When you are a billionaire tech mogul it’s hard to not be compared to those that came before.
Take Tesla chief executive Elon Musk for example.
The philanthropist often receives parallels between his life and that of the fictional Marvel character Tony Stark.
And then there is the suggestion that he is the second coming of Steve Jobs.
Although Musk is not overly thrilled by either comparison, the latter is more concerning.
Not because he doesn’t respect the Apple founder’s legacy — rather his fashion sense.
In a revealing interview with Rolling Stone published Wednesday, Musk talked about a time he was asked to wear a black turtleneck, which was the famous trademark of Jobs, during a photoshoot.

He was not impressed.
“If I was dying and I had a turtleneck on, with my last dying breath, I would take the turtleneck off and try to throw it as far away from my body as possible,” he explained.
Musk didn’t dwell on the fashion choices of millionaires for too long, with the interview quickly turning to his concerns for the dangers of artificial intelligence.
“Climate change is the biggest threat that humanity faces this century, except for AI,” he said. “I keep telling people this.”
It wasn’t all doom and gloom, with Musk giving insight into what drives him.
“I try to do useful things,” he explained. “That’s a nice aspiration. And useful means it is of value to the rest of society. Are they useful things that work and make people’s lives better, make the future seem better, and actually are better, too? I think we should try to make the future better.”
And what does Musk view as better?
“It would be better if we mitigated the effects of global warming and had cleaner air in our cities and weren’t drilling for vast amounts of coal, oil and gas in parts of the world that are problematic and will run out anyway,” he said.
“And if we were a multiplanetary species, that would reduce the possibility of some single event, man-made or natural, taking out civilisation as we know it, as it did the dinosaurs.
“There have been five mass-extinction events in the fossil record. People have no comprehension of these things. Unless you’re a cockroach or a mushroom — or a sponge — you’re f***ed.”

Coca-Cola and the color red go together like peanut butter and jelly, milk and cookies, or tacos and Tuesdays. After all, we would recognize that iconic red label anywhere. But why did the company choose this shade for its logo in the first place?
Some claim that the red color came from one of the company’s first advertisements, which featured Santa wearing his famous red-and-white suit and holding a Coke bottle. But according to the Coca-Cola Company, its famous logo dates back to the very beginning of the brand itself. (You might be surprised by the quirky, secret messages hidden in famous company logos, too.)
Over 130 years ago, Coca-Cola was sold in barrels at American drug stores and pharmacies. Alcohol was distributed in the same way. But while alcohol was taxed at the time, soft drinks were not. So, the Coca-Cola Company began painting its barrels red in order to help customs and tax officials distinguish them from barrels of booze.
The shade stuck—and the rest is history. Now, “You see a red disc icon on a storefront, and you know that you’ll be able to get delicious, ice-cold Coca-Cola there,” Ted Ryan, a Coca-Cola archivist, said. “It became a promise in a way.”
You won’t find this beverage’s famous hue in any Pantone color registries, though; it is actually a combination of three different shades of red. The logo’s typography, on the other hand, is an official font. Called “Spencerian,” it has been associated with the brand since the 1900s.

Most of us definitely haven’t thought about what a car would do if we put other liquids in an engine that runs on gasoline. But cars are running on all kinds of stuff these days, right? Like electricity, and so on? That’s what I hear. It’s worth a try to put Coke in the tank, in case gas prices go up and we all get desperate.

Thank goodness that YouTuber TechRax, who regularly destroys technology and other items in strange ways, tried this experiment for us in the name of science and alternative fuels. Who needs Elon Musk and Tesla when you have a person like this around, willing to serve the people and the planet in a 2003 BMW 325i wagon instead of all of these fancy new “electrified” cars?
