The good people of Nigeria have spoken with a strong voice as to who they deem qualified to be truly called the top politicians for the outgoing year “2016” based on their selfless contributions to the growths and developments of the country. They believe that if this set of politicians is given more power, roles and responsibilities, there would be more impact on the economic progress going forward. Many entries were received within and outside the country, but to make it more credible, the list for ‘The 2016 top Nigerian politicians’ who performed well in actions and otherwise (bearing in mind the ‘Gorilla of recession’ militating against her progress this year) has been penciled as just five (5) politicians. If Vineck.com begins to highlight all their achievements, this article will run into hundreds of pages. So, we will simply examine their brief profile and leave you to decide whether or not you agree to the list. To start with, in no particular order: Ayodele Fayose This 56 years old governor of Ekiti state has shown that any governor that is serious and is ready to serve can achieve results when the right things are done. Vineck.com learnt that despite being among the low income state in Nigeria, the governor has continued to put into judicious use her revenue allocated by the federal government through the ministry of finance. There are lots of projects being embarked upon by the state governor and these can be felt in the life Ekiti residence. Shehu Sani Shehu Sani is a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria representing the good people of Kaduna North Central District of Kaduna state and the first senator to had declare his assets publicly. Vineck.com learnt that he is 49 years old; and before taking politics full time, he was well known as an author, playwright as well as a human rights activist. He played a key role in the struggle for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria. Consequently, he was jailed for life, but was released when Democracy came into being in 1999. He was been winning the hearts of many because of his unbiased utterances notwithstanding if they were against his political party, the All Progressive Congress (APC). One thing that many like about him is that he addresses issues objectively, rather than covering the naked truths in his favour which has led to the suspension from his party, but his ward says the suspension cannot hold. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari This elegant first lady deserves very little introduction in the Nigerian politics today. She was born 45 years ago in Adamawa. She is known by many in various ways; but officially, she is a cosmetologist, author as well as an entrepreneur. Vineck.com learnt that the first Minister of Defence was her grandfather, Alhaji Muhammadu Ribadu. She got married to President Muhammadu Buhari December 2, 1989. She is a strong advocate for the rights of women, persons living with disabilities as well as against early marriage of the girl child. About two (2) months ago, she made some controversial statements in an interviews granted to a media organizations where she affirmed that she would not back her husband in the next election if he does not take full control of his government. Akinwunmi Amobode This is a proactive governor par excellence. His beginning as governor was not too impressive with so many Lagosians wondering if they had made a mistake for electing Mr. Ambode. However, the story is changing with his impact is evidently felt across the state with so much economic activities taking place. He believes that once issues relating to security, infrastructures and job opportunities are properly addressed, the state would flourish in every other aspect, leading to massive economic opportunities for all and sundry, Vineck.com authoritatively gathered. Obiano Willie People say Peter Obi, the immediate past governor of Anambra state laid a solid foundation for his successor, but many projects in progress across the state show that the present governor, Chief. Obiano Willie is doing much more. While other states are grappling with this new reality, Gov. Willie Obiano is not only increasing salaries, but he is busy building bridges and landmark infrastructures in every sector of the state. Vineck.com noted with amazement his drive for hard currency as the state has been known to export some of her farm produce to other countries. It was reported that he increased the monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from N500 million to N1.3bn. Now that you know, who would make your list as “The 5 Worst Nigerian Politicians Presently in Office?” Source: http://www.vineck.com/2016/12/2016-best-5-nigerian-politicians-in.html |

Just less than 13 days ago, many bloggers had reported of a young Nigerian man that turned down a lucrative job offer from Bill Gates. Last year, Kwekowe, just 23 years old, won the 2015 Anzisha Price worth $25,000. His reason for turning down the job is due to his passion and strong belief in his own startup called ‘Slatecube.’ Slatecube is a platform about helping many young Nigerians to finding jobs online. Confirmed facts available to Vineck.com shows that Chris Kwekowe did not attend LASU, but...
