KiniPrice:
Many people have been asking us which Nigeria’s online stores is the best to buy their laptop in Nigeria. Perhaps this is to help them get the best deal.

But the simple answer to that question is that there is no perfect store. Here is why. Some store may give you a low price today, then a higher price tomorrow. Some will even tell you that your favourite laptop will be delivered in 5 days, only for you to realize that the laptop is not even available anymore at their store. But we believe that you can still make the right decision if you read this article carefully.

Today, there are many online stores in Nigeria. Notable Nigeria’s online stores that sell quality laptops are Jumia, Konga, SLOT, and Kara.

But before buying your laptop in any of these e-commerce stores, we think you need to ask yourself this question, “why should I buy my laptop in Nigerian online stores?” If you are bereft of ideas, here are some good reasons why you should consider buying your laptop in online stores.

One, it is more convenient and less stressful than going to the market to buy it. Another good reason is that it saves time. If you are the type that don’t have time to go to Computer Village or any popular markets in Nigeria, you will be better off buying your laptop in some of online stores we’ve just mentioned.

Besides having a lot of good reasons to buy it at online stores, you need to take some other smart decisions. In order words, we think to avoid any stories that touch the heart, you need to consider 6 things before going ahead to purchase your desired laptops from any Nigerian online stores.

Gionee P5 Mini

As you can see from the price above, Gionee got you covered if you want a phone below N30, 000 too. Sporting a 4.5-inch WVGA IPS display, the Gionee P5 Mini perfectly blends a pop of colour and the goodness of Android to give you an efficient yet cheerful phone. In all aspects, the P5 Mini is a mini smartphone. Some pros of the P5 Mini is 8GB of RAM which is expandable up to 128GB which is not common in entry-level models. Also, the screen comes with Asahi Glass protection from scratches and Gionee’s Face Unlock feature.

Another unique feature of the P5 Mini is DTS sound technology which provides an enhanced audio experience with surround sound. Of all the phones on this list, the P5 Mini is the cheapest. We think it's affordable and a cool starter-class Android phone.

Some cons of the P5 Mini is the 1.3GHz processor coupled with only 1GB RAM. Also, the 2MP selfie camera and the 1850mAh battery might be disappointing.

Key Features

Android 5.1 Lollipop
Display: 4.5-inch FWVGA
Processor: MediaTek MT6580, Quad-core 1.3 GHz
Camera: 5MP (back); 2MP (front)
Battery: 1850mAh

Gionee P8W

The Gionee P8W is a budget-friendly smartphone and is one of the cheapest on this list. It sports a 5-inch IPS display at with resolution of 720 x 1280. The device is powered by MediaTek Quad-core CPU runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The 1GB RAM with 16GB internal storage handles your day to task pretty well. Also, the P8W features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and Auto-focus.  If you’re looking for an affordable phone, the Gionee P8W can be a good option.

The disadvantage of this phone is the 2300mAh battery. We believe Gionee could have done better with the battery. Another downside is the lack of fingerprint scanner which has now become common with smartphones. But since it’s an entry-level phone, that can be overlooked. Besides, fans may not be impressed with the MediaTek 6735M Quad-core.

Key Features:

Android 6.0 Marshmallow + Amigos 3.5
Processor: MediaTek 6735M
Display: 5.0-inch
Camera: 8MP rear /5MP front
4G LTE Connectivity
Battery: 2300mAh

Gionee F103 Pro

Another affordable Gionee phone is Gionee’s F103 Pro. This smartphone combines the features of an entry-level and a mid-level smartphone. Gionee’s F103 Pro  also comes with a 5-inch HD display and a 2.5D-arched anti-scratch Dragontail finish. Regarding performance, the F103 has sufficient amount of RAM and good internal storage. It sports 3GB RAM and 16 ROM.

Other pros of this device are a 13MP LED flash camera and a 5MP secondary with flash which enables it to take good quality shots and beautiful selfies. Besides, it's 1.3 Quad-core processor is decent enough for multitasking.

