Politics / Cyber Security Levy: Peter Obi's 2021 Tweet On Taxation Trends by Kingsmeal: 8:58pm On May 07
Taxation is an investment. We have 90m Nigerians who are not doing anything. The government first has to invest. How? By putting money in SMEs. In a bank, you cannot withdraw without paying in. Nigeria needs to invest in its people, after which they’d pay back (via taxes). -PO

Peter Obi is very intelligent! Unlike some people that have put more NIGERIANs into poverty and yet want to tax the air they breathe.

You are really even proud to admit you are supporting Binance that is a foreign entity over your own country because of local political differences because those in the political opposition duly protested against subsidy removal?

Shame on your whole community.

Keep running down your own country to please those who are only after profit of their business and that of their employers.

America did what is good for America, just as Nigeria is doing what is good for Nigeria.

Binance and it's goal to make profit, cannot be more important than America or Nigeria economic stability.

Immense shame on you and your lineage.

See who is talking about running down a country.

You think we have forgotten what you guys did in 2012?

Obviously, you were a kid then. My bad

What precedent did America set by convicting their founder?

Is the detention not on a valid court order, yet you feel the need to run down your country?

Keep supporting evil.

You invite mid level employees for a meeting, they attend and they got detained. Keep cheering this nonsénse, while you jump from country to country and plane to plane looking for investors.

You think they don't do their research before throwing their millions? Ride on boy.

Just as Seunmsg, Bayo Onanuga are the kind of over boated resume of people that have always surrounded Tinubu. Now social media has exposed how empty they all are.

It’s really a pity. APC miscreants don’t know that 0.005 and 0.5% are the same thing.

"Let The Poor Breathe" - Tinubu Supporter, Seyi Law Cries Out Over Incessant Taxing By Tinubu Govt

I hate when government agencies don't speak up to the understanding of the citizens and allow wrong narratives to fester before tackling it. Cybersecurity level, according to the act, is 0.005%, and different figures from 0.5% to 3% are being thrown around.

A 0.5% charge in the Nigeria of today is in itself too much punishment on Nigerians. Are we trying to discourage banking transactions again and encourage cash keeping? @cenbank should revisit this abeg.

Stamp duty is something, and now this. It is unacceptable. @NGRPresident @officialABAT, let the poor breathe. When will the new minimum wage be announced and implemented? Some of your ministers need to look for another job. One year is here and we are counting.

That's the modus operandi of APC.

Tax and tax the masses.

I thought you were going to blame the PDP.

Listen to me Helinus, even if the government is paying you to defend everything on Nairaland, don't you think displaying stupidity should have extra cost? Because you are fast losing it.

From Emefiele to Cardoso, APC remains the same. Multiple taxation.

For every transaction you initiate, you must pay.

Electronic levy
Stamp duty levy,
Account maintenance levy,
VAT,
cybersecurity levy.
Next?
Next?
Next?

Multiple multiple taxation.

I have never seen any country in the world, whose government imposes multiple taxation on her citizens via banking like Nigeria.

Well, Bad government must consume us all. Both the foolish supporters and the sincere opposers. Dem no dey telly person dat one.

What the new levy means is if you do 1million naira transfer, the bank will charge you an extra 5,000 naira to be sent to the NSA office for “cybersecurity”.

And if you send 2million, bank will charge you extra 10,000 naira.

If you transfer 1 million naira two times in a week, you will be charged #10,000 for cyber security levy.

It’s crazy at this point.
This is mass financial strangulation. This Lucifer Govt has offered the masses nothing, all it has been doing is to take and take from everyone.
