In the solution they got -16. I understood how they got it but do you guys think it's the right way to solve it?
If i'm to choose, i will go with (e)

-16 is the right answer. Multiply both side by -2 and you have -6x + 4y=-16 or rearranging you have 4y -6x=-16.

. I am surprise we are having issues regarding question 1. Many of us don't understand what is markup: we re required to find the unit selling price to make a profit margin of 20% on the 6kg, the answer is 20%. Total cost price is 6x5 equals 30, at a profit of 20%, selling price is 30x 1.2=36. Hence unit selling price is 36/6=6 therefore margin is (6-5)/5 *100=20%.The fact is you don't need to calculate that the percentage on total selling price and unit price will be the same, the same factor applies.

Looking at question 2. No answer satisfy both premise: 8a = 9b, and ab = 0. I can solve the question using only the first premise and the answer is 9/8 but this will not satisfy the second premise. To satisfy the second premise, either a or b must be zero then a/b must be zero or undefined.

Based on what I spend monthly on data, calls and texting, I will gladly take the option of paying a fixed charge of 8k per month.

Thanks. I did as u said. Deleted channels under eutelsat 36A and blind scan. All channels seems to have signal quality now but they are displayed under different satellites I have scanned in the past e.g Nilesat but not under eutelsat 36A.

hugman: Buy a new diseqc will solve ur problem

. There is no Diseqc with the current installation (I reverted back to my original set up), or do you think the lnb is damaged?

1. When tracking dstv make sure you screw the nut at the highest signal quality level
2. Diseqc malfunction cause by multiple dish istallation
3. Blind the decoder
4 . When tracking don't use diseqc , it give wrong signal n delay

Morning people, those of us on 45 who still have issues catching CNN or SS channels... Pls o advice badly needed... Just followed adanny's instructions on changing transponder but the quality is not there though the signal is there. In fact I can't see 12207. I even tried adding it but no quality, just signal.

And it's a fairly new LNB

I am having the same issues, some of the channels (BBC, Mnet Premium, Discovery and many others) are indicating bad signal, signal quality is zero. How do i solve this?

DMerciful: Did u split the satellite signal to two decoders? If yes,put off the other decoder.

I did not split into two decoders, although it seems the problem started when I attempt to connect a neighbour's 1.8m dish to scan for fta, I return to the usual connection but the problem persist.

I have a peculiar problem with signal quality, I hope I will get help. For some channels, i am having signal quality as zero but the signal strength is ok at 94%. At the same time some channels have good signal quality and strength. My code is 40. Any assistance to fix this is appreciated.
