Facebok user, Kanijya Hilliard who just lost her boyfriend, Ayo Dequan shared the heartbreaking message he sent to her pleading for forgiveness just few days before he died.

According to Standard Digital Media (SDE), a 21-year-old man disrupted prayers at the busy Majengo mosque in Nyeri County, Kenya after climbing atop its minaret threatening to commit suicide.

The man, identified as Hassan Hussein caused a three-hour standoff attracting hundreds of residents.

His mother, Hadija Wambui, broke into tears as the crowd pleaded with him to climb down from the over 20 feet tower.


Wambui said her son started showing signs of stress following the death of his younger brother late last year.

“His brother died after being hit by a billiard ball at a pool table centre in Nyeri town. He was preparing to sit his KCPE exams. The man who hit him was arrested and later set free,” Wambui who lives in King’ong’o Estate, explained.

Some of his neighbours reported having seen him on top of the minaret as early as 10am and said he looked disturbed.

“We saw him scaling the tower but did think he was up to something bad, only to realise later that he wanted to commit suicide,” John Maina, a neighbour told The Nairobian.

Efforts by police officers from Nyeri Police Station to convince Hussein to abandon his mission bore fruit and they forcefully tied his legs with a rope and with the help of the public brought him down using a ladder.

He was later bundled into a waiting police vehicle and taken to Central Police Station as a huge crowd which gathered pleaded with the police to be allowed to teach Hussein a ‘lesson’.

27 year old Peter Odukoya, a Computer science undergraduate in the UK, has been convicted by a UK court after it heard an audio of a 20 year old woman he sexually assaulted. In the audio which was played in the court by the prosecution, the woman was heard pleading with him as he assaulted her "I don't want this. I'm very drunk".

Odukoya had on the day he attacked the lady, met her at a night out with some of his friends. He offered to give her a lift which she accepted. Odukoya then dropped off his other friends at their homes before heading back to his flat with his victim who was already drunk.
According to express.co.uk, his victim's "instincts kicked in" in the car and she turned on her phone's recording app which recorded her saying "Please, I have a boyfriend. I don't want this. I'm very drunk.”

She managed to push him off and lock herself in his bathroom before ringing a friend to pick her up. The girl later gave the disturbing recordings to police.
Lead Prosecutor, Harry Baker, told the court "She was left humiliated. It affected her grades. She says it completely took her dignity away."

Odukoya's counsel, Andrew Davies told the court that he had been suspended from his computer sciences course after the sex assault. He said his client had brought "shame" to his family in Nigeria, who had saved up to send him to study in the UK. His father has completely disowned him and cut him off from his family, which will affect him for the rest of his life."

Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Eleri Rees QC, told Odukoya: "This girl sat on your settee and without warning you pulled down her trousers and her knickers. She pleaded with you to stop. She was extremely distressed. You have showed no remorse. You said nothing of a sexual nature occurred which was undermined by the recordings. You took advantage of a young woman who was very vulnerable."

Odukoya, a computer science student, of Treforest, Pontypridd, was jailed for year after being found guilty of sexual assault. He will remain on the sex offenders register for 10 years and given a restraining order against his victim for five years.

A lady simply identified as Akosua has narrated how she was served a penis- like meat in a Tuo Zaafi she bought from a food joint at Pokuase in Accra.

According to the report, the lady said she went to buy food at the shop in Pokuase only for her to discover a male-looking genital in her food after almost finishing the meal.



[b]‘I had gone to get some food from the food joint because I was hungry and my preferred choice was Tuo Zaafi which I bought and took home to eat, I had eaten all the other meat in the soup and was about finishing off with the biggest piece when I noticed the funny looking meat which looked like a male genital organ.’
She also stated that she alerted her family about the strange meal she ate and they all laughed about it saying they will feed it to the dog before her sister insisted that an investigation should be put in place either by reporting it to the police or the laboratory. But they later gave up in their quest to investigate the strange incident leaving the meat in their fridge.

‘My sister opted to show it to a lab technician friend later, who said because the meat was cooked, an ordinary lab test wouldn’t be able to prove it to be animal or human. He advised a forensic test be done on it but considering the bureaucratic processes these things go through, we gave up and the meat lies in our fridge’.[/b]

Kola, you are obviously not a banker. There are so many things about that bank you do not know. Sahara Reporters reported 99.99% truth in that story (the only errors being typos on names of 3 of their Directors). That bank is gone, believe me!

So why should i trust the report from a self-acclaim professional news medium which cannot get something as simple as names of 3 of tbe bank's director correctly, yet gave me bogus hogwash they claim to know about the bank? Anyway, it is well. Whatever the case maybe, at least we can hold CBN to it.

I am not surprised. Everyone knows that any news coming from Sahara Reporters can not be trusted. Well, if CBN is giving Nigerians their words about the status of Heritage Bank, then there is no need tl worry. They've taken the responsibility on themselves. Even if any Nigerian bank should collapse today, customers money will still be refunded with the policy CBN has put in place. No need to panic jare. I knew that the earlier news by Sahara Reporters was false. They'be carroed many news about politicians in the past that was later found to be fake.
