Dear house, please advise my junior colleague collected her passport with a refusal letter. So painful. She was refused due to current employment situation. She earns 172 k and her husband earns 210 k. But they submitted a bank statements and fixed deposit worth 5 million naira. She said she will like to reapply again. Pls what's her chances

@ ken. Sorry about your refusal. When did you get a mail from VFS. Ken let me advice you . You dnt need to reapply because they will not give you. What you need do now is to build your travelling history . Let me tell you what worked for me. When I was refused a uk visa , cous of lack of documentation. I didn't reapply immediately, I started to build my salary account. And after a year of refusal(uk visa). I traveled to southafrica, ghana and Kenya. Den when I returned after some few months I reapplied for uk. I made sure my family friend invited me. He sent me all the necessary documents I needed to apply. My application took a while I was also called for an interview at the British embassy. Few days after the interview I was contact by VFS to come pick up my passport. Got 6 months visa . As at den. After that I got my usa visa and now my Canada visa. So Now I have uk usa and Canada visas. I will advise you build your travelling history go apply for southafrica, reapply for ur uk. With full documentation. Travel to uk and come back. Apply to usa. Travel n come back den fire back at Canada.

@ tripple baby. Will advice you do them a mail cous they will definitely verify even if one has been refused 20 years ago.they will check. They know people keep ommiting that information mistakingly or deliberately. But if you are lucky they will do you a mail to explain why you didn't inform them. Before they take a decision on your application. When did you apply for your visa. I dnt know the email address you can send it to gurus in the house pls let's help a friend. One love

@ cherip. Thanks. Lol but your response sounds funny tho. But her fear is that will she be refused visa. She has no documents to show she was married to her claimed first husband. But she has full prove and court documents to show she's married to her real hubby which she applied with.

Hello house, my colleague applied for a Canada visiting visa , she said she click NO to question on whether she has been married before.tho she presently married. The issue here is that the name of her husband in her usa application is different from the Canada application. She applied for usa in 2014. And used married so as to guarantee her self visa which she got. The conflict here is that her usa n Canada application is showing two different name as husband. @ fort. You dnt need to have "at least 2million " in your 6 months or 3 months bank statements. You need to have more cash. You need to prove to the VO that you still have cash n investment in Nigeria while you spend your proposed 2 million Naira during you stay in Canada. Also you need to do a person statement explaining yourself and reason for the trip and how you will spend your 2 million. Itenary plan too. Will help. Are you been invited or hotel reservations. Also no artificial inflows into your account this will raise a red flag. Also submit your salary bank account. They always want to be convinced you have a job. All the best in ur application.

@ jerry. Sorry about your refusal. But on the 12th of February is on a Sunday. If am not mistaking . Or do VFS open on Sunday or do you mean 12 th February 2016. Well it's just unfortunate that a mail wasn't sent to you by the VO to explain to them why you said NO. Before they decide Whether to grant or refuse you the visa . In your application of not been refused a usa visa. And I wonder why you will use an agent when all information you need is on this forum. We have said it times without numbers. USA and CANADA share information on applicant forms and supporting documents. i was refused a visiting visa to the uk as far back as 2006. But during my application to Canada I told them the truth, that I was once refused a visa. Shikina. My dear friend my humble advise is if you decided to reapply. You need to convince them why you ticked No instead of Yes. . Maybe an apology letter explaining its was an oversight, i dnt know if an immigration lawyer is needed to draft the letter for you. Gurus in the house can hint more on information needed.

@ igu. you can re apply and correct all your mistakes. Also will you be reapplying alone or with your wife. .

Hi jay. The way he travelled. Can you explain deep on that. Because am suprised they will tick that. I just feel they are not fully convinced about his trip. Or him not showing full reason why he wants to travel for an official conference with his wife. It's not a tourizm visa.

@ ugu. Sorry about your refusal. Will ask you the following questions to determine the reasons why you were refused.
1) when did you apply for your visa.
2) why did you choose to go for a conference with your wife does she work in the same company as you
3) did you do a personal statement explaining why you have to travel with your wife.
4) apart from the travelling history did they talk about finances or any other thing
5) did you submit evidence that it's the organization that is paying for your flight and accomdation.
6) is the organization going to pay for your wife's ticket and hotel. If they are not did you include a sponsor letter indicating you are covering her expenses

7). Did you include your marriage certificate n all
how long did you tell them you are going to stay.
The truth of the matter is that Canada visa is just luck. Do your best and pray. I think you can re apply and do a personal statement also clearing the part of the travelling history. Explaining to them that you have travelling history. Just work on the parts they think u dnt provide. And reply. I hope you will get your passport back before the conference. All the best.

Let just be positive as I said. What documents did your cousin include. While inviting you. Also Canada likes it when you are sponsoring yourself. And you have bank statements and investments to show for it. Especially for visiting visa. You can use a sponsor when is school visa. Also Canada takes a long time to reply application. You saying you wanna go for Easter. I just pray you will get a respond before Easter. It's advisable to apply three months ahead before your travelling date. Like me. I told them I was going to celebrate my wedding anniversary which is September 2017. And I applied for my visa January 31st . Got 2 years multiple visa.

@ ken. What are the documents you submitted. Did any one invite you or you used hotel invitation. What were the reasons you were refused uk visa. Do you have a strong ties in Nigeria. Such as job , investments etc. the truth here is that travelling history is an added advantage also most people that are been granted Canada visas on virgin passort is either their reputable companies sends them. Or they have immediate family in Canada. Such as wife , child. , mother, father and siblings . Well you wouldn't know your faith till you are asked to come collect ur passport. Just be positive.

Hmmm. Ok. So why didn't you think about her inviting you at your first application. Can't Realy remember questions been asked in the form. But if they ask you in the form do you have any one in Canada and you say no. And now you wanna say yes that you have someone. It's a red flag. So check your form and reconfirm. Cheers

A www. Sorry about that @ seyi. I will advise you go to another country maybe Europe cous if you apply to uk. They will ask you if you have been refused before. And it will sound funny. When you say yes. Usa and Canda. If not that you are marriage will tell you to apply for school visa

@ Charles there's no specific approach to tackle usa visa application. below are the three key approach I know about tho. That worked for me.
1) what you write down in your application form I.e how much you earn etc.
2) you able to defend what's on your form ( be clear and smart)
3). Favour from the person interviewing you

Sorry seyi. I feel your pain. Maybe you should go to VFS and complain or do them a reminder mail. But have you ever travelled before or your family members travelled before.

@seyi. Will advise you do them a mail. Explaining to them why you need your passport. Especially when you know the reason you need your passport is urgent. But if it's not too urgent you can give them more time and pray that they dnt refuse you for giving them wrong information. My friend visa was granted Canada visa after she told them she has never be denied a visa. But she was once denied a uk visa. But she was able to convince them .....
