A Facebook user named Lily Cleopatra Maurice from Orlando, Florida shared photos of her swollen lower lip from a hospital bed claiming they were caused by a Covergirl lipstick she used. She wrote:

WARNING!
Please be aware of the queen collection cover girl lipstick. Purchased lip this week woke up choking with huge swollen lips. I had to be rushed to the
ER! Could've died in my sleep. Plz be careful with the harmful products in lipsticks.

In a second post, Ms Maurice wrote:

"I know everyone is laughing and people can be so cruel even on my way to the ER people can be so hurtful with their stears and whispering.

I am trembling thinking about how lucky i was to have choked enough to awake for who know what could've happend to be. I all my family have. No uncles no aunties just me and hubby. Thankful to be alive and spend this day with my family.

There’s a video doing rounds on social media suggesting that celebrated Congolese singer Papa Wemba might have been assassinated.

The video which shows the before and after events following his collapsing on stage while performing in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire has sparked a lot of reactions from Papa Wemba fans, who believe he did not just collapse. Popular Ivorian entertainer DJ Arafat even claimed that he was sacrificed.

According to Kinshasa-makambo’s video, an unidentified man is seen taking away the official microphone assigned to the legendary singer and replacing it with another one. Immediately after Papa Wemba started singing, he fell and passed out.

After noticing that the singer had fallen, the gentleman came back, picked the microphone and left as if nothing happened.

Remember Pastor Mboro? The pastor who allegedly went to heaven, he is at it again! The South African pastor was recently seen praying for a couple inside their bedroom in a video broadcast of his ministration by first setting the couple in the mood for sex . He’s seen in the video telling them to cuddle up as he prays for them. The couple are said to be expectant of the fruit of the womb.

Students of the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Ijebu-Igbo Ogun state have cried out for justice following the assault on one of their fellow students, Folashade Leshi, of the department of Mass Communication. She was allegedly battered by security officers in the school yesterday April 18th. Entertainment Journalist, Mutiat Alli, shared the story on her Instagram page. Read her account below...


Aggrieved students of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, ijebu Igbo have cried foul over a fellow colleague from the department of mass communication identified as Leshi Folashade who was bartered by the school security (soldier) having stood her ground that she will be writing her exams since she has her cash with her as damage payment mandated on all students.

According to a close colleague who claimed anonymity, disclosed that it all stared When the Cisco office in the institution got burnt thereby affecting the continuation of exams as students were mandated to make a contribution of 5000 each via POS, Lesi Folashade who could not make the payment as at when due came in with her cash to the exam premises but was denied entry into school premises as the soldiers insisted that the payment was late. Shade's refusal to leave the school entrance gate warranted the security men to rough-hand her; denying over 100 final students who could not make payment.

With several injuries inflicted on her, the soldiers refused to let her go. Insider however disclosed that having informed the rector of the institution of the situation on ground; the rector feel no remorse about it . Folasade was later driven to 'Topan' police station by DSA ( Miss Jokotagba) where she was detained for no cause.

The aggrieved students equally noted that Prof. Jumoke bIlesanmi Awoderu (rector) is not doing anything on the case as Folashade have equally been denied access to her lawyer. At about 10pm today, jumoke was released but we students of the school insisted that we want the government to intervene and the matter taken to court. So, I am going to write about this Wizkid matter for the very last time. Anything else after this will no longer concern me. So Wizkid and I met with the Commissioner of Police today and when the Commissioner asked me what I wanted them to do with the case...I told him that I wanted peace. And the reason why I insisted on peace and not to drag the matter further i.e go to court, is because Wizkid and his lawyers have been apologizing since Friday, up until today!

I spoke with Wizkid through his lawyer on Friday April 15th where he tendered an apology to me and said he wasn't a violent person, that he didn't mean what he said, that it was just an emotional outburst. And then he asked for forgiveness. Please continue...

But despite forgiving him, he still had to show up at the Police HQ to officially apologize and write an undertaken which he did today.

I see a lot of negativity has come out of this case with Wizkid - with many folks bashing me for reporting a threat on my person. But here's my consolation and why I am glad this happened. I promise you, especially the ladies, Wizkid will never threaten you with harm again. At least not in public. I believe I am the last bus stop. He will think twice before threatening another human being again on social media. A police file has been opened for him, and he has been cautioned. The day he threatens another human being again with harm, then...

Having said that, I turned down taking a photo with him and the police commissioner this afternoon. One of his people took a pic of him and the commissioner with me in it and my people insisted they delete it. Not because I haven't forgiven him, I just don't need the extra drama.

I wish Wizkid all the best and will continue to celebrate him.

A woman suspected to have killed a two-week old baby of her former boyfriend by throwing it (the baby) into a public toilet has been arrested by Bole District Police Command, Ghana.

The Bole District Police Commander, ASP Eric Awiadem, told Citi News the mother of the deceased baby, left him in the care of some children but could not locate him when she returned.

"The complainant, who is the mother of the deceased, left the baby boy in the care of other children in her room. When she returned, the baby was nowhere to be found. A search was conducted and we found the baby in the pit of a public toilet," he said.

ASP Awiadem added that the suspect, Mariama Bashiru, is alleged to have committed the crime because she had continuously confronted the father of the baby, who happens to be her former boyfriend.

"They suspected her former rival that she might have done that because she had been coming to the house to confront her former boyfriend on certain issues. She has been picked up and is in our custody. We are investigating the case."
