Family › Re: “My Money Is My Money, His Money Is For All Of Us” – Woman Sparks Debate by kinglee007(m): 5:01am On Jun 02

Axis313:
She is 100% correct,in Islam,it is the husband's duty to provide for the household.
No matter how rich the wife is, it is not compulsory for her to provide but she can support the household.

Al rijal qawwamun ala nisa" (الرِّجَالُ قَوَّٰمُونَ عَلَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ) is a well-known phrase from the 34th verse of Surah An-Nisa in the Quran (4:34). It translates to: "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women".The verse outlines the foundational roles and responsibilities within a marriage in Islam.
Its core concepts are:
Maintenance and Protection: The verse states that men are designated as caretakers because God has given them strengths to excel over others, and because they are required to spend their wealth to provide for and protect their families.

Reciprocal Rights: Scholars emphasize that this role implies heavy responsibilities rather than absolute authority. Men are required to ensure the financial security, physical safety, and overall well-being of their families.

Two questions:
1. You quoted about the man being the protector and provider of the family. Where is the quote that jsutifies what the woman says about her money being her money?
2. If I am not mistaken, in the video she said that "her parents" provided for her. Not her Father alone. How does that justify what she is saying?

I need your sincere answers. Please, this is not a debate, we are both learning.

Education › Call For Nigerian Students Abroad: Partial Education Support Opportunity by kinglee007(op): 4:30pm On Dec 27, 2025

Hi everyone, my name is Kingsley. I’m currently working with a China-based NGO here in China that is setting up an education assistance fund as part of its social responsibility work. The aim is simple: to support Nigerian students abroad who are already enrolled in universities but are facing financial constraints.
The NGO believes strongly in investing in education and giving back, especially in the context of long-standing China–Africa cooperation. As a starting point, they are looking to identify serious, hardworking Nigerian students who need partial financial support to continue their studies.
Who this is for;
1. Nigerian students currently studying abroad
2. Students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds
3. Students who are committed, ambitious, and actively enrolled in an institution
Priority will be given to;
1. Students studying in North America, Europe, or Oceania (US, UK, Canada, EU countries, Australia, etc.)
2. Master’s students and graduates who have remained abroad for work
Bachelor’s students will also be considered, but as a secondary priority

Interested students should be able to provide the following:
>Full name
>Gender
>Age
>University currently attending
>Country of study
>Course/Major
>Current level or year of study
>A brief explanation of their financial situation and motivation
NOTE: This is not a full scholarship, but a partial support initiative. The company will review submissions and conduct its own screening before selecting beneficiaries.
If you meet the criteria or know someone who does, please respond or reach out with the required details to info@deeveetech.net. Please also note that there is no upfront payment involved in this. If anyone asks you for an upfront fee, know that it's definitely not from me or the company.

If interested, please send the required details to info@deeveetech.net with your possible contact with which you would like to be contacted by the company for screening.
