coputa:There is no big deal in changing a country's National Anthem. Nigeria's National Anthem that was changed was done in good faith. The Anthem was a product of military dictators from one side of Nigeria. Other legacies of military dictators including the lopsided political structure and governance system need to be changed as well. |
Risingblue008:The army was taken there to intimidate the NLC. |
naptu2:Why would a retinue of military escorts go with Ribadu to the venue of the meeting? Presence of soldiers in the meeting is abnormal. |
Princedapace:Tinubu ran around for 20 years begging for Restructuring Nigeria politically. If every zone or region has its own laws and police force, who give Fulani the gut to patrol in other zones with cattle? Fulani leaders know that these days, moving around with cattle in bushes is no more the means to breed cattle, but Fulani herders continue with the old method, because Fulani want to expand their type of Islamic religion to all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. Where are Tinubu's right hand men and advisers including Wole Soyinka? The current government system in Nigeria created by northern military dictators will consume Nigeria if not changed now.

The type of incident that can happen in a country with groups eternally hostile to one another; an artificial country; a country held one because of proceeds from crude oil in one part of the country. RIP to the dead |

Are you foolish to be using the opinions of mostly discredited politicians as reference? Even Reno Omokri as reference point. Peter Obi won both Tinubu and Atiku after both shared the votes of you ethno-religious bigots who see only religion and tribe when you choose president for Nigeria.

