Oru, Ohaji/Egbema in Southern Imo to join the Southern region comprising the present southsouth zone Ridiculous. Are you drawing new regional map based on contents of natural resources, or drawing a practicable regional map? Taking more Igbo areas to dump in a cacophony of voices in the Southsouth because the Igbo areas to be taken contain natural resources. You are entertaining yourself. |
irisher:In many states, there are cities that are more economically viable than the state capital. Viability depends on how fairly distributed are government development projects among the Senatorial districts. Naming a place as state capital is no insurance for the place to be more economically viable than other cities in the same state. That mentality of once a place is named state capital, it must automatically become more economically viable than other cities in the state, prevails in the minds of too many people from Owerri. That was behind how Owerri hiding under state capital mantra forced all institutions of government that induce modern develooment in a state to be located in Owerri. |
Rebuke:But come see them with big cars and private houses every city they serve |
Glimpsetv:Even Somalia police at the peak of its conflicts did not deteriorate like this Nigeria police force. |
Who can successfuly sabotage your business empire? You can buy Nigeria, no be your fault. Fault of East and West political disagreement. |
irisher:It's Owerri discriminating against Orlu. People of Orlu invest in Owerri but you can't find any Owerri person invest in Orlu. Less than 0.5% of Owerri people know where Orlu or Okigwe is. Owerri hosts every govt thing in Imo state, used them to develop; and people of Owerri refer to Orlu as bush village. |
sweetkev:Buhari and Tinubu are more fit for president of Nigeria than her, abi? Hunger will never leave you. |
Presidency playing chess game with the life of Nnamdi Kalu because Kalu's Igbo people are excluded from apex political leadership of Nigeria. Make de chess game no result in had I know. |
GeneralOjukwu:Arresting Bobrisky is a symptom of religious leaning and values of APC government led by Muslims. Constitution of Nigeria did not forbid cross dressing. A cross dressing man of Imo state entertained the crowd all the years. |
Possibility of break up of Nigeria if north refused regional government system and fiscal federalism. At least, the north can yield to additional state in the southeast, but for resource control, I don't see north yielding. North is in overwhelming majority in the NASS due to the excess number of states created for the old northern region. |
Noneroone:Humphrey Nwosu's daring of the military junta aside, Dr Alex Ekwueme formed the G33 that fought Abacha junta legally, and eventually inherited return to democracy in 1999. PDP formed from G33. Olusegun Obasanjo was released from prison by Gen Abdusalam Abubakar military govt. Obasanjo was "appointed " president ahead of Ekwueme. In 2023, Bola Tinubu said its his turn, not the turn of the SE zone. Reasonable Nigerians disagreed with Tinubu with their votes. But Mahmood Yakubu bent down to lick his vomit after swearing that no other method except electronic transmission of vote results would be used for the general elections of 2023. Mahmood appointed Tinubu as winner. Judges mostly appointed by the ruling APC government did not question Yakubu why he did not temporarily stop transmission and collation of vote results until the so-called glitch on the system is repaired, and resume transmission and collation of vote results. The rest is history. Nigeria's people were thrown into worse hardship. |
Riosystem: In good countries, this woman would have since served as president of Nigeria. So would the former Commonwealth Secretary General, Emeka Anyaoku, from Anambra State. Ntoor to ethno-religious bigots of Nigeria. Una never see hunger. This is just the beginning but I wish a miracle saves Nigeria people from hunger. Congratulations ma'am. |
ILoveNG:Only Owerri senatorial district in Imo state will resist regional government. The zone has gotten exceptionally rich through having every government establishments in the state located in the zone. Nothing left for the Orlu and Okigwe zones to develop with. |
thatigboman:....and Muritalla Mohammed. |
Ezewuzie01:Let them go for resetting of your brain. The place you brand wretched has the largest reserve of natural gas in Nigeria. It's the zone which makes Imo state an oil producing state. Natural gas is the hot product of today's energy market. Western nations may soon stop production of engines that use Petroleum products.

Richie0001:Women, cheating and denial are like the two sides of the same coin. They are like six and half a dozen. Same as men. You can never catch a clever cheating woman. Even if you caught her red handed, she can easily deny it. Men should just move on with their business and leave women do their things. By the way, the mind doesn't grieve over what the eyes didn't see. So men should not act on hearsay over the question of woman's fidelity. |
lekkyy:Of course, the girl who made me rich. |
So what is the joy for Yahaya Bello hiding while eating looted money? EFCC don give Bello shiit. |
DeLaRue:Develop more sense. They don't consider land mass when a new federating unit is needed in an area. A northerner in 2005/2006 headed the Senate Committee for Political Reforms. The committee got a consensus from the northern zones for a 6th state in the southeast. Njaba state proposed then was adopted by Ohaneze Nd'Igbo for creation as the 6th state. That Njaba state proposal is the same as this Orlu state proposal. Getting Anioma as 6th state for the southeast diminishes political representation in Abuja for Ndiigbo.

