NAUS OGUN CONVENTION: EXCOS LAUDS UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN THE GATEWAY STATE FOR THE MANDATE GIVEN TO SERVE, PROMISES TO PRIORITIZE STUDENTS’ SECURITY AND WELFARE.

At this auspicious time in history, it's pertinent that we fully recognise, appreciate and acknowledge all Senators, Delegates, Stakeholders, Leaders, Cadres and most importantly, the entirety of Nigerian University Students in Ogun State, for entrusting us with the mandate to serve them as the executives of Ogun Campus Monitoring Committee (CMC) under the aegis of National Association of University Students ( (NAUS) ably led by Comrade Lawal Abdul Wasiu (WASLAW).

Following the incontestable goodwill, support, love and mandate reposed in us at the Convention that held proper at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu Ode Campus, we want to unwaveringly affirm that the best interest of University Students in Ogun State shall be jealously guarded, promoted and preserved.
We shall faciliate an enabling environment that will promote academic excellence and fulfilment. Gen. Omar Bradley's words are in concordance with our belief when he said that "The greatness of a leader is measured by the achievements of the led. This is the ultimate test of his effectiveness."
Indeed, we rise by lifting others.

Comrade Lawal Abdul Wasiu (WASLAW) led administration shall also ensure that
NAUS Ogun works assidously with other sister Students' Associations in the state and all necessary stakeholders in the education sector to ensure that University Students have access to affordable and quality education.
Indeed, the educational sector and our educational system must be recalibrated, realigned and repositioned to its deserved prominent position. This is pertinent for our present and future. Education is important to our collective wellbeing. Just as Aristotle echoed, "The educated differ from the uneducated as much as the living differ from the dead".

We want to emphasise that University students across the state should anticipate a regime that will optimally defend their interest and ensure that University students enjoy all-round welfarism across their various campuses.
We want to assert our readiness to tackle insecurity on campuses headlong, and further confirmed that this new leadership will run an open-door policy that will always be ready to intervene in all issues of interest across University campuses in the state.

We want to conclude by extending a hand of fellowship to all and sundry on this mission. Even as all the newly elected NAUS Ogun CMC understand that this is aclarion call to duty by Nigerian students, we implore every University students to synergize with us so as to achieve the seemingly unachievable during this administration. Because "great things happen nationally when topmost leadership is goaded and supported from below." - John W. Gardner

The 2022_2 POP examination of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) started today, 25th of October, 2022. Comrade Abdulyekinn Uthman wish all students success in there examination.

He said, Success they say: smiles at a man who refuses to lay down on the curridor of a failure. I pray may God crown all your efforts and may you all succeed excellently in your exams.

Please note that, there's no pressure whatsoever regarding to those who have not sign and stamp their examination clearance as you will all be attended to before the starting of the exams. Also, let each and everyone embrace being upright and never involve in examination malpractices. Once again, He wish every students success.

He said, As far as Nigeria is concerned, hundreds of thousand of people dream of admission every year, many try but only a few achieve their dreams. You are one of those few! You are an achiever. Your discipline, focus, hard work, sacrifices and prayers have earned you this resounding success. I heartily congratulate everyone of you on this special achievement and to encourage you to never let the spirit fade away.

Matriculation is a welcome ceremony into the tertiary education journey. So remember to keep up the good work, bearing in mind that the sky is not the limit to your achievements.

As fresh students, it is expected that you will abide by all rules and regulations of this institution and participate in all activities of the University. You must be fully committed to your studies and justify your selection out of the thousands who wanted to come and study in this noble institution. Maintain the same attitude of hard work, reading, faith in God, courage and confidence as you face the challenges of campus life. May God bless you with more success.

Comrd Abdulyekinn Uthman Odunayo (National President of Noun Students’ Congress) facilitates with members of the Sheriff Guards of Nigeria on her 45th years anniversary.

He stated that youths development has always been at the heart of the paramilitary Body that has guided its programmes and decisions.

He explained that so far, the paramilitary body had contributed to supporting youths in area of employment and education, and intends to expand its quota and areas of interventions.

He said, “Through series of leadership training, men and officers of the command has assisted youths to secure jobs in military outfit like the Army, civil defence and, amongst others.

Also in the area of security the outfit had been relevant in tackling insecurity, maintaining orderliness and enforcement of sanitation, amongst others, adding that it will continue to do more in the interest of the General Public without fear or favour.

Abdulyekinn Uthman Odunayo craved government support for the outfit especially by way of sponsoring members for advanced training, empowering and absorbing members into key positions in the state.

It is an honor for me to write on behalf of the entire students of National Open University of Nigeria to the school management to express my gratitude for their outstanding efforts in enhancing the school portal to meet the requirements and desires of the students.
As NOUN students President, I would like to extend the students' sincere gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and the entire management for taking their complaints seriously and trying to make the National Open University of Nigeria's online learning environment better.

TMA has not started, check your portal for your NOUN email. Then open gmail and login with the email address provide to you by NOUN as your username then your matric number as password. After you’re successfully logged in Change your password immediately.
