Ever since landing on next Gen consoles, this series has went bland. Same boring game structure everytime. Like MK, marketing and faux reviews-for-profit are deceiving young gamers. Gamers who have been longtime fans are clinging onto the series, desperately trying to find virtues in their latest garbage; Ghosts and Advanced Warfare

At the post regarding mk. But man mk9 was 60fps on pc already. Mkx seem to be much faster the rest, even mk9. The run feature is back which allows for a faster gameplay of wits and timing. I hope the guys praise it enuff to keep it in instead of clamouring for a the tekken style gameplay route that mk, since deadly alliance took. I never touched an mk since den till mk9 which was half decent (would have been best with a run feature)

My pc is ready. Finally a modern mk with run. So tired of the slow, tekken style mks that were released in the past

Just check GPU boss for Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M, thwy always put the scores for games like bioshock, crysis 3, Diablo III etc.

but where does it say other benchmarking sites are used as references?

bros.I got an issue...I just installed Cod mw3 but it does not work with my xbox 360 pad...I installed pinnacle and it worked. But the thing is,I installed the trial version,I wanted knowing if there's anyplace I can get the full version or a better software that can aid the pad in working...Thanks!!!

Yes, my laptop screen is 1080p and I gaming on my laptop. Gpuboss gathers benchmark info from different sites(I think) and on checking most sites, "anandtech" inclusive, the 770M was benchmarked at 29.3fps for Bioshock infinite. My cooling is crazy currently crazy, very happy with the cooling pad I bought(just that I would have loved for it to be a bit bigger) so i am obliged to think that your GPU performs better than average if well cooled.

pls where the link to dat benchmarking from gpu boss. can't find it. anyways i remember playing the game on very high on my c2d + gtx 280 pc and getting a consistent 30fps at 1080p. some benchmarking sites are all bull**** and only advertise for newer hardware by making old hardware look bad.

i fail to see how the gtx 770m was benchmarked at 29.3fps at ultra when tomshardware benchmarks battlefield 4 at 27.5 at ultra....a vastly superior game. i dnt mind the link to gpu site tho.

I am beginning to think that benchmarks may not be as accurate or reliable as we think also, system requirements can be bogus sometimes. So I just started playing bioshock infininte yesterday (previously ran it on my windows 7 partition but couldn't play it as I couldn't get it to detect my nvidia card) and I was getting 40FPS above on ultra, this is a game that was benchmarked at 29.3FPS on GPUboss and a few other sites, today I bought a cooling pad and I am getting up to 90FPS in the same game so essentially I am getting even better perfomance than if I had a 780M. I honestly don't know why the GPU is performing so well compared to the norm but who am I to say I don't love it.
Below are my fraps benchmarks for the game running everything on and on ultra. Also, in the third one where the min rate is 8, that happened when the loading circle started spinning,

daze is ur laptop screen a 1080p one? or are u gaming on a desktop. also gpu boss benchmarkings ( i have never seen one from them before even) are to be taken with the seriousness of a politician's ambition to move his country forward. they are gud for theoritical differences between gpus. anadtech (spelling) is much better.

LOL, it's so bad that I don't even branch Nigerian websites when conducting those types of searches, I go to amazon straight up, imagine seeing a Nvidia card from 2002(can't remember the exact model) as the only GPU being sold, price was 28k and the person selling it was touting it as being one of the best GPUs to game and edit, I was like WTF I can't imagine what the situation in computer village is like, you'd pay good money for complete crap if you don't know what to look for.

Still looking for a good cooling pad for a 17.3inch laptop though and computer village isn't helping,

you said it bro... nigeria has a problem especially when it come to IT stuff, the other day i checked for a HDMI spliter on konga for N8000, that same day i found the same HDMI splitter on ebay for just $4 (N800) and with free shipping, the same thing o, i advice guys if you can wait a couple of weeks just buy your stuff from ebay you wont regret it.

man if it wasnt for the dollar to cedi ratio....i'd be all over ebay...trust me.

True. Its 14'' but i think the QHD+ pretty much covers for it. Besides i hate 14'' PCs as well.

As for exchanging ur organs, the price starts from $2000. So expect to exchange some of ur limbs as well

Hmmnn, I hope so too, but the mentality this people have is quite deeply ingrained, yesterday, I ran sleeping dogs with my intel HD4600 iGPU and for the game to run at all, I had to change the resolution to 1366*768 and set the graphics to very low or low(anything above that and the game would be a complete drag) but you come on nairaland and see someone who has an intel HD3000 or 4000 iGPU would claim the game is "very smooth" and you expect these types of people to be easily convinced By the way, low or very low graphics details look terrible, it was way worse when I tried bioshock infinite with my iGPU today so I personally cannot understand the satisfaction derived from doing such gaming, is it really worth it?

Man c'mon....it's smoooooooooooooooooth. Who are u to tell them dat it ain't. But trully the state of pc gaming in nigeria is way worse than ghana I swear. Atleast here with the money I can find the parts on the online used store (tonaton and olx)

Tried searching for a capable powersupply in olx nigeria and I cudn't find any. How much more a capable gpu.

U guys, I have 0 experience with ps2 and how to side load games onto it. My experience is with emulation on the pc. I'll try finding a guide for u guys.

Edit: apparently if u can get the isos onto the ps2 u shud be able to run dem. So unrar the files u have downloaded until u have a one file iso file and put dem on the ps2.

Forget! As far as PC games is concerned Nigeria isn't gettin on any map. The whole Africa sef isn't going anywhere. Africa represented by SA were not allowed to compete in the recent COD: AW world tournament for reasons best known to Activision & square Enix. They dont even have dedicated servers for online multiplayer in Africa. My point is Africa not just Nigeria ll always be at the bottom of the gaming ladder.

Well with most gaming on intel hd graphics and calling 10fps-15fps smooth....what did u think would happen. I'm sure south africa would rectify the problem. Can't. Say same for the rest of us.

I completely concur, most people like to be lied to just as most people like to get more for less and that is why you see someone who spent 50k on a used laptop wants his PC to play games ported from a PS4 as ir that is even remotely realistic. The power situation in Nigeria is terrible so it is understandable why most gamers use high end laptops but that does not mean that say if there was good power supply I wouldn't build my own gaming rig, this kinds of people on the other hand want the portability, battery life, power and cheap price all in one package, as far as I am concerned only 3 of those options can be ticked at once and that is why I don't feel the need to bamboozle anybody about what their laptops can or cannot do. YOU JUST CAN'T HAVE IT ALL.

Thing is, posters like him are praised and their oppinions, soughted, and posters like us, shunned and our oppinions, seen as the worst thing since hiv/aids.

I believe this is because we tend to speak the undeniable truth using references (online benchmarks) while they give a watered down version of the truth backed by invalid statements of first hand "smooth" experience.

It is easy to predict that most nairaland pc gamers have laptops only gud enuff for internet browsing, movie watching, word processing and light gaming. They want to believe that they too can play the latest games with their laptops and posts such as his are the light at the end of the tunnel, the gospel and any attempt to reason with them wud result in being shunned.

This is why most report that they can play certain games on smooth, when technically it myt not be smooth. Buh hey! Who are they to complain about 10-15fps with everything on low on a 720p screen when they wertr initially told they cudn't run it well in the first place. I'm starting to believe that 5fps wud still be smooth for most of these people.