However, it comes with a 2400mAh battery, and that may be a drawback especially for a phone lugging 3GB of RAM. We wish it had more battery capacity. Also, the battery is not user replaceable. On top of that, the resolution is 720p only which is quite mediocre for a 5-inch display.

Key Features

Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Display: 5.0-inch HD IPS
RAM: 3GB
ROM: 16GB (expandable up to 128GB)
Camera: 13MP (rear); 5MP (front)
CPU: Quad-core 1.3 GHz
Battery: 2400mAh

Gionee M5 Mini

Look no further if you need an affordable Gionee phone that comes with a fast processor and has great cameras, including a large battery and storage. Gionee M5 Mini, also known the Marathon M5 Mini, is your best bet if you want all these features in your ideal phone. The stripped-down version of the highly rated Gionee M5 is a mid-range phone that offers great features.

The M5 Mini comes with a 5-inch HD screen with an excellent cut rectangular shape and curved edges, like other phones in the marathon series. Also, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor. The M5 Mini has other cool features such as 8MP back camera with Dual-Led Flash and Auto-focus, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage.

A drawback of this device is the outdated Android O.S 5.1 Lollipop Operating System.  Also, it comes with non-removable battery and has no 4G connectivity. Besides, there is no screen protection, which is an important factor to consider. Here are some other cons:

Screen protection is missing which is very essential
Bit heavy to carry the handset with its huge battery
4G Connectivity is missing

Key Features

Display: 5.0-inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen
Resolution: 720 x 1280 pixels
OS: Android 5.1 Lollipop
Camera: 8MP Back, 5MP Front
Chipset: MediaTek MT6580
CPU: Quad-core 1.3 GHz
Internal Memory: 16GB
RAM: 2GB
Battery: 4000mAh

Gionee M6 Mirror

The M6 Mirror is one of the most attractive smartphones on this list. With a 3D Back Arc Mirror design, a Dual Arc Design and a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the M6 Mirror is alluring. The M6 Mirror is a big phone, sporting a 5.5-inch screen which is even more beautiful with its water drop display feature.

The device has a superb 13MP rear camera that captures bright pictures. You can also take perfect selfies with the 8MP front camera which has face beauty feature.  Armed with a 3GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, Quad-core 1.5GHz processor, you can multitask, play games and use the media features on the device smoothly.

Another unique feature of the M6 Mirror is the split screen which allows you to do more at a go. You can chat with friends while watching a video on YouTube. What more? The screen recorder feature allows you to record the activities on your screen. That’s cool, right?

Besides, you can use the device as a remote for other home appliances such as your smart TV, thanks to its smart remote feature. We think the M6 Mirror is a bargain with all the unique specs that’ll make you fall in love with your phone.

The con of the M6 Mirror is that you can’t use dual-sim standby on the device if you want to expand the memory with a USB card due to the Hybrid Sim.  Also, we expected the device to have more battery capacity. The 3150mAh battery is unlike the Marathon series and it’s not impressive for a phone in that price category.

Key Features

Display: 5.5-inch AMOLED 2.5D Curved Glass Capacitive touchscreen
Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigos 3.5 UI
Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels
4G LTE Connectivity
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 3
RAM: 3 GB
Internal Storage: 16GB (Micro SD card slot; up to 128GB)
Processor: MediaTek Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex- A53
Camera: 13MP (rear) 8MP (front)
Battery:3150 mAh

Technology Market / Re: Why You Need A Washing Machine In Nigeria by KiniPrice(f): 5:20pm On Sep 14, 2017
IT IS CHEAPER.

A washing machine is the most cost-effective laundry option compared to commercial dry cleaning and hired help. Hired helps charge 100 naira per item averagely. The average cost of dry cleaning a shirt is N 150. Considering the fact that washing machines cost as low as N 25,000, you can save as much as N10,000 naira monthly. This depends on how much laundry you do. Some of the low-cost washing machines in Nigerian online stores are QASA Double Tub Washing Machine QWM-55-DX, Nexus NX-WM-4ST -3.5KG Single Tub Washing Machine, and Polystar Washing Machine – PV-WD 4.5 KG

IT IS EFFICIENT.

