majiouk2002:I am grateful. Thanks so much |
Cottyekundayo:I hope this helps. it was sent to me by engineers Australia when I asked similar questions Dear......... We are unable to advise you on the content you should use for your career episodes. The assessor will let you know whether they are suitable upon review. The assessor will let you know if they require a reference letter for your internship. The most important thing to remember when writing your CDR is that you are able to demonstrate how you have applied your engineering knowledge/skills and that such application meets the competency standards of the relevant occupational category in Australia. When writing your CDR, you may use material from: • an engineering task undertaken as part of your educational program; • a project you have worked on or are currently working on; • a specific position that you occupied or currently occupy (in this case, the career episode must comprise more than a mere duty statement); • a particular engineering problem that you were required to solve. Each of the required three career episodes should emphasise any engineering problems identified and any particular problem solving techniques used by you. The purpose of this is to assess the nature of the contribution which you may have made to the engineering project or task - particularly if that contribution was of a novel nature or critical to the implementation of the task/project. Please note that it is not sufficient to merely describe work in which you were involved. Your own role in the work must be clearly described by you, and be identifiable in the assessment. You need to address all of the engineering competency elements but you do not have to address all of the indicators. In relation to the Summary Statement elements, you do not have to address all elements in each of your career episodes. However, you will need to address each element in your summary statement overall. The analyses of your Career Episodes are to be reported in the form of one Summary Statement of competency elements claimed. Please refer to Section C of the MSA Booklet for the preparation of your career episodes and summary statement. If you are applying for the Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment, you will need to refer to Section D and page 29 of the MSA Booklet for a full list of the requirements. If you are NOT applying for the Relevant Skilled Employment, but your career episode/s are based on your employment, you will be required to provide documentary evidence in support of the work experience claims and this must be on a company letterhead (including name and location details) and include the date of document, dates and duration of employment in addition to the name and position of author. Please refer to page 19 (section 4. Employment) for further details. If you are applying for the Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment, the description/list of your work duties is a mandatory requirement. Please refer to page 29 (Section D) of the MSA Booklet for further details. Kind regards Kimberly |
majiouk2002:I have sent the documents to your mail sir. Thanks |
majiouk2002:I have sent you a private mail. Can you send your email address sir? |
ideamaster:Thanks all the same |
majiouk2002:wow, thanks. I will do that |
ideamaster:Please do you have access to Turnitin? Can I send my CDRs to you So that you can help me check with it? Thanks |
mctowel01:wow, I am about to submit my CDR too. I actually used a plagiarism checker online to check my episodes even though I wrote it myself. I was just thinking that someone too might have carried out that type of project online. What do you advice that I do now? |
yeah |
hmmn |
Please for those that have done EA assesment The projects I used in my career episodes are from my internship (after graduation) and full-time employment with my present place of work. For the full-time employment, I have all documentary evidence such as bank payslips, employment letter, tax records e.t.c. However, for the internship period, I only have the letter of employment (signed and stamped) from the company, since it was kind of "free" as I was there to learn at the time before the employment opportunity opened up. can I go on with the Assessment with these documents? |
aribisala0:why you finish him now? |
martinoonline:Thanks so much. Please I'm just confused about something. While writing my CER for the project I carried out within my six months of being employed , as parts of the requirements for writing the reports, I stated that I am employed in the company and also stated my post. So, won't EA want to verify this as work experience, and will this not disqualify me from using the standard CDR assessment (without work experience)? |
Please I need your help here. I want to submit my EA assessment for a mechanical engineer (Professional Engineer). I am in the process of writing my career episodes. However, I just started working about 6 months ago (just finished NYSC), hence I don't intend to claim points for work experience. Two of my CERs are based on project carried out during my undergraduate days, one of them is based on my final year project while the other is on a project I carried out during my internship while I was still an undergraduate. The third is on a project I carried out at my current workplace. All the projects clearly demonstrate my competence and problem solving skills as an engineer and succinctly address all areas that needs to be covered. My questions are: 1. Can I go on to use the projects I carried out during my undergraduate days for assessment? 2. Do I need a certification or evidence of employment for the internship? 3. Although I have letter of appointment/employment for my current job, will I have to provide it as well for my assessment? 4. Two of the projects are based on design and production. However, they are different designs and projects entirely, they are also from different domains in the discipline, and different approach were used in solving the problems encountered. Can I still go on and use both projects? Thanks. |
