helinues: That's the point you guys are missing. You claimed you have high GDP, GDP per Capita yet struggling about basic jobs.
Can you see the flops in you guys arguments?
If I tell you the genesis of South Africa recent problem, trust me, you wouldn't believe it. It's something not been discussed by the South Africans or people generally its not a claim but fact.. Compare Nigeria to SA South Africa has a unemployment problem granted, but also has a higher GDP, GDP per capita and higher income rates than Nigeria These thing can co- exist at rhe same time |

seppuku: And you are running away from the fact that your people are anti- black foreigner. Oh heres the played card again. was wondering when it was coming.. this card is a cop-out to critical thinking My people come first Seppuku, your should come first in Nigeria too.. if this "xenophobia" so be it.. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 5:14pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Those who see the world in black and white would share that assessment.
Some of us always see the gray. You fit that description to the tee.. Things are either "xenophobia" or "propaganda" , so look in the mirror my friend.. You're just a gaslighter with no counter argument, just getting a kick in being contrarian against a South African |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 5:10pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: You are dancing around the subject matter so you don't pin yourself against what is the obvious rhetoric.
So then you are saying it must be "zero" foreigners, Yes. Your lack of comprehension is not my problem. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 5:07pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Anecdotal evidence is cute my friend but it doesn't really say anything about anything.
I can post 5 videos of African Americans being brutalized by White police officers as a means to convice you that police are violent, however this has nothing to do with the overall stats on police interactions in the US by race You're doing what you do best..arguing for the sake of arguing.. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 5:05pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: I am trying to get clarity please. If you are not insinuating a "zero" policy then what percentage between foreign and local Doctors can you articulate is reasonable in this globalist world we live in.
What precedence is satisfactory to your people, a 95% to 5% ratio. What is the current ratio now so we understand the "scale" of the problem?
This is not algebra my friend. If the local supply of qualified people is exhausted , then look elsewhere, is that simple.. Yes, this is definitely not algebra, im baffled why you're making it complicated. qualified people from a country grappled with unemployed must take fist preference ..this is common sense |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 4:57pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: So the answer is no evidence. Hearsay again.
Speaking about effects and scale, here's a population distribution of immigrants in SA by province. It seems your drain on resources are centered mostly in one particular province as economic migrants are drawn to the main economic hub and are mostly self-employed in the informal sector.
Based on the above hypothesis, Please can you explain how your government is prioritizing these migrants and is supposed to shift their "priorities" to citizens? I dont need a pie chart or graph to tell me we have an illegal immigration crisis.. we see it, we read about it every week, we feel and see the effects on the streets
|
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 4:54pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Thank you for the clarity. So you want a "zero" foreign/immigrant policy specifically for the health sector regardless of where the worker is coming from, Europe, Afghanistan, Cuba. Klaar.
What about your nurses working in hospitals in the UK. Should there be a policy to bring them back home as well? You're putting words in my mouths so as to reach your usual "xenophobia/victim" pity party stance .. I said and I reiterate, there's no reason to hire foreign when local doctors are unemployed , local unemployed doctors must be given preference, I really can't dumb this down.. UK and South Africa are two different countries with two different employment realities, ours is a country ravaged by huge unemployment especially among the youth, it only makes sense for our people to take precedent over others. Don't make this what its not please |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 4:25pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Do you believe that the 2.36 million migrants in the Ivory coast are documented? If we are not comparing apples to apples, please present evidence to the contrary. That South Africa has an illegal immigration problem is common knowledge at this point... and whatever legal immigration the Ivory Coast might be facing, its nothing close to South Africa in scale and effects.. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 4:23pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: What do you mean by "putting SA first." Do you mean the country should have a "zero" hiring policy for anyone who is not South African? Is there such a thing in this globalized world? Did I even say this? Can you for once listen and listen well.. I said you import what you lack, (scarce skills) not what you have in abundance.. You cant import doctors from elsewhere while you have hundreds of doctors right here at home marching for jobs.. the concept is really simple |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 4:14pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Yes of course. You and Ivory coast are fighting over those additional 300,000 for first place.
Don't let us even consider "proportionality" seeing that your population is 60+ million and Ivory coasts is half that or that the size of your country stands at 1.22 million sqkm as to Ivory coasts 320,000sqkm
Poor South Africans, so overwhelmed with problems.
Cognitive dissonance I tell you. Is the Ivorycoast facing illegal immigration at the scale of SA? I think not, so lets compare oranges with Oranges here |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 4:13pm On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Let's test your so-called premise then.
Can you tell us the percentage of "foreign nationals" that are employed in public schools?
What do you mean by "putting SA first." Do you mean the country should have a "zero" hiring policy for anyone who is not South African. What if these foreign professionals "acquire" citizenship legally. Should you still be prioritized over them and if so on what basis? Jesus Christ..you're so dense, its infuriating |
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Detains, Deports Three Nigerians by KingCold: 5:35am On Apr 09 |
seppuku: Here are the 10 African countries with the highest populations of international migrants.
1. South Africa
South Africa, sometimes known as the ‘Rainbow Nation,’ tops the continent with around 2.86 million international migrants. The country’s advanced economy and thriving cultural scene draw people from all over the world. Migrants make important contributions to the labor and enrich the nation’s cultural tapestry. However, the integration process is not without difficulties, since issues concerning water resources and housing persist.
2. Côte d’Ivoire
With 2.56 million international migrants, Côte d’Ivoire exemplifies West Africa’s allure. The nation’s thriving cocoa industry and expanding metropolitan areas provide several prospects for migrants. However, rapid population growth puts a pressure on urban infrastructure, particularly the provision of adequate water supplies and public services.
3. Uganda
Uganda, home to 1.72 million migrants, is known for its welcoming climate, especially for refugees from neighboring countries. The country’s progressive refugee laws allow migrants to work and travel freely, cultivating a sense of community and mutual assistance. However, the migration puts pressure on local resources, particularly in areas where humans and animals compete for water and land.
4. Sudan
Despite its complex conflicts, Sudan has 1.38 million migrants, many of whom are seeking safety and security. The country’s strategic position and rich history make it a major hub for human mobility. Migrants frequently suffer integration barriers and limited access to basic utilities such as clean water.
5. Nigeria
Nigeria’s varied economy draws 1.31 million migrants seeking opportunities in industries ranging from entertainment to technology. However, the country’s large population creates issues in urban planning and resource management, notably in terms of ensuring sustainable water supply.
6. Ethiopia
Ethiopia has a millennia-long history and currently houses 1.09 million migrants. Its thriving coffee industry and expanding manufacturing sector present several chances. However, issues such as water scarcity continue to pose challenges for both natives and migrants.
7. Kenya
Kenya, with 1.05 million international migrants, is East Africa’s commercial and technological hub. The country’s policies have generally favored immigration, resulting in a dynamic cultural and economic landscape. Nonetheless, water management remains a key concern as the city expands.
8. Democratic Republic of Congo
The Democratic Republic of the Congo, home to 0.95 million migrants, is a land rich in resources and promise. Migrants are drawn to the country’s mineral-rich regions, but continuous conflicts bring considerable risks and obstacles, such as access to clean water and safe living conditions.
9. South Sudan
South Sudan, one of the world’s newest countries, has an estimated 0.88 million migrants. Despite its political volatility, it provides optimism to many people wanting a fresh start. There are significant issues here, particularly in terms of water access and healthcare.
10. Libya
Libya’s geographical location has made it a popular transit hub for migrants headed for Europe. With 0.83 million migrants, it is a key stop on the Mediterranean migration route. However, the country’s persistent violence exacerbates efforts to deliver fundamental amenities, such as access to clean water.

