A Yoruba man had to write the first book in your language as you were too backward,dull and primitive to understand literacy. There are lots of yoruba art objects all over the world,you have none. You did not win a single major war and your history started around 1900 but yoruba and hausa history could be traced before 1400

YORUBA are never cowards. What some call cowardice is a calculated cum calculative silence. Yoruba would never rush into a battle （especially out of anger）but carefully plan indulgence. Sometimes the resolution is a dialogue, sometimes it's just a strategic reprisal, sometimes it's both, sometimes it's even doing nothing, and sometimes it can be full blown war. One thing I can tell you for free is that , unlike others, YORUBA don't go into a war/engagement with no clear-cut route to a win. We don't engage in a foolish sacrifice （of our people）.
ABOUT DAHOMEY, the last battle between them and any part of yorubaland happened late 1800 and was won by ABEOKUTA they faced WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF IYALODE EFUNROYE TINUBU of course. The resounding defeat put the french colony in their places for life. Check out your history book.

There was a skirmish between Abeokuta soldiers and the Dahomey soldiers, Abeokuta won the skirmish, captured their flag and their national war juju which led to the first war which Abeokuta won. The amazons then came with the men for a second war which Abeokuta won again.They came for a third time and their army was destroyed.
Abeokuta is a small town that fought many battles.Ibadan comprehensively defeated the fulanis at the battle of oshogbo in 1840 and stopped the fulani. expansion. Google it.It should be noted that Ijaye guarded Ibadan flanks while Ibadan went on the offensive and won.,two yoruba towns stopped the jihad but we still have many towns that could be thrown into the battle.
