European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Roma (1) Vs Arsenal (1) Wednesday 11th March. AFC wins 7- 6 on Pens by khanye(m): 6:12pm On Mar 10, 2009 |
• Arsenal have won on three of their last four visits to Italy, including a 2-0 victory at Milan in last season's first knockout round.
• Only once before have the Gunners surrendered the advantage in a two-legged UEFA club competition tie after winning the first game at home – that was against Valencia CF in the 2000/01 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
|
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United (2) Vs Inter Milan(0) Aggregate On Wednesday 11th March. by khanye(m): 6:07pm On Mar 10, 2009 |
• The holders are unbeaten in 18 matches at Old Trafford in the competition proper dating back more than four years. That said, Inter coach José Mourinho has more reason than most to travel with confidence, given he has suffered just one defeat in five previous visits to play United with former clubs Porto and Chelsea.
• Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimović has never scored a goal in European competition after Christmas.
• By avoiding defeat in Milan in the first leg United set a new competition record of 20 matches without defeat. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Cl:fc Barca Vs Lyon, Tuesday 11th March 8:45pm Nigerian Time by khanye(m): 6:05pm On Mar 10, 2009 |
• Barça are the top scorers in this season's competition with 19 goals in seven matches.
• The French champions have failed to beat Barcelona in five previous attempts, losing three but twice fighting back from a goal down to earn a 2-2 home draw in last season's group stage.
• Barcelona have won their two previous meetings with Lyon in the Catalan capital and have prevailed on the past five occasions they played the second leg of a UEFA Champions League contest on home soil. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Juventus(2) Vs Chelsea(3) - aggregate- On Tuesday 10th March by khanye(m): 5:56pm On Mar 10, 2009 |
• Juve have won ten of their last 13 home games in the UEFA Champions League and have not been beaten in Turin since a 1-0 reverse against RC Deportivo La Coruña in the first knockout round on 9 March 2004.
• Chelsea failed to win on their travels in this season's group stage, drawing with FC Girondins de Bordeaux and CFR 1907 Cluj either side of a 3-1 loss at Juve's Serie A rivals AS Roma. |

Music/Radio › Re: Modenine And Mi:which Do You Prefer? by khanye(m): 3:00pm On Mar 10, 2009 |
Bamsyle: The most lyrical rapper on Naija's rap scene . . . yet . . . dunno of tomorrow . . .
Thundering cyclones, how can MI be said to possess more intellectual prowess than Mode9
MI's good no doubt . . . he's into wordplay . . . it takes a world of intelligence to do that . . . also, if you take time to study him well, you'll discover he's a mix of all sorts . . . very flexible . . . influenced by various artistes . . . he's got the delivery of Kanye West . . . and atimes Lil' Wayne . . . he likes to play on words like Eminem . . .
But on the real tip, if it's gotta be raw unadulterated lyrical content . . . albeit brash and not fine-tuned . . . if you listen more with your mind than your ears . . . it's gotta be Mode9 . . .
Mode is like a sage, MI an orator . . . MI catches yo' attention from the word go . . . you gotta listen meticulously to hear Mode . . .
If you're a fan of lyrics et content, and you listen to Naija rap . . . you'll like Mode . . . MI can't even lace Mode's shoes on that level . . . if you're a fan of rhythm, delivery, cadence, you'll prefer MI . . .
They both are good for balance . . . and it's a free world yo . . . e'rrone's entitled to his/her opinion . . . but hey, when choosing either of both dudes, you gotta have a good reason . . . ain't good enough to compare MI with Mode from the intellect angle . . .
So how do I vote Should I vote based on their trademark abilities
Alright . . . Lyrics Mos' def Mode9.
Wordplay Hmm, MI's good on that . . . but by Jove, Mode even does more wordplay (cop more of his stuff and listen!) . . .
Delivery MI.
Mode wins. Mr. Lecturer |

I no won talk say 95%, dem go dey talk say i dey exaggerate. Na why all those Igbo woman wey dey sing praise and worship song dey use yoruba? It's hard seeing Yoruba artist singing in Igbo. Dj zeez be Igbo boy but shey Fokasibe be igbo thing ni. if na for the market thing wey dem talk, shey na only yoruba dey 9ja ni. Walahi we get mouth like Obama |

Ibime: In the land of the blind, the virtues of the one-eyed man are extolled to the heavens.
MI is NOWHERE NEAR Modey's intelligence. This is evidenced in the structure of their wordplay composition.
Just because your bovine brain cannot grasp Modenine's lection, that doesn't mean MI's rudimentary wordplay holds more substance. Spoken Word! |
