Abeg apart from TSTV which dead which other satellite pay TV dey reliable that shows good contents for kids just like TSTV did like A1 and BJ kids

I am not really a football watcher, so premier league or champions league is not my priority at the moment.....

I just need a Pay-TV that is reliable, Please don't mention Gotv or DSTV

I may consider SLTV but i just want to know other satellite TV services that is almost like TSTV

Still on the different note... cheesy...what is the monthly sub amount? And can it be installed in-doors?

32k per month for old users.... The sub will be increased to 38k by december....

It cant be installed indoors.... neither near any obstructions like tall buildings or tress..... It is perfect to install in at the top of the roof with no obstructions for better internet speed

Well as suggested by someone here, a 3kva to 5kva will do, either 24v or 48v but will advise you get 48v should incase you may decide to expand later. I have been using Felicity brand. Also, on the issue of battery, it is highly recommend that you buy lithium batteries if you can. A 5kw will do for now and can be easily expanded later.

On a different note, pls how efficient is your starlink? What are the pros and cons?

Thanks for your input, I will go for a 24v Inverter though and Tall Tubular Batteries for now...... Na when person don build house finish i fit talk about expanding or upgrading to a new setup system.

The Starlink is very good and Ultra-fast!! I've even dismantled my DSTV dish cos i'm using IPTV and doesn't buffer a milli second... maybe except on a rainy or stormy day which doesn't last than 5 minutes

The cons:

*Monthly Sub is expensive especially when you do not stay at home all day (Though we split payment between my neighbor who uses the internet too)
* Requires steady power supply for it to work unlike our rechargeable Mifi hence more reason I wanna get a power backup plan

Your questions plenty ooo, The response is more like summarising a book on solar system.

If you have money go for Victron or Deye else just get a common one for your budget. MUST is ok
Number of batteries and run time depends on load. Monocrystalline is a type not a brand.
There are inverters with batteryless function which can work without batteries.

Just State your loads and budget for the system so You can get a reasonable quote.

Thanks for your input, I have a washing machine, 1.5 HP Inverter air conditioning unit, Deep Freezer (I think is about 200+ liters) A small LG fridge, 65'' Inch LED TV

But out of the aforementioned appliances, I tend to do power management when the inverter is in used and also depends the last time NEPA light or generator was used to power the chest freezer..

The Chest Freezer will mostly be used on the inverter at least 3-4 hours daily depending on the cold state of the freezer...

TV is definitely gonna be in used with my starlink Internet at night.... Other items will be off... I don't even intend using my air-conditioning unit or Washing machine with the inverter, My generator or NEPA light will power these items when needed and i have a solar rechargeable fans for ventilation.

My budget for this system setup is tied to the quality of the tall tubular battery to be used, Inverter system and panel.... this can help me tailor my budget, hence the reason i needed some answers and recommendation to my questions to help me plan towards it

3.5kva is good. You can go for an Hybrid system, it's efficient. 3kva/24v or 5kva/48v all Hybrid inverter will serve you a long time. Batteries are the most important part of the system, so don't cheapen out on it. If you have extra money go for lithium, but if you don't quality wet Tall Tubular batteries will serve you a long time.

1) 3kva/24v with 5kwh batteries, 1500w of solar panels
2) 5kva/48v with 10kwh batteries 2500w of solar panels
Any of the 2 options will do.
I have used felicity hybrid, and is good. There are other brands equally good or more reliable as well. Your pocket determines your choice
We have installers on this platform, you can check out there reputation/reliability here. They can easily get the job done for you. And lastly, enjoy the free goodies from the big boss Sun

Thanks for your input... I really appreciate

Nothing funny about your question. It is not only valid but also achievable.

There are inverters that prioritize solar usage when there is sun, the extra power is then used to charge the batteries.

I am not sure that bros understood your question properly.

Thanks bro, Is it this inverter you mean called Grid -tie Inverter?

