The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a Nigerian man identified as Richard Mbudu Cyril, for manufacturing a synthetic drug, Methylsulfonylmethane (MDMA) crystal in his rented house using a pressure cooker.

A police team headed by Soladevanahalli police inspector R Virupakshaswamy raided the suspect's house in Tarabanahalli village on Hesaraghatta Road, North Bengaluru on Monday, January 10, based on a tip-off.

Police seized 930 grams of methylsulfonylmethane, 580 grams of sodium hydroxide crystal, five litres of acid, an altered 10 litre pressure cooker, a pipe, a digital weighing machine, two mobiles and a scooter, together worth Rs 50 lakhs.

As per police reports, Cyrill came to India in 2019 with his elder brother on a business visa. They lived in a rented house in Ramamurthy Nagar, East Bengaluru, for six months before moving to Tarabanahalli two months ago.

According to the police, Cyrill’s elder brother is the main accused and is absconding.

Police said that having learnt how to make MDMA on the internet, Cyrill and his elder brother made MDMA crystal using MDMA, sodium hydroxide and acid, and peddled it to traders and customers.

They procured a 10-litre pressure cooker, altered it by fixing an iron pipe to make the drug. The brothers brought raw materials like MDMA, sodium hydroxide and acid from Mumbai, and boiled them in the cooker. They collected the evaporated substance ...

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) against Cyrill and his brother at Soladevanahalli police station.

Efforts are on to nab the elder brother.

Let me tell you they are both (bride & groom) from Akwa Ibom. The bride is Ibibio while the groom is from Okobo a part of Oron. They did both traditions that's Y they are dressed to represent both cultures.
Oron in Akwa Ibom share cultures and are related to Efik, even Uruans a part of Ibibio have some relationship with Efik.
Those 2groups in Akwa Ibom State have never denied their relationship with Efiks in Calabar and vice versa. So this man in this picture could be from any of those groups in Akwa Ibom State.

The age of Asiwaju Tinubu is in public domain and Asiwaju Tinubu has already addressed the unnecessary politicization of his right to procure services to get a secured cash to his house as a private citizen. He should be asking questions on emerging and serious issues that help us know how prepared Asiwaju' s team is for the job. I know a few of such questions but won't state them here but asking a campaign manager for the age of his principal for such important interview is useless and unproductive use of time. Hence, he was ignored on that question.

The civil war truncated that momentum and the East never recovered after that.

*So plantations (cashew nuts, palm kernel, cocoa, coffee, timber etc) sprang up in Oghe (Enugu State), Okigwe (Abia State), Obudu, Itumbenuzor, Akamkpa all in Cross River state and in various parts of Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Abia etc.*

*Okpara personally delivered some of the seedlings himself by driving behind the trucks that did the delivery.*

*Sir Louis Phillip Odumegwu Ojukwu pushed for the establishment of 3 major cement plants in the region - Nkalagu, Eastern Bulkcem in PH and Calabar cement factory in Calabar.*

*Nkalagu and PH opened before the war started in 1967. Everything for the take off of the Calabar cement factory was purchased but the war truncated its take off.*

*In 1970, Governor Esuene of the newly-created Cross River State opened Calcemco plant to the appause of many.*

*Three industrial corridors were planned also planned for the East*

*The Emene-Nkalagu Industrial corridor which was to focus on automobiles, building materials and industrial automation. Kaiser Motors in the US at the time (it has since been acquired) had agreed to build a car plant in Emene and a plant for car engines. That corridor was to stretch for almost 100 miles*

*The second industrial corridor was to stretch between PH and Aba. So industrial centers were set up in Trans Amadi and in Aba and over a ten to 15 year period, these two centers were to be linked by many feeder industries that would be located on the highway joining both cities.*

*Okpara had hoped that over time, the PH-Aba industrial corridor would follow the old road between Port Harcourt and Enugu and join with the Emene - Nkalagu industrial corridor to create a massive industrial cornubation that almost imitates the almost 200 kilometer Ruhr Industrial Valley in Germany built under Chancellor Otto Von Bismarck*

*Onitsha was to drive the East's Retail economy and so the market was built there as an Emporium...to attract buyers from all over Nigeria and West and Central Africa so they could come spend their money in the East.*

*Dubai would copy this same model 50 years later and implement it successfully but on a global scale. Onitsha market achieved its purpose by 1958, two years after the East achieved self government. It became the preferred destination for retail and bulk shoppers from a over West Africa and even Cameroon, Gabon and Congo. This gave the Anambra Igbo a head start in retail trading...an advantage that they enjoy till date.*

*All of these development and growth projects were centrally driven by the Eastern Nigeria Development Corporation - ENDC and the revenues were centrally aggregated into the account of the Eastern Nigerian Commodities Board (ENCB). Both groups were headed by Sir Louis Phillip Odumegwu Ojukwu*

*Funds for development came mostly from 3 sources.*

*Lastly, oil was discovered late. Chief Nwodo, Eastern Nigeria's first Minister for Trade (father to the past Ohaneze Chairman) negotiated the first contracts with Shell on a 50-50 investment and sharing basis.*

I will try to explain in case you truly care to learn. I'm Ibibio as U already know, my relatives & majority of ibibios only a bit of Annang, most don't. More understand Efik more as Efik was the official language used in the old Cross River State that included Akwa Ibom State. But even those ibibios & Annangs who understand Efik may not be able to speak fluently, except they grew up in Calabar.
That's Y I stated that I have lived in Calabar and Abak, so that helped me to understand & speak Annang and Efik more than an average Ibibio person.
Annang has 3-4 dialect that's unintelligible to others who aren't Annang. E.g. Ikot Ekpene dialect stresses the P, ukanafun dialect L& some R, there are others that stress R..
Ibibio also has several dialects, including dialect that's unintelligible to others e.g. Itumbonuso, even Eket can be considered as an Ibibio dialect.
But I still wrote that language and food is the only similar aspect between Efik, Ibibios & Annangs.
Efik share culture with Ejagham, who are also in Cameroun. Are you going to argue that Ibibio & Annang are the same as Ejagham
