5 | Tecno T350

By now, you’re aware that Tecno phones are reasonably reliable and affordable. The Tecno T350 is a small phone with 4MB RAM and 4MB ROM. It has a fantastic battery capacity of 1500mAh. So you can call as much as you want, and listen to the radio for a whole day or two before thinking about charging the phone.

Did we mention this small phone has a back camera as well? Well, it shares the same characteristics with the Tecno T349. Really, there isn’t much difference between the two phones when you evaluate them. It makes us wonder why we need to pay ₦1000 more for the same features. Do you have any idea why? Kindly let us know in the comments section.

4 | Itel 5600

For just a small amount of money, you can buy this Itel 5600. It’s a dual sim small phone just like the Tecno T349 we mentioned earlier. The phone has an FM radio for you to listen to your favourite radio stations.

Unfortunately, you cannot listen to MP3 or MP4 files on it like the Innjoo L100. The screen is 1.77 inches, making it very portable and comfortable for your palm. Nobody will notice the phone in your hands when you’re using it. Besides these features, this small phone has GPRS for browsing as well as the PalmChat app. Well, the phone seems quite good, but the Innjoo L100 definitely offers more and it’s cheaper. Which phone would you prefer to buy?

3 | Innjoo L100

The Innjoo L100 is a small phone you will love once you finish reading this review. It has a 1000mAh battery capacity which according to the manufacturers, can give about 10 hours talk time on a single charge. In addition to this, the phone has a camera that lets you capture long-lasting memories.

What's more, the Innjoo L100 has an FM radio you can listen to and a Bluetooth connectivity function. So you can transfer music files to your phone to listen to. It has a 32MB storage which is expandable to 32GB with a micro SD memory card. So all you have to do is sit back and listen to your favourite music for as long as you want.

The only disadvantage, from our observation, is the camera quality which is 0.3MP. We think it is quite low for a phone of such great capacity. What are your thoughts? Do you agree or disagree?

2 | iMose M3i Dual Sim phone

While many people want a small phone for just calls and messages, others want them because they’re more affordable. Well, that’s what you’ll get with this small phone. The iMose M3i is a Nigerian made small phone with a 1.8 inch coloured screen. Apart from this, this small phone has a rear camera as well as a flashlight which allows you to take pictures for your viewing pleasure.

The only issue we consider a disadvantage of this small phone is the battery capacity which is 800mAh. It is very small compared to the Tecno T349. However, the manufacturers of the phone say the phone should last for five days if it is on standby mode. So if you like the features of the phone and the battery capacity will not be an issue later on, go ahead with your purchase. When you use the phone, kindly let us know your experience with it in the comment section below.

1 | Tecno T349

The Tecno T349 basic phone has many features which will make you consider buying it. First, this small phone is enabled for dual sim cards. So if you have two major phone numbers for calls and text messages, this phone is just right for you.

The battery capacity of this small phone is 1500mAh. So you should be able to use this small phone for more than two days without charging it. And just to alleviate the boredom that may come with using a basic phone, the Tecno manufacturers decided to include an FM radio as well. With this phone, you can listen to any radio channel of your choice at home or on the move.

The only disadvantage is that this phone has a 4MB RAM and 4MB ROM which is quite small for a basic phone. So you might not be able to save many phone numbers because of the memory space. But if you don’t mind this con, this is a great phone to own.

2 | Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

If you don’t like the top freezer refrigerator, another option at your fingertips is the bottom freezer.  As you can see from the above, the freezer compartment of these refrigerators is located at the bottom and occupies about a third of the fridge. The door to the freezer may open like a drawer or like a door.

PROS

Fresh food can be easily accessed at standing height.
Prices are lower than the side-by-side and French door fridges. You can get a bottom freezer fridge with at least ₦106,900.
More features than the top freezer refrigerators.

CONS.

Takes up a lot of kitchen space, just like top freezer models, because of the door.
Inconvenience when loading and unloading the freezer.

What is a refrigerator?

We understand that everyone knows what a refrigerator is. But sometimes, people mistake a refrigerator for a freezer. So, let’s clarify that. A refrigerator, otherwise known as a fridge, is a cooling device that holds food and food products at temperatures slightly above the freezing point of water. A fridge differs from a freezer which maintains temperatures below the freezing point of water. The temperature of a fridge is 3- 5oC.

And you can get a fridge for as low as ₦17,000 and as high as ₦1,706,800. You may find that some refrigerators are either more expensive or less expensive than freezers depending on the model, brand, and type you prefer.

What edge does the iPhone 8 have over the other models?