Dear fellow solar enthusiast and Engineers in the house……..

We all know the economy is biting harder every day and buying fuel every day to run the house while currently embarking on a house building project is really eating a big chunk on my daily expenses and I would like to take away this burden permanently by installing a solar system.

Firstly, Since I’m really new to this kind of setup… I would like to ask a lot but few questions so that I can choose or make the best decision when getting the system installed in my house. I have already settled for a 3.5KVA Inverter solar system, because I need it to power my chest freezer at home (Since this is the most important thing at home for food storage) NEPA light is non-existent in my area

1. Which inverter brand is the best based on your experience or customer reviews, I have heard about transformer based and those with microprocessors, which one is better and can withstand the test of time (I know nothing lasts forever) but I should get value for my money

2. For a 3.5KVA system, How many batteries and solar panels is needed for this kind of setup to power a chest freezer for at least 4-5 hours daily

3. What is the difference between the 12V, 24V and 48V type of inverter system? Which one of this is more efficient?

4. What’s the best and efficient battery for a good solar system setup, I understand Lithium battery is good, but right now it is expensive for my budget (Cos I’m currently embarking on a project that requires more funds) Tall Tubular Battery? Gel-battery or Lead acid battery?

5. Which brand of solar panels is better? I’ve read online that Monocrystalline Panels are the best, but which of this MC panel brands in Nigeria are of good quality?

6. Is it a requirement to buy lot of panels with low wattage when I can get a higher wattage panels with less quantity to install on the roof?

7. Why do we settle for inverters with external charge controller rather than an inbuilt charger or recommend a good hybrid inverter brand with at least 100A MPTT Charge controller

8. Lastly, is there a type of inverter that can use energy generated directly from the solar panels during the day for powering of appliances while charging the battery for night use without been in use during the day time? If yes what are the setup required for this kind of system?

I know most of these questions might have been answered in previous pages, but I will be grateful if you guys can be of help to a newbie trying to get some information on solar systems

Good day ladies and gents...

I am about to embark on a new project in Uyo.... its a 1250sqm Land already fenced and gated

I am a first time builder and i've already contracted an Architect for the building plan (Though he's a friend) I never wanted to involve friend or anyone i know in this project but due to persuasion and other factors, I've decided to give him a chance to prove his worth (Though he has handled lot of mega projects) I'm just doubtful since we are closer and may take me for ride.

Not withstanding, the crux of the matter here is I would like to know the things that will be required for the projects (He has given me his list) but I would like to get more information to make this project go on smoothly.

I am planning to build a 4 bedroom bungalow with a study and a spare room for Laundry/Inverter Room

Blocks will be molded on site, The Land is a dry land and the road does not flood .... I want to build in a small portion of the land and the rest will be for future usage....

How many trips of Sharp sand will be needed for this project?
How many tonnes of granite is needed (And what type) He quoted for 40 tonnes for the project to go far
How many bags of cement would be required to mold the required blocks for the project?
What type of rods needed here?

I am inquiring about this because i am not always around due to my project i am handling in Warri at the moment

Dear gents

I want to get a good generator for my wife's shop, What she sells are just sewing supplies, But there's Industrial weaving machine (1pc), Stoning machine (This machine is really heavy on generator), Industrial sewing machine (1pc) and i'm planning on buying button tacking machine too

Note: This machines are not operated everyday except for the weaving machines because she's not into full time sewing again.... But i need a generator that will carry that stoning machine comfortably without issues.

Budget is not an issue........

Control that which you can control. You really are not helpless.

Only use low energy 5watt or not more than 10 watt bulbs.

When you buy fridges and /or freezer check for low energy usage or those with inverter. Same for AC. Be intentional about everything you do and you will see that things are manageable.

There is a lot of wastage in the use of electricity.

How do you control things that's not available? You will be sitting in your house typing nonsense... Which wastage are you even talking about? Electrical energy? You must be nuts
