Not just ringing, you should be considering crankshaft, valves and possibly the engine block and ofcourse all the seals and gaskets.....You are so unfair to that engine man.... 😂
Gotocourt:
Drove Peugeot 307 for over 70KM without engine oil. The AC vents was bringing out smoke 😱😨. Camry big for nothing 4-cylinder 2AZ-fe , oil shorting crazily, started topping her with black oil, atimes with bit of water for over a year. Till fiter got blocked and vehicle was giving a knocking sound. I changed filter and put amasco, still firing, will be ringing the engine later this month 📌🔥💯

Me dey don dey use my big daddy for over 5yrs like dis, the only time I experienced overheating was when the radiator fans stopped working, once we fixed that issue, it came back to normal. I've never opened the engine for once in my 5 yrs of usage.
No engine as as rugged as big Daddy engine.
My mechanic told me that he is not happy with anybody using big Daddy because that means mechanics will go hungry.

Benz C230 last batch, 2007. It's a beast. 30km without belt. My boy drove 240KM without oil, top cylinder burnt but still rolling. A very loyal beast but expensive to maintain.

We’ve all had that one engine that never complained, even when we forgot to service it on time.

It started every morning, handled bad fuel like a champ, and took Nigerian roads like it was born here.

Some people swear by Toyota’s 1ZZ, others say Honda’s engines age like fine wine.

But we know engines have personalities, some are tough, some are tricky, and some just refuse to die.

I would love to know your opinion on this.

What’s that one engine that earned your respect
Most reliable engines have always been Toyota for me over the past twenty years or so...Hondas were literal hell on earth...Peugeot too was reliable but not as much as the Toyotas

I can bet there's no car engine as strong and reliable like a Volvo engine especially the T5. I use a Volvo XC90 and I can tell you, it's the best car in the world especially, in this present Nigerian economy. I've not serviced the car for months now, no engine oil(though, hope to service this week) but it has never disappoint me.
Parts are also pretty cheap compared to those Japanese cars.
I now advice any hustler to get it. No engine wahala, strong and reliable and most of all, no Police wahala(them dey think say na old man dey inside).

CaseSensitive:
N57 Engine. It's a straight inline 6 litre engine with single dual scroll turbo. Came stock with 258 horsepower and 560 newton meters of torque. 8 Speed ZF gearbox. It will do 0-62 in 5.6 seconds. I’d normally use a car for a while and sell it off but this one - I’m driving it till it breaks apart. Enjoyable and fun to drive and most importantly, reliable.
Which car model has this engine, please?

My first car back in 2010 was Volvo 740(don't know much about the engine technicalities)

Young guy with no experience in car maintainance! Did plenty mistakes with that car yet it refused to give up on me!!

One particular incident remains fresh in my memory, drove this beast from PH to Calabar sometime in 2012 to visit wife and kids. The next morning, I came out, dipped engine oil stick and realised the oil was completely dried up!! Just went to auto mart for a 4litre oil, poured it in, started the beast and all was good. Drove it back to PH after more than a week in Cally before servicing!!!

Wish I can get that Swedish tank again!!!
Many people might not believe this, but I do. IV been in a worse situation with Volvo and the vehicle still took me home.