Nigeria Police Force views this action as a potential catalyst for increased tension and political instability. What kind of Police force would get itself into this? In the present Nigeria, Security of tenure of those who appointed the Police chiefs, has taken over Security of the populace for which Police formations are established for in normal countries. Puah! |
Return Nigeria to true and fiscal federalism. The states that took Nigeria for a booty have collected enough of the booty ranging from banning and destruction of alcohol beverages but come to Abuja to collect federal allocations derived from VAT on alcohol beverages, use of Quota System, use of 20 new federating units in the old Northern region to funnel oil revenues to the north. More than 50 years collection of these advantages are enough. Political and religious leaders in 12 of these states urinated on Nigeria's Constitution through adoption of Islamic Sharia criminal justice system, thus drew the boundaries for Arewa Islamic Republic but still clutch tight to one Nigeria because of lucre. |
ibabz:Your reference point is the figments of imagination of Tafiq Akinwale, another Nurudeen of the SW region. Commot for road, abeg. Only a few stupeed people would vote APC in the last presidential election. |
Tambuwal. Your northern Nigeria people have led Nigeria since 1960 more than 70% of the period to now. Yet the north is the least educated region and the North has by far the largest number of poor people in Nigeria. In other words, Nigeria's overcentralized government in Abuja has been like a chain tying the southern regions to the north for the purpose of bringing the southern regions down to the level of the Northern region in Nigeria. It's time for the northern region to stop objecting to return to True and Fiscal federalism or return to zonal government system. |
ibabz:Stop selling the figments of your imagination to the public. It's only ethno-religious bigots like you who would vote APC that took Nigeria to become the official poverty capital of the world and one of the most terrorised countries on earth before the last presidential election. Very few people like you voted for APC in that election. |
Stop Hardship in Nigeria by returning regional or zonal government system to Nigeria. If Abuja political class can remove their eyes from looting national treasury, they will return zonal or regional government system to Nigeria now. |
Source: https://punchng.com/many-feared-dead-in-anambra-road-crash/
Lorries abroad are subjected to revision once a year. They never fail break. In Nigeria, VIO eats bribe and allows junks of vehicles to be on the road to kill innocent people. The blood of these people killed are in the heads of VIO of the state where the lorry owner lives. Similar thing happened in Owerri last month. VIOs-block suckers. RIP to the killed. |
If not for sex, why would a man risk getting at poo, and other unwholesome things, to go into the deep recesses of a woman? |
nairalandkachy1:What brought about this talk 👄 about coup now? It's obvious that some politicians even in APC benefit from this lopsided 36 states and Abuja political structure and unitary government system with a constitution all prepared and imposed by northern military dictators, including Abdulsalam Abubakar in 1999. Is there any other country in the world except Nigeria, where military dictators from one side of the country created and imposed all these democratic institutions and imposed them upon peoples of different nations merged by colonial masters in one country? Put simply, Nigeria must go for zonal government system or to Fiscal and True federalism now. |
blacknp:You have been having a country since 1914, yet you are quenching of hunger, de use generator I pass my neighbour, even de generator you no fit buy fuel power am again. You live in one of the foremost insecured places in the world. Man with country. Before, you thought that colonising all the crude oil wells in the Niger delta region will solve your problems. Ewu. |
mancoconut: Fetching obviously infested waters Where are the Obasanjos of Nigeria? Or the Buharis. Buhari boasts trekking 17 miles during fight against Biafra as his contribution to building Nigeria. What did they fight for? There are hardly few communities in Nigeria who have access to treated portable water. |
mancoconut:Just look at the dirty water they fetch. You feel like placing a HUGE CURSE ON THE POLITICAL LEADERS OF NIGERIA SINCE 1999. |
Their own is even better because they could find a nearby place in a neighbouring country where they can find water. Govts in Nigeria no longer admit that govt provides citizens with treated running water. |
blacknp:Mouth mouth and mouth. Queues in Umuahia for visas to your Islamic Republic of Arewa or Oduduwa where the primary business is pray five times a day, save all year round to go to Riyad for pilgrimage; marry as many women as possible, and keep all of them unproductive in harems; baa shiga, those women who will venture out must be covered in buqar or hijab. Your mouth de make one laugh sef. The same way Muslims all over the world migrate to Saudi Arabia instead of to London and Paris. Only mouth na hiim you sabi. |
SpatialKing:Lagos was part of South West region at independence. Nigeria's Military officials from Northern region created the 36 states and Abuja political structure; gave 19 states + Abuja to one region but 17 states to two southern regions; to funnel oil revenues to the northern region. Otherwise; there should have been more states in the two southern regions thsn in the Northern region. Land mass or population figures is not used as yardstick to determine where new federal units can be created in a country formed by different regions. |
Benzigler:FULANI caused possible disintegration of Nigeria starting 1999-2001 when FULANI introduced Sharia Criminal justice system to all the 12 northern States largely controlled by the Fulani. All the 12 Sharia states adopted the unconstitutional sharia criminal laws. The least that can be done to save Nigeria and progress its citizens is zonal or regional government system. |
Mille:Ol guy, you are a very bitter man. Even if all Igbos in the world are kept off, your bitterness will not leave you alone. You will carry over your bitterness to people of your tribe and to your immediate family. You get serious problems but you don't know. |
Look oo. Return to regional or Zonal government system first. You can have Republic of Lagos negotiated much more easier with Yorubas, than negotiation for Lagos Republic with Arewa in one Nigeris. Look at this Lagos man sef. Without the rest of the Yoruba, and the easterners, what is Lagos? |
blacknp:You deserve your own country run by bandits. Don't expect to share one country for far much longer with progressive people who want to live in a free country. |
Appletek:Nobody from Orlu chose to fight anybody or govt. It's State-sponsored gunmen against security agencies here. |
lamentor78:Only in Banana Republics. The US military commander may have to resign if US Soldiers handle a US Senator this way. Problem is in Nigeria of too many ethno-religious divides, one semi-illiterate soldier from the North or SW region could pull off this insult to a Senator. Semi-illiterate soldiers have been asking people to dismount from vehicles to cross check points with arms raised in another city in the SE since 2021. Soldiers who don't know that the job of a soldier is protect a country from foreign aggressors. |
InfoGuru118:Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has promised to respond fiercely tothe slaying of the troops . This is exactly what the shooters of the soldiers in Aba wanted. Aba may soon become a ghost city; like the manner Orlu in Imo state became a ghost city under siege by soldiers since 2021. It is a well known fact: a city under siege by soldiers crumbles. How on earth would IPOB or any saner Igbo want that? |
ogododo:How do we re-evaluate the world? What do we do? ----- Prof Gambo L. Abdullahi. Do what other continents and countries did in the past to achieve nationhood and citizens' prosperity. Avoid the dishonest belief that one day, a messiah of a leader shall emerge from the extant political structure and governance system of Nigeria. That's like waiting for Godot. Alternative is do what Europe did after the fall of the Berlin Wall when European politicians tactfully aided the division of the multi ethnic and multi religious countries that once existed in Europe into more manageable countries; because they knew that such multi ethnic and multi religious countries do not normally succeed. Divide Nigeria into more manageable countries. |
Obasanjo's inconclusive efforts to restructure Nigeria politically when he was president is the killer punch of today in Nigeria. Obasanjo was handed over a military constitution, military political structure, military governance system, and above all, 12 states raped the same constitution by adoption of sharia criminal laws under Obasanjo government but he also looked the other way by calling it political sharia. Return True and Fiscal federalism to Nigeria or go back to the regional government system, or zonal government system. No messiah of a leader can emerge for Nigeria from the present political structure and governance system of Nigeria. |
Prenonjebose:We are not practicing true federalism in Federal Republic of Nigeria because the NW and NE zones of Nigeria see proceds from crude oyel in the Niger delta region as only means for survival in Nigeria. The two zones had adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system, the lopsided and skewed political structure arm them to largely determine who presides over Nigeria at any presidential election. |
LadyExcellency:Oh yes; Shettima is indirectly speaking to president Tinubu. But Shettima knows that Tinubu campaigned for more than 12 years for political restructuring of Nigeria. Shettima is feigning ignorance of the truth that the present governance system in a lopsided political structure is the genesis of Nigeria's political and economic malaise. |
