Make your i an integer. For when you get here:

arr[1.1] = scan.nextFloat(); would be likely. And that would be out flat wrong. Since array indices can only be integers.

Just as an addition, also make size an integer. Though, it wouldn't throw an exception, but don't make it a floating point number.

What is medicinal is only permissible, if in and of itself; that thing is permissible. As for intoxicants, then no doubt; they are haraam. Allaah, the most exalted says;


“O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al-Ansaab, and Al-Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful”
[al-Maa’idah 5:90].

Also, Allaah's prophet (upon him be peace and blessings) forbade that one uses something which is haraam as a drug. Take a look at these narrations;

Abu Dawood narrated in his Sunan that Abu’l-Darda’ (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has sent down the disease and the cure, and He has made for every disease a cure. So treat sickness, but do not treat it with anything haraam.”

In Saheeh Muslim it is narrated from Taariq ibn Suwayd al-Ju’fi that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about alcohol and he forbade him or told him not to make it. He said: “But I make it as a remedy.” He said: “It is not a remedy, it is a disease.”

So the matter becomes clear that things that are haraam cannot be used as medicine. Baarakallaahu feekum.

In other to normalize the table to 1NF, ensure the attributes have ONLY atomic domains. So, we'll need to expand the table so it contains more rows.

Since the table is already in 1NF, we now make it to 2NF. And to achieve this, we need ensure the non-prime keys are fully dependent on the candidate key. We'll need to split this table into 3. The first should contain mission number and mission date. The second table should contain Agency Number, Lead Agency and Country. And the third table should contain the remaining attributes.

As for the 3NF, the only transitive dependency evident to me is in the third table and that is between Equipment and Total weight. So for the 3NF, we'll add a fourth table containing only Item weight and Total weight.

"Al-Bukhaari (380) and Muslim (658) narrated from Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) that his grandmother Mulaykah invited the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to a meal that she had made for him, and he ate some, then he said: “Get up and let me lead you in prayer.” Anas said: I went and got a reed mat of ours that had become blackened from long use, and sprinkled it with water. Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stood, and the orphan and I stood behind him, and the old lady stood behind us, and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) led us in praying two rak'ahs, then he left.

Al-Haafiz said in al-Fath : This hadeeth teaches us a number of things… that women should stand behind the men’s rows, and a woman should form a row on her own if no other woman is present. End quote."
