You don't need a test of English as a UK student. You have done your proof of English during admission, its only your dependant switching visa that will require a proof of English.

Doesn’t really matter ke!
Letter that was addressed to immigration i think, not sure now.
I will have to double check, the letter is not addressed to the owner of the visa, its only issued to you to show as a pass.
As a student, only your visa will take you out of naija, but its not the only doc that will admit into the UK.
Ill suggest you write to ukvi and explain your ordeal and print whatever response.

The officer that attended to me asked me. I didnt know what he was talking about, then he rephrased saying ‘the letter that came with your visa, with information where you will collect your brp’.
I also didnt print my CAS. I had to power on my other phone and he sighted it before letting me in.

I know the UK does not bother applicants about passport expiration issue but this is very close, that passport may expire while the visa application is still under consideration.

You left this too late, well you can add evidence of passport renewal and hope for the best

Please don’t do that. If you don’t have a credit profile, you can create a profile on Equifax or Experian, link the bank account where you pay most of your bills. Create another account on Creditladder and link the bank account where you pay your rent. Then link creditladder to your Experian account.

I never said i wanted to do that. I only asked a simple question and surprised at no doc been asked. Thats how to understand the system. People here have gotten credit card in less than 6months of been here.
Somebody mentioned he/she was asked for previous address but ignored and still applied and was issued.
Its just that we castigate ourselves too much as if we are the worst creatures on earth.
Nigerians can do too much, whether fraud or holier than thou attitude.

My family wants to put in their application next week but their passport expiry is 24th April,2022 for my wife, 24th may 2022 for the children.
Every document is ready.
Can we add evidence of passport renewal and a cover letter to the application?
I just want them to get the visa now and anytime the new passport is ready they can travel.

God will keep blessing people on this group. Provisional license out in 7 days record time with the address posted here. I saw it with passport and brp in the mailbox. I guess they came together.

Please how did you go about your provisional license, i applied online , paid and was sent a form to fill which requires a guarantor.
The guarantor is the problem like this.

As lexusgs430 has suggested, travel to the US and do all your shopping. Its cheaper than you think. If you travel off peak, you can get return BA flights from London to New York for around £350-£400.

Prior to the pandemic, I would travel to the US at least twice a year for vacation and stock up on casual/office wear. Talk about using one bird to kill two stones. My username says it all. You get the best RL outfits for the best prices in the US.

If you do not hold a foreign passport, getting a US visa is very easy. You just need to understand the "common" strategy that applies for UK resident applicants.

Please, elaborate on the ‘common’ strategy an international student can use to apply and get US visa.

I did my biometric in abuja on the 30th and i intend to go ahead with online enrolment.

My question is what could be the worst case scenario if visa did not come out before 16th?
