Bigbayour:Boss kindly look at my post via this link about a business idea i have. I would love to meet you in person or chat via social media handle so that i could break it down for you. Your investment, your terms. https://www.nairaland.com/6940883/tech-business-idea-transport-entertainment |
That will be nice. |
Hey guys, i've got two business proposals for the hospitality sector (Restaurants and Eateries) and the Transport sector mixed with Entertainment (together as one). Both business proposals for the Hospitality and Transport sectors backbone rests solely on Technology. It can't work without it. And funny enough this business proposal for the Hospitality sector has been on for over a decade in existence but yet to have it's firm ground in Nigeria. And guess what, there is need for it. What I'm proposing is for an investor (be it Angel or firm) to look into it and we talk business from there. Clue: Service in Restaurants and Eateries. The business proposal for the transport sector on the other hand is one that will make travelling more fun and entertaining. It's a gap that need s to be filled for both the entertainment and transport industry. With the help and support of media content companies, the project is going change the phase of the transport business as well as expand the business further to other sectors. It's a game changer. And most of all, both the investor(s) and users will both have good value for their money. Clue: Entertainment on the go. Please kindly reach out to me via 08062358903 (no WhatsApp) or via info.deeveetech@gmail.com and let's do business. Note: I agree on your terms, just allow me handle the operations to ensure it runs smooth. Thanks |

Common guys, who's up for a challenge?
|
Hmmm. Where does one start now? Well, my case is not too different from many. I was working in an aviation Company some years ago and I got promoted from working at the tarmac to being an Admin in one of the offices. Barely six months into the office, I was diagnosed with Kidney infection. Like play like play, it started becoming severe and I was advised to resign based on health reasons. I did, and guess what, just three weeks after I resigned, I became fine. Went back to the hospital and was told that all was well with me. So, the hunt for another job started and with the little money I got from work after I resigned, I had planned to use it to pay for rent (cos it was due), pay my children's school fees (for two terms) and also give my wife some for he catering business. Unfortunately, my then landlord increased the rent with 50% increment and the notice he gave was way below short for me to rally round for money. I just resigned. I and my wife talked about it and we decided to talk to my parents about the present predicament we are facing. I begged them to allow I and my family stay with them until I get myself a better job and we leave. They agreed with after much begging. So we moved to my parents place, sold some of our belongings that we didn't need to carry to their place. Used the money to add up to the one we had before which we had planned to use initially. I gave my wife some money to buy a bag of rice and provisions to support the house (because my late younger sisters daughter was staying with my parents and also my other sister and her two kids plus my three kids making a total of six children, and five adults in the house). Also gave my wife some money to start up her catering business of which she did and it did a lot in supporting the house as well. I paid my children school fees and put them in a school nearby, paid for Utilities in the house and eventually was left with nothing. When my parents go to know that "money don finish for my hand", I became a laughing stock. I understood their grievances and all. I am a grown man with his family now depending on them for survival. The only saving grace I had was that my wife was getting orders by the minute from her catering business and this was helping to cover my shame. But, I didn't want this to continue for too long because I hate being a liability to people. The humiliations got much as the days passed. If I cough, my mum will take the phone and call my younger brothers that I have coughed o! They were the ones that my parents were now relying on for stipends. That being said, I continued and told my wife that from the little proceeds she gets, let her take some out of it and load up their phones every month for them of which she did. Whatever she will give me, I will still use it to buy the little I can for the house but, this was not even close to pleasing my parents. My younger brothers even stopped calling me as they used to and would only converse with my mum and my sister. My wife doesn't hear Ibo very well so she hardly hears the derogative words my dad would use on me. Sometimes, he would call my nephew and nieces to his room and if my kids enter, he would drive them away and tell them "go and meet your father and mother". I thought my kids how to bear pain and forgive easily so most times, they just laugh and ignore what their grand dad is doing and continue their way of life as kids that they are. I should have ignored this attitude portrayed by my dad but what made me react was when my nephew and his sister would tell my kids (their cousins) that they are visitors and would