In spite of the temporary setback he suffered a few days to his much anticipated ‘Omo Better Concert’ which held penultimate Sunday, after he got arrested by vigilant men of the Nigerian Police Force, for illegal possession of firearms and attempt to shoot uniformed men, the Agege stadium was lit as Small Doctor recorded a massive success at the much talked about concert. Last weekend, Small Doctor replicated his many sold out shows in and out of the country amidst music lovers in Agege and Environs. Popular comedian IGoDye took to his Instagram page to write an open letter to the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. According to him, he is acting in his capacity as the ambassador of a movement called Make a Difference Against Corruption Today (MADACT). The MADACT ambassador took to posing some questions to the number one citizen of the country. These questions revolved around embezzlement, poor medical amenities, unemployment, hunger and so on. In what was a constructive criticism, IGoDye hoped to prod the seat of the government in a societal redress that will be of benefit to the people of Nigeria. Damini Ogulu, Nigerian Afrofusion artiste better known as Burna Boy, says he can go shirtless if he sees someone wearing the same shirt he is wearing at an event. In an interview with Africa’s Finest, a fashion magazine by Guaranty Trust Bank, the ‘Ye’ singer said he is already working on his own fashion brand. “I try to do what makes me feel like I’m swaggy, it could be a named brand or not. It just has to make me feel good. It just has to be different. For me, if it’s not different, then I don’t feel good,” he responded when asked to describe his style. “I could go somewhere wearing a shirt, and if I see someone wearing the same shirt, I’ll take it off and just be shirtless! “I’m working on it as we speak. It’s my ‘merch’ from my tours but the design is really giving out what I would wear. If I were to wear what I’m wearing right now, It would be all Burna Boy, it would be all my design. That’s basically it! It would be my designs on clothes that I like. I’d describe it as ‘Reckless & Sweet’.” Listing designers he would love to collaborate with, the artiste who says his love for comic books inspired his stage name, mentioned Virgil Abloh, Off-white and Louis Vuitton. Speaking on the inspiration behind his music genre, Burna Boy said: “I had a lot of musical influence growing up, from my grandfather’s highlife and afrobeat collection to my dad who gave me my first reggae CD. IK Osakioduwa Narrates His Ordeal Of Police Brutality; Accuses Police Was Driving On The Wrong Lane (Video) Radio and television on-air personality, Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, popularly known as IK, has taken to his Instagram page to narrate his encounter with some officials of the Nigerian Police in Lagos. The Big Brother Africa TV host, said the police officers were breaking traffic rules by driving against traffic on Admiralty in Lekki, towards the roundabout, and in the process, they hit someone’s car then came down to harass the innocent man even though they were wrong. IK said he intervened to let them know that they were wrong but they turned on him and began to harass him and hit his car, not minding that his children were in it.
