Before Amaechi even thinks of vying for office again, he should account for the Rivers State treasury he allegedly squandered on Buhari’s 2015 campaign.

Allow the uploading of election results from polling units directly to the INEC IReV portal?

Remove the President’s power to appoint the INEC Chairman?

Ensure that the INEC Chairman comes from the southern region if the sitting President is from the north, and vice versa?

Guarantee that all electoral disputes are resolved in court before elected officials are sworn into office?

Establish an independent and alternative source of funding for INEC?

These are the real issues they should be addressing.

What has happened in this scenario is a true picture of how some people of igbo extraction try to denied and politically dissociate themselves from the enclave called Southeastern Nigeria in there quest to avoid being victims of marginalization of people of Southeast by the FG.

Okiro must have been enlisted into the NPF with Rivers State indigineship because he believed his chances of getting the job and climbing into the ladder of his profession would be more easier with Rivers State origin than the Imo because of the systemic hatred on the people of Southeast.

A testament of this fact is that Mike Okiro himself was not the most senior DIG to his predecessor Sunday "Enhidero" (I am not sure if the spelling is right) but DIG ogbonnaya Onovo. Onovo was denied the opportunity to become the IG because he is from Southeastern State of Enugu (Pardon if it is not Enugu) but I know he is from Southeast.

Even the appointment and confirmation of Okiro himself was very difficult but the then president had no other choice than to appoint him since the third most senior officer was enlisted a far decade behind these duo DIGs.

He decided to pick Okiro who "was" (pending the adjudication of the matter by the court) from Rivers State provided the position of the police Chief never gets to the Igbo of Southeast Extraction. Although, things are even better then than now that retirement bound officers are appointed substantive Chiefs through elongation of service year by impunity

Hi everyone. Seeking for help. I had earlier booked an appointment in AVIT website and had gone for an interview, and I was denied visa. The only combination that can push Tinubu out is the one with a large Northern following and sympathy votes from the south using a party that has nationwide structure. And all of that is ponting to a merger of PDP, NNPP and LP into one while they scour for renegades and discontented people from APCs and then holding strong the states the individual parties control.

As unfortunate as it sounds and as badly as it tastes in the mouth only ATIKU and Obi combination now, under PDP or another coalition of PDP, LP, APP and LP can do the job.

Kwankwanso has seen that Northern Leaders are gavanizing supports for Peter Obi from North and want to move faster so he can lay claim to the VP position before anybody from North declare interest. The issue on ground now are 1. Northern elites have not agreed as to who will become the VP. A notable Royal father from North may likely be the choice and not Kwankwanso. I sympathize with the victims and the dead however, the criminal society festered by age long bad leadership in Nigeria is now affecting both the rich and poor. Our leaders think twice!
