About Tekno’s Sony Deal

It’s no more news that 2016 hottest artist in Nigeria, and Triple MG act Tekno has inked a recording deal with American record label, owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America.

Though, Tekno alongside with his manager Ubi Franklin and Paul Okoye of Upfront and Personal Booking all jet out to New York to finalized the deal few days ago. With this, Tekno now joined the league of Nigerian artistes are have started doing business with American music company.



In 2016, the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Ycee and Ayo Jay are all involved in different business with Sony Music in a terrain that’s value to favour both party. In recent interview with Linda Ikeji, Ubi Franklin disclosed that the preliminary contract had been signed and sent back for vetting, which kick started the process.

The immediate past Senate President, David Mark, has revealed that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan lost the support of key members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who discreetly worked against his re-election due to the suspicious nature of his wife, Patience Jonathan.

Mark’s claim was contained in the book, ‘Against the Run of Play’ written by the Chairman ThisDay Board of Editors and former Presidential spokesperson, Olusegun Adeniyi.

In the book, the former Senate President alleged that both Jonathan and his wife turned former Speaker of the House of Representatives and current Governor of Sokoto State into a political foe.

A 65-year-old man on Friday told an Ibadan Customary Court, sitting in Agodi, how his wife of 38 years committed adultery with his typist while he was away on official assignment. The husband, Mr Alaba Aigbe, had asked the court to dissolve his marriage with Veronica over alleged adultery and witchcraft.

In his testimony, the complainant said that while he was on official assignment in Jigawa in 2006, he asked his typist to be collecting his salaries and give to his wife. “Since the assignment will take a year to complete, I asked my typist to receive my salaries on my behalf and forward it to my wife because I did not want her and the children to suffer when I was away.
