Thanks. I had connected it to the internet and had it registered. I will send them a email to see if it can be bricked once it's connected online again. twosquare: Sorry about that! Sad, really. I don't know if anything can be done to that Ecoflow product if you have registered it for warranty. If you have connected it to the Internet before and used the Internet with it, maybe there can be a way for Ecoflow central headquaters to lock it or brick it in a way so that it can be useless to whomever want to use it.
I am thinking too much. |

About 3 weeks ago, thieves entered my apartment whilst l was at work and stole my Ecoflow D2, Tv and other items.
They even carried the Box for the D2 and solar connector.
Omo, l am still perplexed as l looked my door in the morning and meet my door locked when l returned from work.
And it's not like there was any forced entry. |

oladele239: The D2 is a heavy duty Anyone here who has it has got a gem on his / her hand I decided to do something weird today because I had accidentally done it before and I was marveled!
My iron ( 2400 watts ) was left in power accidently when I switched to D2. Lo and behold e no shake one bit !
Today I used it to iron my clothes conveniently without any issues atall. My gen go beg me o because that's like the only thing that would have made me be remembering the gen small small and now D2 don handle am wella !
Monitored it on the screen and I saw about 1800 watts recorded Yea, the D2 is a beast. Similar thing happened to me, forgot that my 1.5 inverter ac was on when l changed from Nepa to D2 The sound of the fan made me realize that a heavy load was on, after spending 5 minutes Best product that l have bought |

Thanks for the detailed analysis. I had been thinking about getting an ecoflow extra battery for the D2 or an external battery but this your write up has answered most of the questions l heard. Instead of an extra battery , l would rather upgrade to a D2 Max if l have enough funds. I also recommend replacing your high energy consuming appliances with energy efficient appliances. My fridge (Midea) uses 90watts and this pisses me off as l saw an LG top freezer that consuming 45watts Babatundehy: After analysing it, it is not much savings or any savings at all going this way, you'll need a lithium ion battery charger, the lipo4 battery itself, and maybe an inverter ( if you want your external battery to charge your power station very fast and experience nice pass through charging) Breakdown 1.12.8v 100ah lip04 battery from a reputable brand (my thoughts) is currently sold for not less than 350k 2. You'll need a charger to charge your external battery, if you will charge with NEPA, you already know you need a lithium ion AC to DC battery charger, about 45k or more 3. If you'll charge with solar panels, you already know you need additional solar panels installed just for this purpose and a DC to DC charger, you'll spend not less than 250k going this route. 4. Now if you have bought your external battery, but want to charge the external battery with AC and not solar panels, then you're back to generator or NEPA, this way you'll still need, battery charger and fuel your gen or buy more NEPA units 😞 5. If you have your external battery, want to charge the external battery itself fast, and also want to charge the power station very fast, then you'll need a pure sine wave inverter, one with a built in mppt charge controller is the best choice, you'll spend money on this pure sine wave inverter and also NEPA units or generator, this inverter will cost at least 200k if not more (1kva inverter), please remember that your power station will not charge on a modified sine wave inverter.
The idea is to not spend money on generator or NEPA, thus, the external battery thingy will only work great and save you money in the not so long run if you install more solar panels for its charging, and then get a small pure sine wave inverter connected to the battery to also charge up your power station very quickly. The story is getting long and complicated right? Whichever way one decides to go with the battery, money will still be spent, more than what Ecoflow's external battery costs. And with Ecoflow's external battery, you'll need either generator or NEPA to charge both batteries fully, your delta 2 with 500 watts max solar input will not do this for you, your jinko 550 watts solar panel will charge your battery in say three hours, that's if you'll wait staring at the ceiling during this time, you'll want to use the power station while it charges, this does prolong the solar charging time, and I'm talking the actual Power station's battery, what time does your panel have to charge the second battery fully when you don't even have 6hrs of very useful sunshine? You can't install more solar panels to solve this, Ecoflow's external battery can only be charged from the main unit, this means no solar port on your extra battery, and also charging with AC won't be faster because the second battery charges through the main battery and the total charge power input still remains 1500 watts, don't go thinking you can draw 3000 watts to turbo charge both batteries, not even if your house fuses can survive that. Bottom line is, there are pros and cons whichever way you try to go about extending runtime of your power station, I'll be going with the non ecoflow external battery and inverter way if I decide to extend the runtime of my river2pro, also, for reasons stated in the second paragraph, a second delta 2 is a smarter purchase than an Ecoflow delta 2 extra battery. |

Thanks, will try toggling the charging modes as suggested. But l do feel that the solar panels are not receiving the same amount of sunlight as they are not side by side. Because with 2 units of 300watts panels, l should be clocking max 500watts I will probably rearrange the panels and see the outcome So the 220w l receive might be just from one panel and Babatundehy: I doubt side by side placement has any effect, have you tried playing with the app, toggling the charging modes? 220 watts for a delta 2 is too poor. |

Good day, I have a Delta 2 with 2 units of 300W solar panels, however l get a maximum of 220watts. The solar panels are not side by side, one is on one side of the roof whilst the other one is on a different side. Do you think its better if l place them side by side? Babatundehy: Chai, even now? What about one HR ago? My electrician checked mine with a multimeter yesterday at about 1:30pm and we got 265 watts (a 300 watts panel), even now I am getting like the maximum solar input power the river 2 pro can handle. |

Thanks for the feedback Can l have a situation where l keep the old generator cable but run a cable just for the solar inverter, where the solar inverter only powers lights and selected sockets. olopan: OgakingGozilla rival
Get an original 13A plug
decommision your old generator cable if you have it
rewire the generator cable and switch the generator change over to the generator side.
you should have power.
if confused about this or running into a more complex situation, then you need a trained professsional. |