With the specs we’ve discussed above, the iPhone 8 may remain in the shadow of the 8 Plus and iPhone 10 in the market. However, it will be the cheapest of the three models. And Apple fans who just want a ‘normal’ upgrade may prefer it.

The iPhone 8 runs on the IOS 11 and is powered by a Hexacore processor like its counterparts.  But it comes with 2GB RAM as against the 3GB RAM of the 8 Plus and the X.

Also, it maintains the home button and fingerprint authentication like its predecessor.  Besides, the 8 Plus has a glass at the front and the back. It is capable of wireless charging on a standard Qi charging pad.

Can you imagine never plugging in a cable again? Just place it over a power pad, and you’re ready to go. And, like the other models, it has fast charge.

What’s more, it features 12MP rear camera with autofocus. Other cool specs of the camera include auto Flash, face detection, simultaneous HD video and image recording. What more? The iPhone 8 is water and dust resistant.

In sum, you get all the features of the iPhone 8 Plus except the dual-lens camera at a pocket-friendly price. Are you budget conscious? Do you think you can live with iPhone 8 cons such as a smaller screen, lesser RAM size, and lower resolution? Then you should consider the iPhone 8.

Pros

Compact design
Lower price tag
4K video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps
Optical image stabilization for video
Quad-LED True Tone flash
Video support for 1080p at 120 fps or 240 fps
Take 8MP still photos while recording 4K video

Cons

No dual-lens (you won’t get to enjoy the portrait mode)
Smaller screen with lower resolution compared to its counterparts
It has the smallest battery out of the three new iPhones
No face ID
No dual-sim support
No SD card slot
Lack of headphone jack

Features

Retina HD display
Screen: 4.7-inch LCD HD Retina
Resolution: 750 x 1334 at 326 ppi
Processor: Hexacore
ROM: 64G/256GB (non-expandable)
RAM: 2GB
True Tone Display
Camera: 12MP (rear); 7MP (front)
Battery: 1821mAh

Apple iPhone 8

The last but not the least is the iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 sports the smallest screen size out of the three newly released devices. It comes with a 4.7-inch IPS LCD HD Retina display. This means you can comfortably hold it with one hand. But if you’re a fan of large screens, the iPhone 8 is not for you. Also, the resolution of the iPhone 8 is 750 x 1334 with 360 ppi. So, don’t expect the same quality of display as the other models.

What edge does the iPhone 8 Plus have over the iPhone X?

If you’re one of Apple fans that still want their home button and touch ID, you’ll love the iPhone 8 Plus. The camera of the 8 Plus is just out of this world. The Dual 12MP (f/1.8 + f/2.cool rear camera features quad-LED (dual tone) flash, simultaneous 4k video and 8MP video recording, autofocus and more.

We believe the iPhone 8 Plus will have the advantage over the iPhone X regarding price. You get the same features as in the iPhone X except for the full-screen OLED display, Face ID, and ‘Animojis.’ But you get a smaller 5.5-inch display. This could be an advantage as the iPhone 8Plus would fit into your hands or pockets easily.

Pros

Optical zoom; 6x digital zoom (iPhone 8 Plus only)
Cheaper than the iPhone X
3D dual-lens cameras (with portrait mode)
4K video recording
Six-core A11 processor which makes it fast with longer battery life
Screen recording
AR game Apps
High-Speed wireless charging

Cons

No OLED display
No full-screen display
No Face ID
No SD card support
Lack of USB Type-C port
No 3.5mm Jack

Key Features

Display: 5.5-inch LCD HD Retina
Resolution: 1080 x 1920 with 401 ppi
Processor: Hexacore
RAM: 3GB
ROM: 64GB/256GB (non-expandable)
OS: iOS 11
Chipset: Apple A11 Bionic
Processor Chipset Type: Hexa-Core
Rear Camera: Dual 12MP wide angle and telephoto, with quad-LED flash
Front: 7MP
Fingerprint Scanner (front)
Battery: 2675mAh
4G LTE

Apple iPhone 8 Plus

If you need a device with the most advanced camera in its class, and you can’t afford the iPhone X, the 8Plus is for you. The iPhone 8 Plus also sports 7MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera. And it records 1080p videos.

Another highlight of the dual camera is that it can do Portrait Mode. And with Apple's new Portrait lighting camera effects, the camera 3D maps your face so that you can apply different lighting effects to facial contours.

The 8 Plus packs 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This device is powered by Apple A11 Bionic Hexacore chipset like the iPhone X. Regarding internal memory, you either chose 64GB or 256GB and 3GB of RAM. The iPhone 8 Plus also highlight dual 12MP rear camera and 7MP front camera.

What edge does the iPhone X have over the iPhone 8 Plus?