A washing machine is a more effective version of hand washing, one of the least favourite household chores in Nigeria. A washer serves as a household alternative to commercial dry cleaning too. It also removes stains faster compared to handwashing. With a washer, you can do your laundry at any time that suits your lifestyle, even at night.

IT SAVES TIME.

Washing machines are reminders of the fundamental importance of automated devices. These appliances save the time required for laundry. With a washing machine, all you have to do is load the clothes and let the machine do its magic. In addition to saving time, washing machines also shorten the time clothing need to dry. They spin loads at high-speed leaving little moisture which is easily dried.

“Why should I get a washing machine?” We are sure this question may be flashing through your mind once in a while. Of course, without washing machines, you can still wash your cloths and have them look perfectly clean. After all, you can decide to wash it yourself or even hire the service of a dry cleaner. But why waste so much time doing the chore yourself or spending more money to wash your clothes.

With life getting busier daily and chores piling up as a result , washing machines have become great helping hands in many Nigerian homes. But if you are among those who are yet to decide whether getting a washing machine is a good option or not for you. We understand your fears.

You are not alone in this. Some Nigerians think washing machines cannot help them remove some stubborn stains. Some even think that since we don't have a reliable power supply in Nigeria, getting a washing machine is not a good idea.

But we think there are many reasons why washing machine will really help you. Here are five of our top reasons why you need a washing machine in your home.

Hi KiniPricers

Have you heard of the word probiotics before? Haha, you don’t need to be a health expert to know this. Probiotics are those good bacteria inside your body. Guess what they do? They help you digest your food quickly. On the contrary, not all bacteria are bad. Some of them like probiotics are very friendly and they can help you move food through your gut.

We all have been in a situation where we want to consume a lot of food, but our stomach is filled people. Most Nigerians who go to parties can relate to this. Worry no more. This is where the best probiotic supplements come in handy.

Probiotics are good microorganisms that help to maintain proper stomach health and assist in managing some stomach troubles like bloating, indigestion, constipation and so on. Natural sources of probiotics include yoghurt, pap, and some other dairy products.

Two reasons make probiotic supplements necessary. One, natural sources of probiotics cause allergic reactions in some people. The number two reason is that probiotic supplements offer a wider variety of microorganisms needed for a healthy stomach.

Probiotic supplements vary in the number of microorganism types (also known as strain) they have, and in the total number of microorganism content (referred to as colony forming unit). Different brands of probiotics supplements exist in the Nigerian market. And we believe it is important that you are aware of the best probiotics in the Nigerian market to make informed buying decisions. In no particular order below is a list of the top four probiotic brands in Nigeria’s online stores

adeboyewareez:
Hello there!

These tips are helpful to those of us searching for a good Laptop.

Speaking of the Laptop search, I've actually been on it for long now, and really, I've not been able to settle with an option. Well, it's not that I'm super choosy when it comes to Laptops but the thing is, I have preferences that are bit unusual (as someone pointed out to me).

Firstly, I'm a student, so my Power needs aren't all that high when it comes to Laptops. I'm a fan of bleeding edge processors but I don't overly need them, I'm a 'productivity' person who loves Using Word processors, Presentation Software, and other productivity softwares everyday, I just need a laptop which can keep up with that (and some more). I also like a bit of style and statement to my tech, so laptops with stylish and fashionable designs are a deal breaker for me.

So, My options are down to a few Laptops; The Microsoft Surface, and Huawei Laptops (I'm not gonna buy a MacBook). The issue here isn't the budget, as I plan according to what I want to buy. I'm really concerned since these Laptop Brands aren't all that popular in my locality, aftersales services might not be readily available. Do you advise that I just go ahead and make the jump?

Hi

From your response, since the budget is not an issue and since you already have two options in mind, we advise you to get either the Microsoft Surface or the Huawei Laptop. Even though these laptops are not very popular in Nigeria, they can last you for an average of 3 years if you maintain them properly. But remember this. If you one way or the other damage the laptop, it may be very difficult for you to repair it due to the scarcity of its spare parts.

Good luck!