go away someday, and that they are not brothers or sisters. This statements would bring sadness and sometimes tears to my kids and when I confront the little boy, he would tell me, "that's what Grandpa sad". That was when I confronted my Dad and asked him what I, my wife or my kids had done to him. My people, there was no curse on earth that my Dad did not pour on me. I was baffled and started renouncing and rejecting any curse he laid. After all, Proverbs 26:6 says,"As the bird by wandering, as the Swallow by flying; so the Curse causeless shall not come". After all the shout that night, I went to apologize (which is the right thing to do even if you're right). As God would have it, I got a Job to work in a Hotel in one of the States as one of the Heads of Department with good pay. I was so much filled with joy but little did I know.... Well, barely two weeks I started working there, the owner of the hotel ( a top shot in the state) disgraced some of our staff and the disgrace was so bad that it went viral. Most of the other staffs ran away but innocent me and some others waited and hoped that since it was almost few days to the end of the month, I go collect small thing from the salary (even if na half sef), send to my family and discharge then seek for another job there in that state. On the 25th of September to be precise, some set of police squad stormed the hotel and asked for the chairman of the hotel (like as if they didn't know where he was). I said I didn't know and so did some other staffs. The next thing you know we were arrested and taking to the state CID and from there, taking to court and remanded to prison for something we had no idea about. See as frustration make me come find job for another state come enter wahala wey no concern me. I was later released after much effort made by my wife. She left her business in Lag and came down to ensure that I got out and proved my innocence. After getting out, my lawyer advised that I leave the scene and probably go to another state and stay. After much dialogue with my wife and my in-laws (it was their place I put up before and after the prison incident), regrettably, we had to go back to Lagos, the family house again. Thanks to God, with the support from family and friends, I had enough money on me that could sustain us at least until something comes up again. I tried as much as I can to be prudent but, seeing the state of things at home, I always supported. I guess that is my weakness. There are some friends which I will run to for help but will see me as a liability and block me on all social media platforms and mobile contacts. Summary of the story, lack of money makes you miserable in the eyes of those you least expected. |
samfelly:(Patting the back) Good boy. Good boy |
infofirst:@infofirst, all i can tell you is, you're mature upstairs. Loved the way you handled it. Though i had to air my mind to get your attention (it worked), but you practiced a sense of calmness in your response. It's something "some people that won't mind their business" don't have. Thanks all the same. Cheers mate. |
ItzProspero:Dude, it's not a feeling of entitlement, it's "My Opinion" and "A Suggestion". I'm sure you should know there's a difference. One Love too |
infofirst:Someone has answered the question already. Thanks for trying though. |
samfelly:You are explaining how to me how to use the "Search" option on Nairaland? You funny die. You had better check when you opened your account and compare it to mine. Some people sef. |
haryodehjia:Life could be more simpler if some people could answer questions as straight forward as this. Thanks bro, i really appreciate. God bless you. |
haryodehjia:Can I still partake in the competition? I would love to. |
infofirst:Boss, even after this apology you still didn't answer the question |
Zubbyy:No i haven't and don't have anyone to help at the moment. Have you gotten answers to my inquiry? |
Opportunity comes but once |
infofirst:Boss, i sent you a message asking about the competition, you've made more than 5 posts ever since i asked the question. I know you might be busy and all but some of us use this FOREX trading as a side hustle and may never have the time to always read pages far back. So whenever we stumble on something that our interests fall into, we find the closest link to that thing and try to inquire more. That is what I did exactly and lo and behold, we are ignored like we don't exist. It's well, i guess not helping others understand what they don't know brings out the best in some people. Had to air my piece of mind rather than bottling it inside. |
No matter what you are going through, GOD is still the final say to the problem or challenges you're facing. "IDENTIFY" (serious emphasis) what the problem is and "SPECIFICALLY" table it to GOD in prayers. Faith works wonders, this i have seen. Start there first. Also, always know that YOU ARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE. Last Last, you will be fine. GOD NO GO SHANE US!!! |
Well, truth be told, i didn't see that video too o! Maybe there is, but i didn't see it sha!! |
infofirst:Boss how does one participate? I'm down with the rules |
As expected. You no fit kill some people pikin go scot-free, No matter how much you get. Last Last, many parents go carry their children commot for that school. |
