GistMedia0: A tragic incident has rocked the Nigerian community in France, as reports confirm that a Nigerian man has killed a fellow countryman during a violent cult supremacy clash.
In footage that has surfaced online, the suspect was seen being arrested by French police, wearing an unremorseful expression despite the angry reactions from a gathered crowd. Meanwhile, the fallen victim was seen being wheeled out of the hospital toward the morgue, marking a somber end to the disturbing event.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage among Nigerians both abroad and at home. Netizens have flooded social media with condemnation, with one user capturing the mood: "Imagine finally making it to a country where things work and all you can do with that opportunity is cultism. So shameful."
French authorities are reportedly investigating the case thoroughly, while the Nigerian community continues to call for justice and deeper reflection on the growing menace of cultism even outside the country's borders.

IKORODU, LAGOS STATE – In a major boost to Nigeria’s anti-smuggling operations, the Maritime Component of Operation AWATSE, under the command of Commodore Paul Ponfa Nimmyel, has successfully intercepted 1,306 bags of smuggled foreign parboiled rice in the Majidun Community of Ikorodu West Local Government Area, Lagos State.
This landmark operation was carried out by officers of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT on Saturday, April 12, during a routine anti-smuggling and maritime security patrol within their designated Area of Operations.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Commodore Nimmyel, who also serves as the Maritime Component Commander for South-West Operation AWATSE, revealed that the contraband was seized after smugglers attempted to breach a naval checkpoint.
The naval personnel executed the operation with exceptional professionalism and tactical restraint, ensuring that no casualties were recorded during the intervention.
The 1,306 bags of foreign parboiled rice, which were concealed and transported in breach of Nigeria’s importation laws, were handed over to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Western Marine Command in Apapa, for further investigation and legal action. The handover aligns with the Harmonized Standard Procedures on Arrest, Detention and Prosecution.
Operation AWATSE, a multi-agency security initiative, continues to play a pivotal role in border protection, anti-smuggling enforcement, and maritime surveillance in the South-Western region of Nigeria.
This latest seizure not only reaffirms the Nigerian Navy’s zero-tolerance stance on economic sabotage but also reinforces the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting Nigeria’s borders from illicit trade that undermines local agricultural production and national food security.
All lies, I was told by my relatives who trade at sabo market in ikorodu that the custom officers actually came to their shops at night, break into their shops and looted it. There was no pursuit of any vehicle as stated in this article.
Glimpsetv: Former Nigerian senator and popular politician, Dino Melaye, has sparked massive reactions online after showing off the interior of his multi-million naira mansion in a recently surfaced video. The luxurious home tour quickly went viral, drawing attention from fans, critics, and political observers alike.
In the video, Melaye—dressed casually—can be seen strolling through his lavishly furnished mansion, gently touching decor and accessories as he moves around, offering viewers a glimpse into his opulent lifestyle.
Dino Melaye, a well-known figure in Nigerian politics, represented Kogi West Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly. He is a long-standing member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and has also served in the House of Representatives. In 2015, he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) but returned to PDP before the 2019 elections after a prolonged political rift with Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.
During his time in the Senate, Melaye served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and briefly led the Senate Committee on Aviation. In the lead-up to the 2023 general elections, he was appointed the spokesperson for PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
This latest video has further cemented his reputation not just as a controversial politician but also as a figure of luxury and flamboyance in Nigeria’s political space.

While she hasn't denied me sex, I'm concerned about her satisfaction and don't want to be selfish. I'm wondering if there's an underlying issue or if there's something I can do to support her.
