Country. I will always advise corpers or travellers on long distances to Devise a means of travelling in the day time because apart from travelling in the night in those days l can't try it now . Any journey that requires me to on my car light l will rather stopover in and sleep over and start the journey the following day . Now as a corper if you are travelling from enugu and left at 9am how on earth will you get to onitsha at 3pm . And from onitsha to asaba 2hours haba which type of journey is that . Enugu to onitsha should max 3hours (but suppose to be 1hr 30mins if not for bad roads and security check points at every 100/200meters very pathetic) Then onitsha to asaba max 1hour but normally 30mins . The summary is if you are leaving very late and going to lagos stopover in Benin and start your journey early the following day . Although it can still happen in the day time but it is more rampant in the night. I pray for their safe return home .
The management of NYSC can sign an MOU with Airline for corpers to be given rebate ticket for example if ticket is 100k they can give corpers like 60k /70k and allocate like 20seats per flight for them this will reduce the security challenges they are facing.

I have done Land thanking Investment with them thrice now but l did 5m . For example for 5m if you do it 1st of march 2024. On April 15th 2024 you be credited with 1.250m (6 weeks after Investment) . Then all your Investment documents will be given to with a Post dated check of 6.1250k that will be due in the 1st of march 2025.
But before you do the Land banking.
1 . You ensure you go to their Office for proper Documentation and investigation

Government is the number one creator of this problem for their employees because of lack of jobs , underpayment , failure to provide basic amenities, obnoxious law(that civil servant cannot do any other business except agricultural related), insecurity, just to mention but a few . SOLUTIONS: Government should provide more employment for other dependents of, payment workers well. Provide good roads , electricity, affordable housing program for civil servants once you employed and confirmed you are given a car which can be subsidized and deducted from your salary fractionally, then as soon a civil servant is married they will be given an affordable house with structured paymrent plan .
Make the public schools to provide free and quality education. Allow and help government workers set up businesses like poultry, fishery, pure and bottled water factories, mini mart, barbing saloon they can be supervising after close of work and weekend these will make to stay healthy physically, mentally and financially..it will also reduces corruption.
Individual habits should be cut down most government workers chew more than they can bit spend extravagantly on cars, drinks and extra marital affairs.
SOLUTIONS: Go for moderate cars , join cooperative society in your organization, limit your drinking habits especially with friends and make it an occasional thing, Go into agricultural businesses since that is the only thing government allow for now. Be a family man reduce or stop extra marital affairs. Shop at the open market as civil servant do not show off "cut your coat according to your materials " stop running rat race. Just to mention a few points here.

Societal created problems such as family pressure from dependents, wickedness, insecurity, bad behaviour in work places and homes.
SOLUTIONS: Do not succumb to unnecessary family pressure, invest wisely, be focused and plan for tomorrow. There are too many challenges that makes civil servant poor on retirement. Every civil servant is expected to train their child from 0 year to about 30year so if you have 4children that means you are training them for 120years which you may not live up to . This will make you poorer in retirement.

my experience when i tried to teach my wife was a fearful one the very first day l gave up. it was an open field but l made sure it was not when the field will be busy. lnstead of her to press brake she acceletrated and the car attempted to fly and l have to cross my leg from the passenger's side to match the brake. After that l told her l will never teach her again and she went angirily to register with a driving school and within two weeks she was on the highway from Abuja Airport road to zuba (those of you that know the road know how dangerous that road is uptil now) everyday except weekend and at drives in the night.
