Bakare on Buhari’s health: The next in line does not always become king

Tunde Bakare, senior pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, says the next in line to the throne does not become king in all cases.

Speaking on ‘The birth pangs of a new Nigeria’ at his church auditorium on Sunday, Bakare said those attempting to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari are doing all they could to outperform him.

He said such people “are full of show-offs in their bid to register star performances and outdo their benefactors”.

Drawing parallels between Buhari and King David in the Bible, Bakare said the king may be old and cold, but the king is not dead, and residual power belongs to him.

He said those acting in the corridor of power could keep acting but power still lies with the king to appoint who will succeed him.

“The next in line does not translate automatically to the next king. I kept quiet since because I know the day I will speak, all arrows will begin to fly, but guess what? I’m beyond the enemy’s reach,” he said.

“What is happening in Nigeria is not new, it’s not strange, but if you don’t have the wherewithal, and your wife is in intense labour, you will panic.

“What is happening in this nation is not new, it’s not strange; our nation is going through birth pangs, Nigeria is in intense labour.”

He said there are two types of labour; painful or painless labour.

He added that protracted labour is fatal, whether painless or painful, stating that “it appears that the Nigeria of our dreams is in protracted labour”.

Bakare said a cursory look at Nigeria will make anyone lose hope in the country’s future.

“Personally, I have been bombarded with requests for interview by the organised press for a very long time now, regarding the situation of the country but I have granted none. I hope the message today will answer their questions and allay all our collective doubts and fears.

“Our president who I believe is on the path to sure recovery has recently been serving the nation he loves with diminishing energy due to his ill health.

“As a result of the president’s present condition, all over the land, Absaloms and Adonijahs are springing up. Again this is not unusual.”

Bakare said the Absaloms, who seek to overthrow the king, “embraces everyone” and “warm their hearts into the minds of the simple and gullible till they steal the heart of all men”.

He added that people like Absalom do not mind if they plunge the nation into a civil war, adding that he “hopes that those within the polity with inordinate ambitions to take over power, fully, understand that all that will be left to their name at the end is a monument and not a movement”.

Bakare said as for the Adonjahs, they confuse birthright with leadership rights, and “assume that the next in line is automatically the next king, whenever the current king is no more”.

He said they forget “one major fact, that the king may be very cold, may be very old and in need of warmth, but the king is not yet dead”.

“You don’t know what prayer requests are flying in this country, left, right and centre…people who do not learn from history will repeat the blunders of history till they themselves become history.”

The preacher said Adonijah is more strategic than Absalom, that he connects himself with “Emirs, Kabiyesis, Obis…the chief of army staff,” but often has a hole  in his armour.

“The king may be cold, the king may need warmth, but the final  authority is still in his hands. All the actors in the corridor of power can keep acting, but the residual power is still in the man who is cold,” he said.

Bakare said he is outrightly against a military coup, adding that he would take to the streets if the military seize power in Nigeria.

He told civilians in power, that what makes sense is not always God’s plan.

Like the next seconds....if you are genuine and all your document are authentic, pls go ahead and apply immediately again. This time, include a letter with application, telling them why you think their early judgement of refusing you wasn't correct and further address their reason for the refusal. Come back here and testify. Cheers

You are using the word entrepreneur
but what you mean is HUSSLER!

Their success rate is low because they have been seen to be most likely to overstay
or become involved in illegal activities!
Then that will be an unfair categorisation..Not every entrepreneur wants to overstay as they are even making more money here; raking in millions with each turnover, employers of labour and dont renege on their tax obligations. Can one now decide to claim to be an employee in his own company to beat this unfair generalization?
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by know: 8:08am On Oct 19, 2016
Pls house, from the little have read here,it seems entreprenueurs dont really stand a huge chance of securing a visa. More of the success stories here has been of employees and professionals. Why is it like that? What can an entrepreneur do additionally to boost his/her chances?

[quote author=samuelUMOH post=50125357]Not necessary 3 months but address the reason for the denial and re apply after weeks or a month . Not immediately if you apply immediately it shows desperation and the consulate assumed that most young people in Nigeria wants to relcoate to SA because of recession .Unless you want to attend an event or conference or study then you can reapply immediately provided that reasons for denials have been addressed .[/quote

If he's very geniune,he can re-apply immediately.Contrary to being desperate,it sometimes suggest to the VO that the applicant might be geniune afterall. I was denied at my first attempt. The reason given was that my documents lack credibility. I re-applied the next day and submitted a letter as to why thier initial assumption was false. The VO called me after submission to ask some questions based on my application (thats why its advisable you do it yourself and even if you used an agent, make sure you go thru the application yourself). I answered correctly.I got the Visa afterwards. The take-away here is just be geniune. All the best.

Experience at POE was pretty straight forward...Confirmation of hotel booking and return ticket..Nothing to be scared of,if your are geniune.

Before boarding, you will be asked to go and pay the repartration fee their office at d airport. It is refundable.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by know: 9:36am On Sep 23, 2016
So I arrived South Africa yesterday. Flew Ethiopian airline. Flight was very good, meal on board was fair and connecting time was short. The only snag wit this airline is the repartration fee of $150 one has to part with. It is refundable after five working days if you dont have issues with the immigration at the port of entry.

You can also buy PTA at the Travelex stand at the Lagos airport. I bought a dollar @ 356. You have to get there say 5 hours before your flight to get this because of the usually long quenes.

Jonzi is a beautiful city, fantastic rail infrastructure, good road networks. Things actually works here. Our leaders are just so evil. They wont escape God's wrath.

Okay. My colleagues that came in on Saturday came in via Ethiopian airlines.theybhad a stop over in Addis Ababa for 2 hours. They however told me that they had to pay $100 at immigration in Nigeria which they said was impaction fee and they were given receipt for and they said they were told it will be returned to them upon arrival ( I and my friends weren't asked that though)
At the Point of Entry here I had a smooth entry, the guy just asked me what I was here for and I told him and he stamped me in. It took less than 2 minutes.
In fact my friend wasn't even asked his reason for coming while my other friend was delayed for about an hour while they were trying to confirm our accommodation. So I must say it depends on luck.
Just be confident and ensure you have the following
A. YELLOW CARD (it's very Key)
B. Return ticket
C. Proof of accommodation
D. Any other documents supporting your reason for entry.
Have a safe trip whenever you are coming.
Nice one,bro.

Kenya Airways.
180,400 via wakanow.
I bought it on Monday afternoon that's why it was that expensive.
Interestingly it was more expensive on Kenya Airways website.
Try Wakanow, they will give you good choices and they are very reliable.
And no, I am not in Joburg,
I am in Pretoria . The weather is quite cool.but not COLD
Thanks bro..i already booked tho! I booked on ethiopian airine. I actually wanted to know if it was ethiopian U flew so i can have a fair knowledge of their service.
