Nollywood actress, Linda Ejiofor shared her insight into the luxurious life of Nigerian whom travel to Seychelles for vacations.

In a recent interview she said Nigerians are known as big spenders as in lot and spend huge amounts of money.

How often do you travel?

I don’t travel too often. I’m working on changing that because my husband likes to travel. The few times I travelled before I met my husband were for work. I don’t have as much latitude to travel as I’d like, especially because I’m on a television series, Tinsel, and that takes much of my time. Even when I travel, it’s the series that takes me out.  I’m trying to change that by travelling with my husband when we have holidays. I’m very excited about this development because I love to see new places and I get to travel with someone I love.





What was your most recent travel experience?

I visited Seychelles in January for my honeymoon and spent ten days there. It was quite cold when we got there and we were told that the weather was friendlier in comparison to what it was in December, when it was quite unbearable. We stayed in the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort which was such a beautiful place. It was quiet, peaceful and high up in the mountains. Seychelles has many mountains.

Okiemute broke the news via her whatsapp status two days ago, expressing her shock and sadness at the sudden passing away of her dear mum.


As at this moment of reporting , the nature or the cause of her death is still yet to be confirmed.



Okiemute is currently in Asaba to make preparations for her mum's burial which is yet to be announced officially.

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold is full of tears as news of his dad passing away last night reached him.

Prince Hakeem Adeyemi Kosoko,whom was appointed the Permanent Secretary of Education District 4 by the outgoing Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode, died during the night after suffering an undisclosed ailment.

Mr Kosoko was flown abroad due to the ailment and his position had to be temporarily filled by a replacement for over a month. He recently returned to Nigeria to recover, a source told LIB. Sadly, he passed on hours ago.

Actor, Saidi Balogun, believes that entertainers have the power to curb drug abuse and other social vices in society.

The actor recently partnered with a foundation, Trauma Savers Life Support Foundation, to preach against drug abuse in schools across Lagos State.

On why he decided to work with the foundation, Balogun said, “I did a movie titled, Scourge, and it was targeted at drug abuse. When the foundation approached me, I saw that they had purpose.

Whatever I want to do, I follow standards. We went to a school in Jibowu, Yaba, during the week and a lot of items were given to the students.”

Though it is widely believed that movies and music largely promote drug abuse, Balogun said a balance can be drawn. “The president of the foundation, Yinka Olaiya, knows this and that is why she decided to involve celebrities in the fight against drug abuse.

Kayode Olasehinde, aka Pa James, is undoubtedly one of the respected veteran actors in the country. However, his living condition at the moment is nothing to write home about.

During the week, his son, Samuel, posted pictures of Pa James, scooping water out of his home. The whole house and its surroundings were evidently flooded.

During a recent, Pa James revealed that the problem was a recurring one. He said, “This issue has been going on for some time and we have always pleaded with the government, but they have just been deceiving us.

Sometimes, they would bring caterpillars and widen the channel which water passes through, which invariably worsens the situation.

One of the caterpillars they brought even broke down and it has been abandoned there for some time now. Some media houses have helped us to publicise our plight but nothing has been done.

The people living around here are now even tired of calling on the government. The Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, which we fall under, has nothing to better our condition. It is clear that the government has neglected us. Whenever the flooding occurs, it damages all the properties in the house. If you get to my house now, you wouldn’t see chairs.”

The mother of three, Emem Isong took to her Instagram page this afternoon to announce the demise of her dad.The Filmmaker wrote:

”One is never prepared for the death of a parent. Even when they’re ill, no matter how one has braced up for the eventuality of their passing, the grief still hits hard.“

And so I am left grieving, with the weight of this loss resting on my already broken heart. But in all things, we will continue to thank God for a life well spent and fulfilled.

Dancehall/Reggae musician Patoranking has released the official tracklist for his upcoming studio album, Wilmer’, ignoring musicians from his home country.

The album houses 12 tracks with six features from different artistes across the world. It is, however, noticeable that no Nigerian is going to be on Patoranking’s next album, except Davido, whom he collaborated with on ‘Confirm’, that was released a while ago.

Unlike Patoranking’s debut album ‘God Over Everything’, which enjoyed collaborations from Nigerian artistes, Olamide, Wizkid, Phyno and Wasiu Ayinde Marshall; ‘Wilmer’ is taking another form entirely.

Gospel musician, Lanre Teriba, was recently trolled on social media for a comment he made about Wizkid, Tubaba and other secular musicians in Nigeria. In the statement, Teriba said some of the big secular musicians in Nigeria were seen as up-and-coming talents in the US.

Following his statement, a lot of people described him as bitter, stressing that he was jealous of the success stories of afrobeat musicians in Nigeria.
