UPDATES ON FOLAKE'S CONDITIONS.
First, I want to use this opportunity to thank all the nairalanders both home and abroad for their supports for our family. I was so scared and began to taught of what might likely happened but nairalanders intervention did the magic.

There will be another day for the whole thanks and other stories. My posting this is just to update the house of the current status of the whole things..
I will try to summarize the whole things.

Foraker had finished the major treatment. The results of different tests and examinations carried out shows that everything is as expected. Both chemo and radio had been stopped. We are only battling with the effect of the treatment which we just be a matter of time. All what she needs now is recovery from the side effects of the chemo and radio.
3 days ago, Folake traveled back to Ekiti. Not because of anything but to report on duty. Remember she had been off duty for a long period of time. The authority are aware of her condition but we don't really know their policy. She is no more reporting to eko hospital but her doctor at Luth. Even up till now she still consults on regular bases for examinations and complains.
We will have to see how the recovery process unfold and let the doctor know until the final end.

We still have sum test to run according to them but we are advised to give more time before any test so that they can get real results.

Of course we will need money for the test but I don't know exactly the amount we will need but I know it will just be of few like 100k + or -. That is just my own thinking though. (I am not an expert).
Please we will still need your help when the time for these tests come but I will prefer teHN to take over or help us monitor it when the time comes.. The money involved is relatively small for donation which may result in excess donation.

We are still coming back to nairaland to thank everyone.

You see kingolaola the first you requested help from TehN was for them to handle fundraising and they declined.
Now you have done fundraising yourself which has covered most of the treatment.

Now send an email to directly to TehN for a one-off donation to clear the final treatment. Since TehN will like pay directly to the hospital you need to list specifically all what is needed in that email.
By your estimate it is under 200k but TehN will account for what they give.
It is a special request because you are going to request for a ONE-OFF donation.
Please do this and hopefully when they vote you will get a favorable response.

Fundraising the way you were doing before can not go on in perpetuity.

This is our usual procedure on receipt of a formal request:
We deleberate on the request as a group
We undertake a secret voting process
We then communicate the unanimous decision

PS: We would probably have to transfer the funds directly to the hospital if the group's verdict was a YES

Thank you jaybee. At the beginning of the whole thing, TeHN contacted us to declare their position on the matter. We were told they would not involve in the matter based on collective agreement within members.
We were left with no option than to handle it by ourselves hence why we are doing this

Up till now, I still don't know how to thank you. Tension was on me, I was afraid, I had sleepless night because of Folake's condition. I just wedded but I have to ignore the pleasure and joy of it because of this case.

I only entered the data based on the receipt available to me. There are other expenses that surely does not reflect here and I cant speak about those once in the absence of Folake.

Truly, I have not total the whole donations, But We can now do it together.
The receipt we have is cumbersome.
It is either I scan it which will consume much money or I snap it with a phone to post. My phone a N7000 phone and the camera is 1.3mgpx.
So it will not be suitable for the job.
What I intend to do now is to check all the papers one by one and post it manually.
This will make it faster. But I will still find a means to upload the receipts.

I have to delay my movement out today so that I can appear here. I have been having issues with my swift 4Glte since about 4 days ago.
I use my seven thousand naira phone to check updates on Nairaland but cant post with it because I am use to touch screen.

I am now posting from a cybercafe.
My next post will be an update on the expenses so far. I will do the screening myself to see how the expenses so far has gone. [/b]

I try to understand that people in this case want transparency and I know what is involved.

I have followed few cases handled by teHn and despite the high level of transparency been displayed by the body, There are still question by few people.

This is one of the reasons why I was scared to take up the matter on my shoulder until I got to know that teHN will not be coming in.
As for the updates in the donation list, I have done that but I will copy everything and paste again ti the new page.

I also have another difficulty which is delaying me in giving updates of the donations. I use my personal account which I have other money coming in apart from nairaland donations.

What I do is to login to my GTB account and copy the transaction details to a word document. I then go through it one by one and delete my own personal transaction. This makes the job time demanding. But I know this is public funds, I have to do this for transparency.

I also want to say it here that it will be hard to for me to do things the way of teHN. teHn have different people handling different sections. So there is division of labour.

Despite the irregularities and challenges. I am determined to do my best in giving the details. though it may be slow.

I have just sent a message to swift on their facebook page and they have replied me just now. I need to supplied them some information which I dont have at hand presently. When I get back in the evening I will check and provide the information they need. I hope that can be resolved today.

My swift 4g stopped to connect since 3 days now. I don't know if it is from them. I have to steal this phone from my wife to update so that people can get relieved. My tablet does not recognize sim card anymore. And I stopped using big phones after using 3 expensive phones in 9 months and they all got missed. Your sister Folake is a patient undergoing treatment as we all know, she was suppose to be under ur care as the motive for you creating this thread and you even went through alot to have it approved for donations, you are now too busy, Just as the funds was entrusted in your care for proper spending and accountability as you recieve in your accounts hence you update the house as it goes, some pages back someone did an estimate of almost 800k already in your care few days after your 1st and last update on amount recieved, you said nothing. NO such update again ever since. . . SO right now you mean Folake sees to her affairs and she takes care of the expenses her self also?. Smh!

Yes. I also considered emergencies and that is why the money is in her account. Some times I may not be available when they need cash. And new developments and impromptu cases may occur and I may be away. But there are always people around her at all times including her husband who have access to her account via atm

As per the transparency/accountability, this is the part that scared me most. I really which teHN was involved.

No clear and concise treatment plan. Or I missed that.

Suddenly we are discussing chemo care and not treatment plans.
It is well.

As per the treatment plan, We make consultations and we were best advised to let her complete her remaining sections in Eko hospital.

This is in contrary to our initial plan to go to Ghana. But remember it took sometimes before nairalander responded to my first post and as we were desperate at that time, my other siblings taught of plan B which was why we went to Eko hospital.

After her treatment in Eko hospital, we will still make consultation on next thing to do.

I am so sorry for making you worried on this thread. Things will improve from this moment. I also dont want to give excuses in defense of myself for not reporting here promptly.

However, I have updated the donor list few days ago up till the last moments except very last donation of N1,000.
You can check the list on I think page 26.

As per the amount spent so far, I will want to say here that I will have to look into that so that I can give the house feedback. I have transferred the sum of N610,000 naira to Folakes account on February 20. Right now, I have close to N200,000 to be transferred. This I wanted to do few days ago but unfortunately, there was bad network. I will do that hopefully tomorrow Friday.
I will also ask Folake details of the expenditures so far so that the house can be aware or may be Folake can also handle that aspect since she is here.
