"Amanda?" She asked, she actually remembers her, she was jealous when the first met and Amanda was Mr Uba date, she asked later and found oyput nothing was between them, they just sort of work together
"Yes" she said with a kind smile that hid her serpent heart so well "am surprise you recognized me" she said and Mirabel gave a giggle
"You are a pretty lady so it kind of hard to forget someone like you" she said, though Amanda is pretty but that's not the reason she remembered her
"Can I come in" she asked and Mirabel let her in, she wondered why she is here, maybe, Mr Uba sent her here for something
"Nice home you have here" she said looking around

"Am alone at home" she answered then immediately had this gut feeling that she shouldn't have answered that "so to what do I owe this visit" she asked not bothering to offer her something
"I came to give you this" she said dipping hand into her bag and brought out gun. Mirabel gasped. She tried speaking but no words came out.
"So are you ready to take the bullet from it" she said walking towards Mirabel as she stumble back "you think you can walk in and take my man away" she raised her voice but not enough to reach outside.
"Please let's talk things out" she finally said trying to reason with her, but Amanda already have her mind set up "if you shoot me, it will draw attention, and I know someone must have seen you entered" she said, but Amanda laughed
"It won't be that loud cause am going to absorb the sound with this pillow" she said pointing at the pillow "and am careful nobody saw me walk in" she said, and Mirabel knows she have lost and no way to defend herself against the bullet,
"Go sit there" Amanda said point at the chair, she obey, making them both change position, Amanda is now backing the door, Mirabel closed her eyes waiting for the death thinking only of Mr Uba and how she is leaving him like his first wife.

"Get over here" Iyke dragged her close, she tried resisting but he was way stronger than him, he tore her blouse exposing her black bra, the curves made iyke more determined, as he went for the bra he received a slap from Mirabel, it was hard but it did very little to him
"You think that is enough" he said with a smug look, Mirabel tried one more time to crawl away from his hold but he won't let her "stop struggling, nobody will help you, and mind you the more you resist the more you attract me" he said dragging her close and knet between her legs.
She tried resisting he gave her another punch, she started gasping for air, The r body can't take one more hit "that's right, keep calm as I ravish you" he said unzipping his trouser. He was still at it when they heard the knock on the door, iyke snapped his neck to the direction and wondered who it could be.
At this moment, Mirabel found new hope and strength, with Iyke's guard down she screamed on top her lungs
"HELP!" Iyke clasped her mouth that instance but its too late for the knock got louder, Iyke started thinking what to do and how to escape this situation, after a few more knock it stops,
"It looks like the person gave up" he said to Mirabel, and her widens in fear.

"Good day ma, good day sir" she greeted, she tried to curtsey but her leg won't let her, she the gave a little bow
"Good day my daughter, we have heard a lot about you" the woman said, it made Mirabel relieved small for her kind words, she the smiled but the man have not said a thing.
"Sit down" she gestured her and she did, Amara have already jumped on her grand father, it was a warm sight
"You are welcome my daughter" he finally spoke and mirabel straightened and gave him a nod since she lost her voice, there was this authority in his voice that shows he have the last say
"Mom dad how have you been" Mr Uba asked as he enters, he have his mothers looks but his fathers eyes
"We have been fine" the mother answered the turn to Mirabel "what can I get you" she asked but before she could answer "never kind, I already cooked a really very sweet bitter leaf soup, come let's all eat together" she said and motioned everyone to the dinning table.
"Come sit beside me" Amara said to her, Mr Uba have a feeling that Mirabel will have to share her time with Amara and him when the times comes.
The eating was fun, the family don't uphold any table manner, the kept laughing and talking, even Mirabel joined in the discussion her previous fear gone she enjoyed herself and the company she have. She is happy to be here happy at the direction her life is heading, she have her father back and love of her life, everything seems right, little did she know about the evil lurking behind.

He could see the bandage on her head, her leg was tied hanging with bandages, she have some visible bruise but she is breathing, he now sat beside her
"Hello stranger" he said "you gave me quite a scare" he chuckled "Amara will give you an ear full, I also think she will stop eating short bread for now, at least she can't resist the temptation" he smiled and touched her hands
"They say who you think of before sleeping and after waking up, is either the source of your joy or pain, you are my joy Mirabel" he said with a deep breath, he then noticed the parents come in
"Its getting late son, you should be going" her father said, he smiled as he heard the word son
"I actually want to stay the night with her" he said, he never stayed with someone in the hospital since his wife died, but with Mirabel he don't care, it will be worst if he doesn't stay.
Mrs Ugwu, noticing they can't argue with him urge her husband to leave him with her and they will come back tomorrow to clean her up and stuff
"I hope she is in good hands" he asked
"Certainly" he answered and the two couples left leaving him alone with Mirabel.
"Even with all this bruises you area still a darling" he said, yes the bruise did very little to mask her beauty. He stayed the night and occasionally check on her to know when she wake up, it was nearing dawn when he fell asleep.
Not long he slept off Mirabel woke up, she was in pain but endurable, she felt the hands holding her and instantly she knew who it belongs to, it helps sooth her pains away, she turn to see him, trying to get comfortable in the hospital seat

"You ar awake" he said "let me call the doctor"
"Not yet, let me be the patient with her lover alone, just a little longer"she said smiling and he returned the smile

Mirabel came home early to prepare for school, Mr Uba dropped her off, she saw her father knowing they have a lot to talk about but little time she told him she will see him when she comes back, she wondered if her father slept over.
Even after her whole rush she came late to school, thankfully she was let off easily, seeing Amara made her remember what she did last night, she hope she won't be angry knowing she now date her father. Her teaching went quiet well today, Amara still a good girl to her and they are both bonding, other teachers noticed the bond but didn't talk much on it.
Mr Uba at work place can't seem to get her off his system, she really fulfill his fantasy he is really lucky
"Mr Uba" Amanda called him, he turned to look at her, really not interested in any of her conversation
"Yes" he answered in a business tone
"Have you thought about what I said" she asked, Mr Uba can play denial but knowing that will prolong the conversation he decided to be blunt
"There is nothing to think about" he answered and went back to his work, he will soon leave to one his site.
"Don't underestimate a woman when she desire something" she said in a low threatening tone, he gave a glance and packed up his file leaving her alone in the office, they have different office but she always walk into his, and its annoying.