seppuku: The "means" being employed to achieve that redress. The demonization of the "other".
All you need to do is read the inciteful language being used by the likes of March on March, come back here and tell me it's not propaganda. The question is are my people being put first" when they are unemployed with degrees but foreigners are? The answer is a resounding NO!.. So why point fingers when my people demand to be put first then? Stop the overuse of the word "propaganda" because you clearly dont understand its meaning.. |

seppuku: I acknowledge migration issues. Your cabinet just approved items on the White paper that will address the asylum seeker and migrant crisis.
As far as high unemployment goes, What does a somali spaza shop owner have to do with your employability? What has the Congolese hair dresser have to do with where your women spend their money to do their hair?
You have unemployed doctors and wastages in your hospitals because your government is tendering moneys away that are supposed to be channeled at building more hospitals and employing more people or creating incentives for private hospitals to employ more doctors e.t.c.
The Ghanian doctor did not sneak into the country. He qualified and was employed based on your laws, now because you see him successful you want to chase him away. What about the British doctor working in a cape town hospital or Indian doctor in Durban? tWhat are your nurses doing in the Uk? Why are they not being chased away?
You keep saying we can't carry the whole continent. Have you people ever googled the stats on the number of refugees/asylum seekers that reside in other African countries. I get sick to my stomach with the lack of knowledge you people have.
Its propaganda. We have unemployed doctors, while doctors from the SADEC region are employed by the government.. my people have a right to demand to be put first.. you can't import what you have in abundance in your own country What part of this is propaganda Seppuku? Also, South Africa has the highest number of African immigrants on the continent and those are just the legal ones, so please, dont play this card on me, I dont have to Google anything here. we complain because the burden of these immigrants is felt by us.. not you ,you have no clue of the massive strain on resources that does to a country, the shacks have quadrupled because of the legal immigrants for example.. you're busy doing what you do best, gaslighting the real concerns and lived realities of South Africans.. we are carrying this continent, these are just facts |

Should we talk about how most bllack South Africans have the highest number of HIV compared to other Africans?
NIGERIA SAVED YOU, YOU WENT BACK STRAIGHT INTO IT BECAUSE YOU ARE INGRATES...YOU LOVE YOUR CHAINS.
Honestly, I enjoy giving you lectures about your country I await your next reply. Yet the same black South African trumps you in every positive metric , funny innit? Average Income - Black south african Standard of living " black South African Biggest black middle class in Africa = Black South African Highest number of USD black millionaires = black south african Literacy = Black South African Access to electricity = Black South African Access to infrastructure = Black South African Access to water/sanitation = Black South African Access to better Healthcare = Black South African GDP per capita (purchasing power) = Black South African HDI indices = Black South African Higher Life expectancy = Black South African The list goes on and on and on. You can call us "slaves" or "lazy" the reality on the ground says otherwise.. look at your nation, who's drowning in oceans seeking a better life elsewhere? Most definitely not us Also you can also throw these tired HIV insults all you like the reality of the matter is, as things stand, Nigeria has one of the lowest life expectancy figures in the world at just 54.years.. South Africans with all their HIV still outlive you on average, while your people are still dying of malnutrition and malaria . Lastly, you can't "lecture" anyone on a subject you know little of. |

I am not surprised, you guys have proven to be ingrates... Nigeria should have left you to continue living like second class citizens in your land, Oh sorry, it is no longer your land because the Whiites have bought all your farmland and made you work on them... TRUTH IS BITTER.
If typing "did Nigeria help South Africa during apartheid" in Google search bar is such a difficult thing for you, try typing it in Zulu if English Language is such a difficult language to understand in South Africa... Google also got Google translate..
I honestly understand how it feels like to be a sllave in your own country in this 21st century... You're now writing epistles full of insults and fake laughing because I called your lies out..? Here's the thing, truth doesnt care about your feelings.
