To answer your question, that's not the definition. The concept of fasting transcends ingesting food or otherwise. Just like you referenced, if someone like you can take meal at 4am and be okay for the rest of the day, then what is it really all about. Lots of folks are good like that too.

Fasting is all about belief, niyah - intention and the desire to obey the Lord's command.

And that's a crucial part of faith.

So many Muslims like me tomorrow are going to have nothing to eat before and after fasting tomorrow, is there a possibility of leaving it or what can one do In such situations?

Am already starving and our only hope comes from Allah brothers and sisters what can you suggest for us the less privileged?

Are we allowed to leave the fasting?

I don't know how to explain this but am a loving and faithful Muslim who fears Allah but I am very poor and I struggle too much before I can eat. I don't have anyone or any hope of provisions except for whom Allah has sent to me, can I skip fasting tomorrow for the reason that I have no money and food at all?
