I have recently developed a craze for watching movies based on travel. This can either be the time travel, or simply traveling to exotic places like Costa Rica. Many of these places have also been my great source of motivation for joining some volunteer program abroad. So which movies can you suggest me, which can be the best to watch? |
I have recently joined a volunteer program, where you can travel abroad and help the economy, while at the same time have your share of fun. Now, my worry is that many of my friends are recommending for Nepal, and many are against it. What do you suggest? Has anyone volunteered in Nepal before? Any recommendations would be helpful. |
Hi. I am planning to purchase a whole new wardrobe of footwear and dresses from Amazon. But obviously that is costing me way too much. Can someone help me with the coupons or deals on Amazon if you are aware of any? I am hoping for a major saving through the coupons. |
I have been receiving a lot of phishing emails lately. And no matter what tool I use, I am unable to protect my mail box of messaging app from receiving such messages. Someone suggested me phishprotection.com as anti phishing security solution. But now I don't wish to take chances with the security. So can anyone tell me if they have used this solution before, or any other tool they use to save themselves from such attacks? |
Something interesting I found: The importance of discrimination We don't want our lives to be devoid of meaning, but we don't want too much meaning either. If too many things are meaningful, feelings of overwhelm and complexity kick in, possibly leading to anxiety, emotional vulnerability, and hypersensitivity. A psychologically stable person is very able to discriminate and does it all the time. It means he or she can give proper weight to things. Proper weight means you can look at a thing, concept, or event and determine how important it is, to whom, in a particular context, at a particular point in time. "A psychologically stable person is very able to discriminate" If nothing is meaningful, there is no point in being alive and we speak, again, of a (depressive) personality disorder. The task we are faced with is creating an optimal balance of meaning. This means we should be able to discriminate between activities that are meaningful (enough) and those that are not. The fact of the matter is that most people are stuck somewhere between having no meaning in their lives and achieving an optimal balance. They could go with a bit more meaning. This may mean that (1) maybe they are discriminating too harshly and their standards for what can be considered meaningful are too high. Or maybe (2) they are not spending their time on the right things in life. Or maybe (3) they don't know what the right things to spend their time on are for them. |
I have been facing a lot of negativity around me these days. The most of the credit can be given to my negative state of mind, which has started hampering my personal life a lot. Can anyone let me know if there is any Positive Psychology course online, that helps you practice the positive energy? |
I recently came across an article where I got to know that mobile phones also have something called SAR Value. And one should really check this before buying the phone, since it lets you know about how harmful your phone radiations can be. I never knew something of this sort was also possible. https://soakmind.com/tech/what-is-mobile-sar-value-how-to-check-sar-value-of-any-phone/ I usually just check the features and purchase the phone. But it seems like I have to go through the SAR value too. |
Hi all, One of my friends' birthday is coming up next week. And I was planning on gifting her a very nice yet funny tank top. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any such on Amazon or other such websites. Can anybody recommend a nice website for the same, where I can buy such stuff? Also, if not the funny tank tops, anything funny with the dress would also do. She is more into funky costumes than anyone else I have ever seen. So it would be a great help. |
Hello All, I have seen many musician friends of mine who find solace in their instruments. And truly, that is one of the biggest motivators for me to start learning the music. But I am confused which instrument to begin with? Piano or Guitar? I can't take help from my friends since they would be biased towards their own instruments. So can anyone of you guide me through this please? Also, I have heard that KW Music Studios is one of the best to start the lessons. Has anyone been there before? If not, which are the other studios you can recommend me? |
Hello All. I have recently shifted to USA and I am trying to enter the field of health insurance sector here. But so far, whatever little research that I have carried out, I have found that the employees need to go through HIPAA training mandatorily in this area. Can anybody let me know what is this and why do we really need it? I cannot find any convincing answer on the web. Thanks. |
Hello All, My children are currently in class 6th. And they are very fond of reading. They have already got the habit of going through good novels kept at my home. And now they want some more. But I am not having much clue as to which novels would be interesting for them. I have gone through a Bookbot as well to know how well they are doing in reading. Literally, I am highly impressed. Now, it would be amazing if you can suggest some good books for them. Imagine a class 10th kid needing a book, because that is what my children are capable of these days. |
