A calf born with eyes, nose and ears
resembling those of a human is being
worshipped by Indian villagers who believe
it is an avatar of a Hindu God, Lord Vishnu.


The calf was born on Thursday in an animal
shelter in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh,
northern India.


Soon after its birth, hundreds of locals from
surrounding villages gathered to pay their
respects.


The animal died within an hour of its birth
but that did not stop more locals from
coming to seek its blessing.


Video footage
shows people offering flowers and bowing
before the dead calf, which has been kept
inside a glass box since it died.


Locals have now made plans to build a
temple for the animal.


Speaking of the animal, Mahesh Kathuria,
50, a local businessman, said:
“God has taken birth from the body
of a local cow. We came here to seek
his blessings. Religiously, it is an
avatar of Vishnu.


We believe it’s a
similar character mentioned in
Bhagavata Puran, a Hindu religious
text.”

The policemen attached to Area M
Command , Idimu , Lagos have arrested a
housewife for allegedly selling four out of
her five children to different buyers
without the knowledge of her
husband.
The woman simply identified as Vicky was
arrested following a petition by her
husband to the Area Commander,
Assistant Commissioner of Police , ACP
Austines Akika.
Police sources said the suspect was selling
the children one after the other and
successfully sold four , leaving out only
one, PM express reported.
It was learnt that she lied to her
husband that she took the kids to their
relation until the husband later discovered
she has sold them.

Her strange commercial activity was
exposed after she sold the last child for
N400 , 000 and her husband was tipped
by a neighbour.
The husband reported to the police and
she was arrested and detained at the
Command cell.
She was said to have already confessed to
the police while efforts were already
being made to rescue the children and
arrest the buyers.
It was reported that the woman was able
to carry out the illegal sales without her
husband’ s knowledge because the
husband , who rented an apartment in
Idimu area of Alimosho local government ,
works outside Lagos, where he stays
during the week and returns home
weekend or monthly.
It was gathered that the woman told her
husband that she took the kids to her
relatives to cover her tracks.
The woman is still in detention while the
police are carrying out
investigations to locate the
whereabouts of the children .

Two persons have been killed by Fulani
herdsmen who attacked them in a bush in
Afam Uku, in Oyigbo Local Government
Area of Rivers State.

Blazegist were able to gather that the at­
tack might be due from resistance from
the victims against the destruction of their
farm crops by the herdsmen’s cattle.
However, the Caretaker Committee
Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government
Area, Dr Chisom Gbali, who confirmed the
killing yesterday to Journalists, said the
deceased, both males, were attacked and
killed by the suspected Fulani herdsmen in
their farmland.
He said: “We woke up this morning to
hear the story of the killing of two
persons by the Fulani herdsmen. I don’t
actually know the reason for the killing.
But, I believe that has to do with the
destruction of farm crops by cattle.
“The victims, I learnt, had questioned the
motive behind the destruction of their
crops by the herdsmen’s cattle.
There
might have been hot exchanges between
the victims and the herdsmen. One of the
victims was from Tai’’, community source
stated.
Gbali said that seven persons have been
arrested in connection with the incident.
The State Police Public Relations Officer
(PPRO), DSP Omoni Nnamdi, told journalists
that he has not been briefed about the
incident.

Suicide bombers have attacked the
University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) for the
second time in a week.
Two bomb explosions rocked the
university premises on Thursday night.
The first the explosion was heard at about
11:00pm while another bomber
detonated at about 12am.
Abu Hanifa Babati, the student union
government president, confirmed the
attacks.
The first attack, he said, “occurred around
the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, after
the bomber detonated the bomb before
being accosted by soldiers”.
He said the second explosion occurred
around a female hostel called BOT.
Babati said that the students were rattled
by the explosion.
Victor Isuku, the spokesperson of the
Borno police command, has also
confirmed the attack on the university.
“On 18/5/2017 at about 2350hrs, three
male suicide bombers with IEDs strapped
to their bodies, gained entry into the
premises of university of Maiduguri,” he
said in a statement.
“In an attempt to enter the female hostels,
they were intercepted by security
operatives. One of the bombers hurriedly
detonated his IED vest, killing himself
instantly.
“The other two bombers detonated their
near a contruction site also within the
proximity of the University premises,
killing themselves alone. Three university
security personnel reported injured.”
Isuku said the scene of the attacks have
been visited by EOD personnel and that
normalcy has been restored.

bomb blasts went off in the university. A
security guard was killed while a soldier
was injured in that attack.

A teenage boy who died after drinking three caffeinated drinks in less than two hours had no pre-existing heart problems, a coroner has said.
South Carolina student Davis Cripe had drunk a large Mountain Dew (a fizzy citrus drink), a latte from McDonald's and an energy drink in the two hours before he collapsed.
It was ruled that the student died after his heart fell out of rhythm due to the amount of caffeine ingested into his system over
Schoolmates at Spring Hill High had said the 16-year-old had "chugged" the large bottle of energy drink before becoming ill during a lesson.
The final drink is believed to have caused the cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) which led to his death an hour later.
Stressing that it was the speed at which the caffeine was drunk rather than the actual amount, the coroner said "the same amount of caffeine on another day may have been right".
Calculations using caffeine database c affeineinformer.com suggest the student had consumed just under 500 milligrams of caffeine in the run up to his collapse.
The coroner went on to compare caffeine to other stimulants, saying: "We believe people need to pay attention to their caffeine intake and how they do it, just as they do with alcohol or cigarettes."
The coroner said: 'The same amount of caffeine on another day may have been right'Davis' father, Sean, who said he was "brokenhearted" by his son's death, appealed to parents to "talk to your kids about the dangers of energy drinks", and pleaded with young people to "stop buying them".
American medical research group the Mayo Clinic say on its website that "up to 400 milligrams of caffeine a day appears to be safe for most healthy adults". That is the equivalent of around four cups of coffee.
The UK's NHS website does not give a maximum consumption limit, saying: "Caffeine affects some people more than others.