The iPhone X brings to the table an OLED edge-to-edge display that should deliver eye-popping pictures. Also, the iPhone X does not have the home button and the touch ID, which has been replaced with a facial recognition system. Not everyone likes the face recognition technology since it doesn’t feel natural to use. We even doubt whether the iPhone X would be able to recognize people’s face in the dark. Let’s wait and see anyway.

Apart from those shortcomings, it adds a larger screen and more compact design. What more? The secondary camera adds more effects such as facial controls and Face ID facial unlocking. And, let’s not forget the ‘Animojis.'

Pros

Face ID technology
3D animated ‘Animojis.’
dual-lens camera
Bezel-less display
Curved, edge-to-edge 5.8-inch OLED display with True Tone technology
Pre-installed iOS 11 with updated Siri
3D sensing capability
High end six core A11 fusion chip processor for smooth and faster multi-task experience
Better AR experience
Remote wireless charging
Retro all-glass body

Cons

No headphone jack
High price tag
Lack of USB-C
No dual-sim support
No SD card slot

Features

Display: 5.8-inch OLED Super Retina
Resolution: 2436 x 1125 edge-to-edge display
Processor: Hexacore
Rear Camera: Vertical 12MP dual cameras with OIS
Front facing: 7MP
Wireless charging/fast charging
Face ID
iOS 11
RAM: 3GB
ROM: 64GB/ 256GB
Battery: 3000mAh
Dust and water resistant

iPhone X

If you don’t want people to start laughing at you, don’t pronounce this beast ‘iPhone X’. The official name is iPhone 10, okay. According to Apple, the X stands for 10 in the Roman figure.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the iPhone X (iPhone 10) is Apple's first smartphone to feature a full-screen super retina display and OLED. The OLED technology delivers better image quality than the IPS. And it is battery-friendly, according to Apple.

Regarding performance, the iPhone X is powered by an A11 Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture. Apple claims the A11 is 25% faster than its predecessor, the A10 chip in the iPhone 7. Besides, you get 3GB RAM with the option of 64BG or 256GB ROM. That means you should expect smoother multitasking and browsing from this powerful device.

Apple is marketing the iPhone X as the future of smartphones. The new ARkit platform, the A11 Bionic chip, and the camera all combine to give users better-augmented reality experience. From gaming to sports, you can now be transported into the digital world. And according to Apple, you’re not just playing the game; you’re in the game!

Even though the iPhone X does not come with a home button, Apple has made it super-easy for you to navigate your apps. To view your apps, you will need to swipe from the bottom. Also, the 3D face-recognition unlocks the device for authentication.

The fun feature of iPhone X is Animojis, Apple’s new animated emojis. The Animojis can mimic your movement and mimic whatever you say in messages to other iPhone users.

Isn’t this amazing?

Besides, like the 8 Plus, the iPhone 10 has two back facing cameras. You get a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. The telephoto lens allows you to shoot 4K videos.

Differences of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X

As for their differences, let’s tell you the obvious. While iPhone X comes in a bezel-less OLED display, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus still retains the IPS LCD like the iPhone 7. However, both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus have super retina display. That means you still get to enjoy extremely crisp text and images.

Also, the iPhone X comes with no home button. The 3D touch technology allows you to use your iPhone by tapping on the display. What’s more, the iPhone X has no fingerprint scanner. Instead, it utilizes face ID technology to unlock your phone. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, have the home button

Similarities of iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X

Before we start with the expert review of iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone properly, let’s quickly tell you some similarities between these iPhones. iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X all feature a better camera and a faster processor than the iPhone 7. Apple says the A11 6-core bionic chip is the most powerful processor the company has built thus far.

Another similarity is that the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X all come with a glass body. In the words of Apple, the glass on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X is the most durable ever on an iPhone. Besides, the glass on the back of the devices allows for quick wireless charging. You can either charge your device with a USB charger or use the the Qi charging pad to power it up.

Hi KiniPricers

It is no longer news that Apple has released the much-awaited iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. And if you are just hearing about it, you’re not alone. The most important thing you should know is that the new iPhone X and iPhone 8 won’t be released at the same time.

According to the giant American high-tech company Apple, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be released officially into the market from September 22, 2017. However, the iPhone X pre-orders will begin on October 27, 2017. We hope Nigerians who can afford these beasts can buy it on that day in Nigeria.

That said. The iPhone X will come in two shades: space grey and silver. The iPhone 8, on the other hand, will be available in silver, gold and space grey. We don’t know why Apple has decided to exclude colors like gold red, and rose gold to the new iPhones. But so far, the colors of the new iPhones look extremely amazing!

So what’s special about these expensive iPhones? And which one is the best?
