Hello Gurus,

Please my wife is due to give birth in the UK in a couple of weeks. As required, we need to get the baby's brp within the first 3 months of birth for IHS to continue to cover all hospital and treatment costs.
However, reading how long it takes to get the NIN and Passport for the newborn in the london embassy before applying for the visa isn't encouraging.

Please who is able to advise on how to go about with this?

Make an application via : https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/pbs-dependant-child
You can apply with birth certificate only, (choose no passport option during your application)

Good Morning House,

I’ll like to know how to go about newborns payment of IHS, It stated that babies can receive treatment up until 3 months, but baby passport will be needed for payment processing and you guys know how Naija passport issues can be.
Kindly help explain if you have gone through this before.

If you feel you can afford a phone contract, sometimes its better to walk into a shop and talk to the sales staff there instead of applying online and leaving your fate to the automated decision-making computer-says-no process.

Thanks. There is an option with vodafone to upgrade from sim only contract to phone after months with them.
This upgrade is showing on my dashboard, I had a chat with their online customer care and visited the physical shop, they both confirmed I can make the upgrade.

I am more concern on positive influence on my credit score, My question is: will upgrading to phone contract assist in building my credit score, or it makes no difference on credit score compared to sim only contract I am presently on?
Yes I need the phone but if the vodafone phone contract won't influence a significant increase, I will rather use my AMEX card.

Did the sim only contract help to get an improvement on your score?

I cant point to the improvement, but it is on my credit report as an account.
I got the contract in feb, the first time I checked my score was in April.

I want to know if upgrading to phone contract will have a positive impact on the long run, or the effect is same as Sim only

Greetings Fam,
I have had a Vodafone sim only contract for 5months, and recently got an option to upgrade to phone contract.
Will upgrading to phone contract assist in building my credit score, or it makes no difference on credit score compared to sim only contract I am presently on.