AbujaCitiBlog:Wow. If this type of woman was married to Adolf Hitler of "Superior Arian Race" mentality, World War 11 will still be raging, and much of Europe would have become totally levelled out before now. Her constituency was with Imo state in East Central State. |
Anguldi:The same manner federal government now can win a case for restructuring Nigeria politically, or return True and Fiscal federalism to the zones or regions of Nigeria. |
adioolayi:Gbam. Enact a law to checkmate local government bosses on use of local government allocations. |
Please let the judgement come quickly. Most of Nigeria that do not fall into state capital area are receding to pre-independence level in development infrastructures. The state governors deploy the federal allocations of the Local govt Councils in a state to build vainglory projects in the state capital; projects like flyovers where not needed; multiple lane streets where one car passes in a minute. The local government areas outside the state capital are forgotten completely. |
BossGerald:Are you dreaming of a 2nd Biafra war as you want Nigeria to create all Igbos in one geo-political zone? |
christistruth01:This woman's perception of Anambra state is like Hitler's perception of German race. Flawed. This one is not fit to represent anyone anywhere. It's still the same location of then proposed Njaba state during the Obasanjo administration. It's the exact location if a 6th state is going to the SOUTHEAST. But not sure if Umunze the village of this woman YPP first time legislator was included then. |
Myopic greenhorn lawmaker. But must Umunze her village be part of the proposed new state? She is a classical negativity in Igbo land. Was she consulted by soldiers when her village was in the same East Central State with rest of today's SE? |
Senioreddy:It's impossible for Nigerians to rise up against any government in Nigeria because of ethnic and religious biases of the diverse ethnic and religious groups in Nigeria. Any uprising against a president from the SW, people of the SW will see it as an uprising against their man. If the uprising is against a president from the north, northerners will say it's against the north. |
Also use the metod to resolve the lingering issue of Restructuring Nigeria politically to zonal or regional government system with police force, true and fiscal federalism. Obasanjo tried to resolve this but failed. Goodluck Jonathan tried to resolve this but failed. The proliferation of undue and excess number of new federating units (states and local government areas) in the old Northern region by northern military dictators will hamper the resolution at the National Assembly which is unduly overpopulated by northern legislators drawn from the excess number of states in the old Northern region. |
Princedapace:Quote: "How can our elders know what should be done and refuse to do it? I mean, southern politicians know what should be done. What should be done is simple. Divide this country or at least run a regional system structure." Unquote: The political elite from the southern regions know that Nigeria deserves to be a lose federation with regions or now zones having their own laws, police force, fiscal and true federalism. But the regional or zonal government system with police force, true and fiscal federalism cannot be brought to be through legislation in the National Assembly, because through the excess number of 20 new federating units proliferated in the old Northern region, the National Assembly is overpopulated by legislators from the old Northern region who will vote down any Bill for regional or zonal government system with police force, true and fiscal federalism. Ask any northern Nigerian for political restructuring of Nigeria, he will ask you to come to the National Assembly for political restructuring of Nigeria, because he knows well that the National Assembly is unduly overpopulated by legislators from the North. |
Kukutente23:Do you ever reckon with the fact of majority in an armed forces ruling council of Nigeria then? OBJ was like a pseudo HoS; after all, he was at the mercy of, and surrounded by a horde of northern military dictators when the call to war Anthem was produced. Obasanjo was also there a lot of the times when the same northern military dictators proliferated too many states and hundreds of local government areas in the old Northern region but left only 17 states for the two southern regions. Was Obasanjo not in the armed forces council when the same councils progressively created the present unitary government system, but when Obasanjo became elected civilian president, he quickly set up a National Political Reforms Conference to change the political structure and governance system, but did not succeed? As for wars you prescribed, Nigeria has been fighting wars since after independence till now. |
Kukutente23:Colonial masters consulted all the segments of Nigeria who approved the National Anthem in 1960. Who and who were consulted by northern military dictators when they obtained that National Anthem that sounds like a call for more wars in Nigeria? |
