@OP: It's the duty of the landlord to offset the debts incurred by his previous tenants.

Liaise with him on the best way to follow it.
One of the ways involves substracting the total expenses you incur in 1yr from the next annual rent.
It is not your responsibility to pay the debts and should never accept that.

Have a similar situation at hand, we discovered
that an old debt was pass on to the meter.

For the sake of our sanity and wellbeing, we just decided to recharging and PHCN are deducting thier dues.

The old debt is over 600k

When it's time to renew the rent, we will discuss this issue with the landlord

Spicy Mixed vegetables-chicken wanna-be bolognese sauce is one of my go-to sauces whenever the weather is cold. The heat from this sauce is capable of chasing cold away. This is how I prepare it, but first, the ingredients:
Carrots
Peas
Green Pepper
Pepper mix consisting of pepper, onion, ginger, garlic, spring onion, red bell pepper and a few balls of tomatoes
Seasoning
Chicken
Vegetable oil
I found a chunk of grilled fish and decided to add that to the party

Note that all ingredients a are to be washed and prepped accordingly.
Season your chicken and cook until tender. Fry afterwards (I didnt fry mine thoug). Heat some oil in a pan and pour in your pepper mix. Fry until its beginning to look fried. Afterwards you add all your chopped vegetables, except green pepper. Cook for three minutes and its ready, add your green pepper and turn off the heat immediately and your sauce is ready.

I have been disconnected by PHCN (even tho there is prepaid meter)in the apartment l rented last year because of an outstanding bill of over 500k.The caretaker seems not be serious at all in trying to solve this issue. The annoying part is l just renewed my rent last month

I rented an apartment last year, before l moved in l inquired about the light situation and l was informed and show the prepaid meter that was to serve me.

For the past year, l have not had any issues, the house is managed by a property management company and l have not hard an interactions with the landlord.

Last Month l received an outstanding bill from PHCN of over 500k, the guy said the bill was not cleared before the prepaid meter was installed. So the guy cut the light.

I informed the Caretaker of this, and they are saying the PHCN person that they paid the bill to and helped they secure the meter is no longer with PHCN.

So now the Landlord is refusing to pay the bill as he gave the caretaker money to settle the bill, the person that the money was paid to is no longer with Nepa.

The thing tire me. I have been without light going to a month, no water too.

Should l ask for a refund? Should l give them more time to try and resolve this ? I tire l need advice ooo

Any advice on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated
